In terms of who had the better diss songs I think King Of The Hill was the best song overall ice cube is just deadly when it come to diss songs but no rest for the wicked and ice cube killa was good. I'm happy the beef was squashed before things really got way outta hand
The rapper in the Ice Cube Killa was a rapper by the name of Shagg he was a rapper and one of the enforcers for cypress hill and you can hear him doing background vocals on the Temple of Boom 🔥 RIP Unc 🙏🏿
Great video. King of the Hill was a better diss track lyrically. While Ice Cube Killa was good its comedic punchlines wasn't enough for Cube's solid lyricism. I remembered while being interviewed by Heritage Hip Hop, the interviewer mentioned King Sun getting into an altercation with Ice Cube. Kam and Cube exchanged subliminal disses at each other until Kam came with Whoop Whoop. Great commentary on the beef overall bro
Just randomly stumbled upon your channel, you going to be huge pause. Do a Bone Vs 36 Mafia and i'm sure your channel will blow up since its the most popular rivalry since versuz
Great video! I have great respect for Cube as a lyricist and businessman but he does seem to have a hard time playing well with others. It's especially sad to see the current situation between him a Mach 10, who rode for him against Cypress Hill even though he had no personal issue with them.
you know, when I first heard the song "throw your set in the air", I did NOT think to myself "hmm, the hook to this song sure sounds like the hook on cube's song from earlier this year" but that's just me
My issue is that “Friday” sounds nothing like “Throw Your Set in the Air” and the subject matter is completely different. One is about partying because it is Friday and the other is about getting initiated into a gang and conflicts about warring sets.
I've came across a couple of comments on RUclips years ago of these 2 guys claiming to have heard an extremely rare DJ Crazy Tunes tape where Ice Cube responded to Common The Bitch in Yoo and Cypress Hill ice Cube Killa. These 2 guys whose comments I saw on 2 different occasions on YT claim Ice Cube went pretty hard on Cypress Hill and Common. They also said that they bought the tape at a Compton Swap Meet which I'm assuming there wasn't that many copies of it and the fact they probably squashed the beef around the same time this alledged DJ Crazy Tunes tape appeared at an Compton Swap Meet.Maybe after squashing the beef Crazy Tunes might have stopped giving out the alledged tape which not that many people had to begin with.Idk but I kinda believe those 2 comments I saw
You know when I was younger watching the Beef series as a fan I was Torn about this beef cause I was cube Fan but looking back Cube was dead wrong for ripping the chorus off that hard then he lied about it to his face🤦🏿♂️😂
Yeah I agree stealing someone’s line isn’t cool but it’s like an interview with grizzly Hendrix that he did recently because someone accused him of stealing a line and after he heard the line he admitted they were really similar but when you think about hip-hop and you think about all the songs and all the punch lines, especially anything that ends in “ throw anything up in the air” people have been saying throw something or other up in the air and rap songs for damn near 35 years now. Am I seeing ice cube did or did not do it? No because I really don’t know but if you listen to the songs Ice Cube as written, his lines from back when he was in NWA, his lines as a member of Westside connection, everything he wrote for his solo career, and let’s not forget he was also the ones writing rhymes for Eazy E for not only his solo albums but also what easy would say on the NWA albums. So it’s not like the man is not capable. He is regarded as one of the top lyricist of all time and hip-hop and to think that every line he had ever written but those two occasions he was just stuck with riders blocking couldn’t come up with anything is something I kind of have a hard time believing.
Indeed, no one truly owns the line "Throw your hands in the air" or anything of the sort, so on one hand I feel it was a bit of a reach or at least something blown out of proportions. Things could have been resolved with a conversation if everyone was willing to come to the table and be honest and listen. We got some good tracks out of it though. "King of the Hill" and "Ice Cube Killa" are good diss tracks to me. Cube is definitely an accomplished writer and he possibly did have writer's block which happens to everyone at some point.
🆕subscriber Hit tha 🔔 👍🏿 & commented. Tupac was not feelin his bow down track at all, but I had to disagree with Tupac as to why, Ice Cube made No Vaseline, one of the most memorable rap diss tracks, so why get upset he made Bow Down? I think these 2 had beef with each other because of YoYo tho fr
I love cube but that's alot of suspicious shit I remember this beef, but b real got his ass on the better verse even tho cube had better song but mack 10 wasn't good at all😅
How do you figure it would have been bad for Westside connection you forgot they got people back to them too you sound very funny 🤣😂😂😂😂🤣 you not even from the streets you don't even know what you talking about
Beefs went hard in the 90s
Yes indeed....

underrated channel
Thanks for watching.

There was alot of subliminal shots at Kam on that Westside Connection first album
Word? I'm interested, which songs exactly?

True indeed, Ice Cube Killa was a bit more comedic to me as well. I remember Whoop Whoop, Kam dissed Cube on that. Not a bad track either.

Thank you, that is one that is under consideration as well.

Cube got his chain took by Franklin from GTA V

I had to subscribe. Your content is dope man...keep them coming!!!!
When you are the Goat 🐐 everybody coming for you.. yay yaay Ice Cube 🐐
Cypress came with it in No Rest for the Wicked
That shit was ill

Putting your hands in the air like you just don't care is a common hip hop saying too.
@@L1am21 Exactly!
Ice cube got inspired by throw your set in the air and made a way better song with friday.
@@netonlinecc I personally like “Throw Your Set in the Air,” myself but I am more so an Ice Cube/Westside Connection fan than a Cypress Hill fan.
Bro I thought I was tripping but ever since I heard that breakdown of this way back in the day it seemed like B Real was reaching.
I find it funny how the Mexican gangs was gonna take the side of Cypress Hill when none of the CH members was in a mexican gang.
All this info came from BEEF 2
They've done plenty of interviews since the Beef DVD days. Lol.

That's quite the story. I'd like to hear that for sure if it exists.
There is q kam diss from cube that now online so it is possible. There has been leaks of eazy unreleased stuff over the years.
I'll go with choosing Ice Cube Killa over WSC's King Of the Hill. Cube himself fell off after Bow Down IMO.
You know when I was younger watching the Beef series as a fan I was Torn about this beef cause I was cube Fan but looking back Cube was dead wrong for ripping the chorus off that hard then he lied about it to his face🤦🏿♂️😂
WC vs Q-Tip? 🤔
Wait is solo real name Shawn Fonteno AKA Franklin Clinton from gta
Yes

To be a narrator I thought you supposed to stay out of it not on either side you can tell where you down for
When it comes to music everyone has preferences. Besides stating the facts of the situations I do also give my opinions on the songs of the beef.
