@@OneStopHipHop811 I think it started because of the LL line "im only 19 making more than your pop" whick wasnt directed at anybody but Moe D thought it was relatively ignorant and irresponsible to say.
Kool Moe Dee was the better lyricist, LL had the better songs. L's songs aged better than Moe Dee's. Kool Moe Dee's lyrics may have hit harder, but you could still play "To The Breakadawn" in clubs and in your stereo system and the overall musical quality from the flow, production, and song sways in L's favor. So I'm giving this a tie since I value both lyricism and song format.
I'd probably agree with this take actually. When I listened to the KMD tracks I felt he came lyrically harder but LL Cool J songs had more enjoyability on a purely musical level.

L.L. Cool J. Is my favorite rapper of all time and he is truly the G.O.A.T. and I'm gonna side with him but Kool Moe Dee did his thing and lyrically ripped L.L. I'm just being fair and honest.
LL dissed kool moe dee on it gets no rougher he said tha ABC rap is bull shit to me
I was surprised that you didn't mention "Pink Cookies in a Plastic Bag", LL works 30 MCs' names into the lyrics, at a point he says "lovin' you moe and more" then a toilet flushes. I thought it was a silly little final nail for LL
Interesting. I've listened to that song several times but I didn't take it as a shot at KMD. Lol
@@OneStopHipHop811 it was a shot at all rappers at the time. LL claiming himself as the best/greatest of his era
Jack The Ripper > Kool Moe Dee
Do u homework dude. This beef did not start because Moe Dee thought LL was stealing his style. That's just absolutely incorrect.
Feel free to give your thoughts on the start of the beef.
@@OneStopHipHop811 I think it started because of the LL line "im only 19 making more than your pop" whick wasnt directed at anybody but Moe D thought it was relatively ignorant and irresponsible to say.
LL Cool J never called out Joe Biden for calling him a boy.
LL is a beast!!
OOH OOH YEAH MY PARENTS AND KANE AND KEKE OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS REMEMBER THEM ALL
I felt personally that LL won the beef over Kool Moe dee. Kool Moe dee is nice with the lyrics but oh boy that LL to da the break of dawn/ Murder Gram/Rampage was crazy spankings to Kool Moe dee
LL Cool J won . Kool me fell off. Couldn't keep up
I agree!!
@@stewarteasy72 💯💯
LL Cool J have his own style music he just got tired of Kool Moe Dee dissing him so he he retaliated LL Cool J stood his ground
LL Cool J's How I'm Coming diss track video drop bumbs
Lyrically I give the edge to Moe Dee, musically I give it to L. Just because you're a better wordsmith, doesn't mean you make better songs. That beat for "Death Blow" was horrible and "Let's Go" hasn't aged well musically.
Dissing ain't necessarily about song, we use to listen to lyrics. lyrically, Moe Dee better. LL always had better beats, mostly, when battling Moe Dee. A battle is always about lyrics first, one records for sales it's about both but mostly beats
I think L. L. put Canibus on a track and dissed him.
U new cats r crazy. I lived through it in NY. 1 word...Milky!!
He had a nerve 2 have them Star Trek shades on😀
You missed another single years later that Moe Dee recorded that diss LL during his last verse.....
Interesting, what's the name?
@@OneStopHipHop811 The single is called " what you wanna Do" recorded on wax from an independent label on the B side, A side is a single called "Love Love"
Kool Moe had a large lexicon. LL is not a good lyricist. Funke funke wisdom is Kools best album. LL is all image, no substance. So tell me, how do you feel about Jack the Ripper? Hahaha
Moe Dee was dope... Cool J was💪🏿
Kool Moe Dee and LL was a Tie In my Eyes... But Canibus Got LL
lol
I Guess We Will Decide Who's In The Hall Of Fame! ...Oh wait...
Moe Dee won the battle…LL won the war
Mc Shan also diss ll cool j
Indeed he did, I mentioned it on the video after this one I believe.
KMD won this, but it was soooo fun lol
Moe Dee classic but a young LL was out his league at that time...
😂😂😂 This was fake. They were on the same tour together taking turns performing city to city. I was there and I saw it first hand. 🙄 Are y'all really this bored to even be concerned about this?
You old as hell, LL ripped him to shreds.
How old you think I am? 😂
I got a feeling this guy saying ll won has no idea what he's talking about LL lost
LL bit Shan's style
What in particular is it that he bit from Shan?
@@OneStopHipHop811 the way he dressed . Starting with the Kangol .
@@OneStopHipHop811 and the beat's rite - thats why Shan wrote Beat Biter .
Which beat exactly?
@@OneStopHipHop811 What do u want , the name of the instramental ? D - C - B-BA ? listen to Beat Biter And I need a Beat
You tripping lol
Naw man LL killed him and his career
Not, wtf was you listening to 😂. KMD was older and had a college degree in his back pocket. The brother, unlike some, knew when to call it quits with the rap shit. You never heard about him going broke or anything…
the white dude is lol
Which white dude?
To all you LL haters how much is moe Dee worth now and what is he doing? Moe Dee won the battle but lost the war and I personally thought moe Dee was way overrated!! Straight garbage!!
Dude this the second video i watched from you, and final takes on both are horrible!! LL destroyed Moe Dee in the battle! Moe Dee lyrically is basic as hell…he don’t have the wordplay LL has or the sounds as good rapping as Cool J….this his hilarious smh
Thanks for watching. Music is subjective, so we all have our own opinions on it. What was the other beef you had a different take on the outcome?
Kool more Dee sucked and had no style
MOE was trash
