I honestly believe that Oda is in ok health and the shorter chapters are simply because he has so much work on his hands. He is making the manga weekly, helping with the Live Action that clearly is in filming for season 2 right now, likely will be majorly involved with the new anime as well as the current one and he has been writing more for new games and movies the last few years. Dude has a lot of projects to deal with and they only seem to be ramping up not slowing down. You get less of the main story for spinoffs and retellings with him at the front. That honestly seems to show he is at the top of his game in health to deal with when we have other creators who can hardly just keep up with a single project being the manga like our other gem of the island nation making Hunter X Hunter. That is what you can point to and go “I hope they are in good health.” He simply can’t work on other projects and the one he is doing is slow to release. I wish them both and many other creators the absolute best and a long lived future to see their creations until the end and hope for more after then.
I just noticed a bit of foreshadowing. When Luffy, Jinbe, Chopper, and Bonney first see Vegapunk’s holograms there’s a giant monster fighting a giant robot (both holograms). At the end of this chapter, Emeth, a giant robot, fights the giant pig monster Gorosei
The editor’s text when the message was first stopped contradicted york’s statement that vegapunk’s message was over. So it does sometimes give a bit of a spoiler for upcoming events.
Had a possible idea or two about that ‘impactful’ strong right. Maybe either it’s only named that because it’s part of a combined attack OR Franky could have done what he used to and used up an entire Cola bottle for that one punch. I do feel it being a combination attack is what makes it “Impactful”
Actually “The romance lives on” is talking about the romance of adventure, Mont Blanc Cricket’s whole deal. Basically, “Oh my god that robot is so cool”
By the old pace there are legitimately about 5 years worth of chapters (200ish) left in the story, its just that its now gonna take us a lot longer than 5 years to do that same amount of story
An idea: Could there be such a thing as "stages of awakening" for devil fruits? Like, the Elders have pretty much maxed out their devil fruit powers so even the sea is no obstacle to them.
Emmeth being made of seastone makes sense, Luffy and Bonnie were wearing gloves so even if they touched the giant they wouldn't have noticed, and the phasing technology that Stella used to get inside is not affected by seastone, but he is. So he probably could have fallen through the giant no problem, but got stuck halfway when climbing out because the seastone stopped him from moving.

Zoro gets lost, Sanji is a simp, Franky says "super" and Yamato would have made anyone do the "EEEEEH?!" face by saying "i'm Yamato the SON of Kaido".
She used that crap too many times in Wano for it NOT to be planned as a recurring skit.
I'm fairly sure you can immediately spot the issue that a certain vocal minority would have with such a comedic choice -_-
@@capitanspoiler7393 ok, you make a good point. I guess at the time Yamato was introduced im pretty sure the dylan mulvaney bud light garbage was a big deal, and so personally I didn't see it as a gimmick. Good observation.
@@csr2298 yeah the Mulvaney thing was probably a big factor for the backpedaling, you couldn't go into ANY social media page that discussed OP without stumbling in that war -_-
as much as i like Yamato, i'm glad she didn't join because i would NOT want to see that dumb argument after every single chapter :\
(also, i'm pretty sure her side-boob would have been the death of Sanji)
I agree we need to see a Franky upgrade this arc!
To me whole of one piece now seems to be story of India, oppression, fighting against it, revolution sacrificing themselves in style, fake history propagated by oppressors. And that's why one piece makes me angry and crying everytime 😢
Also I thinks jinbe's character seems to be inspired from Netaji Bose who declared himself PM of independent India and assembled army to fight for it's independence which actually kicked off our freedom struggle
Not everything revolves around India
It has biblical references, hindu references, Nordic references even references from the time of slavery. Joyboy is a Caribbean folklore. So no, not just india
11:27 Wait! Were Lafitte and Trebol voiced by the same guy?! I heard Lafitte's VA died, but I hadn't heard about Trebol's.
Y oda doesnt add skibidi toilets to one piece
Rodger's final words to Rayliegh:
*"I'm not going to die, partner."*
Oh thank god, I was just wondering what I was going to watch while I had my morning coffee.
Literally watching this and the chapter just dropped on ShonenJump
The fact that the anime caught up to the introduction of the Iron Giant before it did anything in the manga is wild
Zoro kinda got resurrected on Thriller Bark. In one SBS, it stated that Zoro did die from Kuma’s pain bubble, but his soul got lost and ended up back in his body.
The Johns, my crew, have all been doing Trebol impersonations since we found out of the va's passing. So hated, yet so loved.
Adding to the long list of cultural connections, Joy Boy himself shares a name with a Caribbean "spirit of the drum" who spreads joy wherever he goes.
We HAVE seen a cyborg use Haki. Mr. Kuma himself!
Bro, your videos are gold.
At the end of this chapter, Emeth, a giant robot, fights the giant pig monster Gorosei
anyone else is noticing the pokemon Sandy Shocks in some spots
franky upgrade could be knowing what metal emeth is made of and modify is iron giant with it or himself
The editor’s text when the message was first stopped contradicted york’s statement that vegapunk’s message was over. So it does sometimes give a bit of a spoiler for upcoming events.
I thought "The Romance Lives On" was just a reference to Luffy loving robots, but it's nice to interpret it with multiple potential meanings
The Romance Lives on is because of the cool Giant Mecha doing the fist punching! We all know that's the true romance to a man's heart 😌
12:40 ever since we seen Robin reading the Rainbow mist books...and the last book showed up in Albasta. This has been driving me bananas
Charlotte Moscato, minister of Gelato
I'm now singing it to the tune of Domo Arigato, Mister Roboto
I love the golem mythology. Also I am same way, I'm gun shy about believing someone will join until it's 100% official no takebacks.
Dont forget that Trebol's voice actor also voiced Lafayette
Had a possible idea or two about that ‘impactful’ strong right. Maybe either it’s only named that because it’s part of a combined attack OR Franky could have done what he used to and used up an entire Cola bottle for that one punch. I do feel it being a combination attack is what makes it “Impactful”
thank you very much for featuring my comment in the video!!
Actually “The romance lives on” is talking about the romance of adventure, Mont Blanc Cricket’s whole deal. Basically, “Oh my god that robot is so cool”
i love that literally every judeaochristian reference is directly related to the WG
I always just thought it was talking about a man’s romance with giant robots with that editors note at the end.
Robot emerged from the water, he was wet with Sea Water. Then he punched Warcury, and it worked. Basic callback to Arabasta Arc😂👀
0:43 The Sabbath starts on Friday at Sunset and ends Saturday at Sunset ; not Sunday. Cool golem connection, though!
This makes me so happy as a Czech One Piece fan.
That "Oda is overseeing too many things and not focusing entirely on the manga" is giving me GRRM flashbacks
Dude broke this episode down 5 times already
I took Sanjis line as a way to express his content with being able to give Luffy a good whack.😂
The random Sandy shocks got me😂
By the old pace there are legitimately about 5 years worth of chapters (200ish) left in the story, its just that its now gonna take us a lot longer than 5 years to do that same amount of story
An idea:
Could there be such a thing as "stages of awakening" for devil fruits? Like, the Elders have pretty much maxed out their devil fruit powers so even the sea is no obstacle to them.
"Any other characters who returned from death?"
Yohohohohoho!
Romance lives on is for luffy's love for robots as seen in the last panel
Every Czech fan of GLR: *Happiness noise*
The fact that you mention Shaman King, one of my favorite Anime/Manga earns you a like.
3:16 "Among you, there is a mushi! A snail that will reveal the truth! Liam solved it!"
The 13 page page length is OBVIOUSLY a reference to Organization XIII and/or the 13 darknesses
Romance Lives On seems to me, a reference to what is referred to as "man's romance" in One Piece, which is the love for robots and scifi cool stuff
I feel like Franky getting haki makes since, he is pure will power and seeing him slap a big hitter with a haki clad rhino bike would be sick
6:10 oh ya about that hows that franky bingo going
Waiting 100s of chapters hoping Vega punk would give us answers on a lot of things only to have more questions now than answers
Interesting perspective, got me thinking!
