@Vic Viquor no they didnt cut david hayter out. it simply wasnt big boss, it was ahab speaking, so they changed the voice. but the original big boss's voice is still david hayter.
Everyone wants a Metal Gear Solid remake but how about a remake of Metal Gear 1 and/or 2? Fighting Venom Snake or Big Boss as Solid Snake with a modern game engine would be the greatest thing in MGS history.
Eduardo Yanez Ive been saying the same thing, they've been focusing to much on the Solid series and left the Snake tales as honorable mentions instead of actually remaking them
well, at least we got what we got and do you think that remakes are actually necesary ? wouldn't they get much hate if a thing went wrong in the remaking process ? im sadly one of those guys who loves the original, jeah the 2 metal gear titles could get a bit of rework, but mgs 1 and on won't need reworks, they are nostalgic. the only thing those games could need is to make em avivable on pc or anny newer consoles to make em avivable again the commercial way. emulators are fine but not everyone uses them. and you can't say that mgs1 graphics are bad, they are wonderfull in my eyes. i still think mgs 3 and peace walker where the best though and thats the reason why a model of a chrysalis is standing on my desk right now (i dont really got much fanmerge from other series though, mgs is simply the best)

I hope one day it can happen. That konami has to give the rights to metal gear to Kojima or Sony. But, sadly it's not any time soon. They're too busy making fucking pachinko games with metal gear slapped on the side...
It will happen, all I have to do is win the mega millions when the jackpot is enough to buy Konami, hire back Kojima at what ever price he wants that will both allow me to re-record Big Boss’ lines with Richard Doyle or David Hayter, and rereleasing Metal Gear 1 and 2 with David Hayter is Solid Snake, Richard Doyle as Big Boss and Kiefer Sutherland as Venom Snake.
I've bee wanting this since about Peace Walker, redone with modern graphics and everything but an MGS1/2 style rather than 3/4 or 5. Full inventory at all times with everything you need, fixed camera positions, old school codec calls.
This already is canon. This is the end of Metal Gear 1 after Solid Snake infiltrated it and killed the fake Big Boss (AKA: Venom Snake) in Operation Intrude N131 (the cassette tape at the end of MGS5 has Operation Intrude N131 written on it, where Big Boss tells Venom about a mission being done to infiltrate Outer Heaven, then Venom punches the mirror and walks into darkness). Zanzibarland, which Big Boss mentions in this vid, was the setting for Metal Gear 2, where Solid Snake allegedly killed the real Big Boss. And then MGS picks up the storyline, ultimately ending with MGS4 showing the real death of Naked Snake (aka: Big Boss) by succumbing to FOXDIE.
Gawd this was spectacular. And kudos for finding actors who sound very similar to Richard Doyle's Big Boss and Kiefer Sutherland's Venom Snake. That really added a level on consistency.
not really. mainly the only thing wrong is they badly tried to use a Doyle sound alike for Big Boss, when they should have used a Kiefer sound a like as well. Kiefer did voice the real Big Boss in Ground Zeroes and in the intro and true ending of Phantom Pain.

Yet when you realize it's just an illusion the pain comes back. That pain that doesn't let you forget that something is really missing something that was robbed from us . A phantom pain.
I honestly thought Phantom Pain would end in a similar manner: with Solid Snake being the last boss and with no way of defeating him. That would've been a historic finale... I don't think this has ever been done in gaming history.
The Flaming Pike There was one game with an unbeatable boss that gave a really depressing final ending but I forgot what game. Reach for one, but that’s the only one I remember.
@@AVerySexuallyDeviantOrange Well, I can think of Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls 1, they were both pretty depressing, but neither of them were undefeatable though!
Armored Core Nexus,, you fight your way through an incredibly tough end mission, destroy the main computer and it's ultimate Pulveriser unit (always gets rebuilt better and smarter based on data collected from the previous one) then can't shut down the launch sequence on thousands of unmanned bomber units so you make them target where you are. It ends with a really depressing tune playing while you dodge and shoot them down....but they never actually stop coming.
Its about time someone animated this well. Like the touch with the soundtrack and that the voices for BIG BOSS & VENOM are close to sounding like there MGS4 and 5 counterparts. Also, nice work around hiding the missing arm with Kaz's outfit for big boss, didn't notice the first time.
I love this, this is the perfect ending that Metal Gear Solid V the phantom pain should have gone out on. Final boss confrontation with Solid Snake and this beautiful ending. I'm so glad I found this, this is a much better send-off to Metal Gear than anything Konami has done.
You do realize that they couldn't do that while making chronological sense right bc they already have 2 games about the fight and outer heaven *cough cough* metal gear 1 & 2 *cough cough*
@TheGoblinKingKnownAsPonyBoy - No, it wouldn't have made sense for this to be the end of MGS5. This is basically the ending of Metal Gear 1 and sets up the beginning of Metal Gear 2.
This was amazing. Other than the emotion of the scene, the thing that really impressed me was that during the flashback sequence at the beginning Snake's handgun was an m9 Beretta just like in the original game. Great attention to detail.
Quite became a Valkyrie, and she is there to take a warrior to his rightful place in Valhalla. Be joyful in the great hall Venom Snake, you've earned it.

Okay yeah that was the saddest cutscene since the boss tbh. Fantastic, I hope kojima sees that his fans will carry on the legacy of the world he made for us, in spite of how his former employers will bastardize any future installments of our beloved franchise. Great job man, you're pretty good.
He was fired from konami duder. He knows how much we all love metal gear he never got to finish producing 5 tbh i'm pretty sure if he had it his way both metal gear solid 5 gz and tpp would've been one whole game and. The whole damn prolouge would've been gz. Then he would've done all the extra shit from the relased with special edition. And perhaps had even lead it up to this in the end or something close lol.
To their credit, however little there is, it would seem they stopped with Survive; which honestly was just a test to see if "MG" would still garner buyers regardless of anything else. From what I've seen, it's an okay zombie game, just the fact that "MG" is on it that's the problem; along with the recycle of TPP's assets.
@@monethwow I'm a year or so to late, but do remember that Kojima himself screwed that one up. Budget and Time is something you should manage, he did not.
I can see that but for me it ended with 4, the final moments at the boss' grave with snake and BB. Awesome ending gave me all the closure i needed. TPP was just cool mini story filler from the past for me. I fucking love metal gear.

That guy sacrifice his life. identity and future for boss. All he was and could have been. And never doubt it. A moment of silent for you. The other boss.
He is. And he lives in denial. Living with the fact you enjoy killing. Its a similar thing implied in the film Lawrence of Arabia as well. "No prisoners!!" Protagonists and their folly over time's passage.

This fucks with the person's head deeply. Tldr being solid snake is suffering.
Venom Snake. The man who had his identity replaced with a legend then he lived the life of that legend. Even after he figured out who he truly was, he played his part. He was a normal soldier. A normal medic, yet he played the role of Big Boss perfectly. He will never be remembered. For he is a phantom, but Big Boss remembers. And a thank you from the real Big Boss himself? That's one hell of a reward.
Ive watched this so many damn times and its perfect! I dont know about the rest of you, but I will admit that I get teary eyed. Ahab fought so hard and it all came to end with him dying. He was so strong, a bad ass, and died like a champ! I would assume when he saw Quiet he was hallucinating again. That music, gets me everytime!
I liked Phantom Pain’s open ended ending, because it allows for interpretations like this. I’m really happy that the community has embraced Venom after shunning him at first. He’s truly a great character, even if he doesn’t talk much.
So big boss shoots big boss then leaves , big boss calls big boss and big boss tells big boss he's fatally wounded and won't be leaving. Big boss thanks big boss and ends the call. Big boss dies and is greeted by quiet. That's some god dam story telling!
2:49 It genuinely surprised me when he turned the song off. It seems like it's just a bit if the soundtrack shoved in, but it explains why he had that Walkman on him in the first place
So this is fan made? That’s amazing. Touches me emotionally. MGS is something I hold dear. MGS2 was the first game that spoke to me on a narrative level. Video games before that were just fun toys.
The Flaming Pike Red Dead 1, that’s the one! And Zone of Enders 1, they both have unbeatable final bosses that lead to sadness.
@@TheFlamingPike thats how ff7 crisis core ended.
Whoever voiced Venom Snake did a wonderful job!
Buckaroo Banzai Kiefer sutherland did it
Buckaroo Banzai It was the person who originally dubbed the comic
I just realized the soldier that got on his Truck was Hideo Kojima. Really small easter egg you have to zoom in.
No it was Harry Potter
Faris Zurub no this is Patrick!
I can't see his face but his Dark hair says it all!
An appropiate ending for 5 would have been the final fight of the original Metal Gear but from Venom's point of view.
5 was peacewalker. phantom pain is not "5". V is not a roman numeral in this instance. Kojima himself confirmed it via tweet. look it up.
A final bossfight you cannot win huh
@@AtheismF7W who cares?
@@AtheismF7W Then why is Peace Walker not numbered?

@@JANTHEMANization very rare to experience this kind of pain, it was beautiful.
beautiful,
Its about time someone animated this well.

You do realize that they couldn't do that while making chronological sense right bc they already have 2 games about the fight and outer heaven *cough cough* metal gear 1 & 2 *cough cough*
insidiousss
There were 2 big bosses. It explains how he "survuved" the first game after fighting snake. Did you not get that in the ending of mgs5?
I like it how he mentions Solid Snake. Seems to me like a perfect ending for that Metal Gear (1987)🤘🏼
@@jacobwooten5137 there are two Big Bosses so it would make perfect sense
@TheGoblinKingKnownAsPonyBoy - No, it wouldn't have made sense for this to be the end of MGS5. This is basically the ending of Metal Gear 1 and sets up the beginning of Metal Gear 2.

This was amazing. Other than the emotion of the scene, the thing that really impressed me was that during the flashback sequence at the beginning Snake's handgun was an m9 Beretta just like in the original game. Great attention to detail.

@@monethwow Even if he's fired. I am sure he saw this one day.
The battle between Solid and Venom should be a secret boss fight in Phantom Pain
"You're going to extract him?"
He's coming too! Roger that. Subject on board, leave the rest to us.
extraction failed!
I wish Ahab at the very end said "this is good...isn't it?" All the while the radio is still on and Big Boss hears it.
Thank you, this feels like a proper goodbye to venom and MGS
I can see that but for me it ended with 4, the final moments at the boss' grave with snake and BB. Awesome ending gave me all the closure i needed. TPP was just cool mini story filler from the past for me. I fucking love metal gear.

Solid Snake is a stone cold killer!
He is. And he lives in denial. Living with the fact you enjoy killing. Its a similar thing implied in the film Lawrence of Arabia as well. "No prisoners!!" Protagonists and their folly over time's passage.

Ive watched this so many damn times and its perfect! I dont know about the rest of you, but I will admit that I get teary eyed. Ahab fought so hard and it all came to end with him dying.
