gaming has changed. It's no longer about players, unlocks, or enjoyment. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by corporations and players. Gaming - and its false promise of finished games - has become a profit machine. Gaming has changed. DLC packs, Players buy un-finished games, use online transactions. energy drinks inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. micro transactions control. useless DLC bundle control, player control. Gaming control. Everything is half assed and kept under control. Gaming has changed.

The nanomachine subplot is one of the greatest, most well-built social criticisms ever. Since it's a system that's planted inside a soldier that regulates damn-near everything the man does, it kinda corelates back to the internet in general. The news we read are controlled. He was a terrorist and a villain but he fought for what he thought was correct. On the other hand is Solid Snake. He's also a broken man but whose goal in life was to stop wars. I remember fondly. It was August 31st, 2009. I was just about to turn 17. I just got home from Gamecrazy with my brand new Playstation 3 Slim, along with a copy of Grand Theft Auto 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Gunds of the Patriots. I hooked everything up to my small 19' MAGNAVOX 720P Television that had a small 2.1 Altec Lansing stereo system plugged into for better sound. I turned on my new playstation 3, wen't through the set-up screen and put my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I booted it up and I was immediately blown away by how amazingly good the graphics were during the install screen where Old Snake just stands there smoking a cigarette. Once the opening cutscene (Which is this) played out, I was immediately captivated. The Music that played and then hearing Old Snake speak for the first time! It definetely changed my life, if not just making a huge impact on me. I couldn't believe I had finally got myself a copy of this. Seriously one the best video games ever!

I think that in an effort to make war more "humane" we've caused it to become horrific. War used to be about killing your enemies. Now, when we've forgotten that, we've caused the age of forever war. The age of deterrence was a greatly peaceful era in human history. And what is it now?

A week ago I finished playing this game for the first time, two days ago a bunch of Hezbollah members got injured because their pagers were remotely detonated. Made me think of this exact cutscene. War’s becoming more and more about who controls the weapons.

    Memes have changed.
It's no longer about comedy, humor, or relatibility. It's an endless series of JPegs, created by people and machines.
    Memes--and it's consumption of attention span--has become a well-oiled machine.
    Memes have changed.
ID-tagged users, leaving ID-tagged shitposts, in ID-tagged servers. Moderators inside the servers enhance and regulate their abilities.
Funny words and JPegs are introduced, and die out less than 2 weeks later, due to moderation control.
    Mind control.
    information control.
    Emotion control.
    Attention span control.
everything is monitored and kept under control.
    Memes…have changed.
The age of freedom has become the age of control, all in the name of averting humor from people of legitimate comedic standards. And he who controls the internet, controls history.
    Memes…have changed.
When the internet is under total control, memes with short life spans become routine.

Fair statement. Witcher franchise has masterpiece story. MGS has better
      BUT
If we count The WItcher books, then it is the best game ever made.
      Also Doom

    • @ps3andrhcp
      @ps3andrhcp 6 лет назад +4

But we be talking games bud. The books are incredible though (I need to read them). But I feel MGS3 and 4 are my personal favorite games of all time and are masterpieces in their own way. PERSONALLY, I feel MGS3 is the greatest story in anything with 4 despite the retconning 4 does at times, something about it just makes me absolutely love it. It is a fantastic finale. Witcher 2 is a great game, but Witcher 3 is the masterpiece in the series. Although the first game is decent, it hasn't aged well at all, but in comparison MGS1 still plays great. Witcher 2 and definitely Witcher 3 are fantastic games with 3 setting a standard in it's genre, which by the way, is quite different from MGS. And I love Witcher 3 and 2. Played through 2 twice and 3 hundreds of hours.
