Those are some terrible penalties. The goalkeeper was already diving on multiple ones and they just shot it right into the hands of the direction the keeper was already going
Vanderbilt came to play against a better team...and won! period. Florida estate way superior to most of the D1 teams could not figure out a way to win it; they expected their opponents to just roll over. Tough lesson, no matter how good you are, you still have to fight...FSU players are going to remember this one for a while...good, next time, they will come ready to play. I am routing for Duke, Wake Forest, or Virginia Tech... I think they have what it takes to win it. Arkansas and Michigan St. are strong and direct, but I don't think have enough to win it.
I was honestly shocked when I saw this result. I expected FSU to take it all this year, or at least make the Final 4. This has to be the biggest upset of the season. Although I guess without Christina Roque and Onyi Echegini, the Noles are really feeling their absence.
I've only been watching NWSL but NCAA seems to be great fun, too. But the scoreboard on this video was seriously confusing to me at the beginning. I did not realize they counted the time backwards in NCAA and that the away team was listed first. But if the ref actually stops their clock for every delay in the game like they do in some other sports, it could be a great idea for battling time wasting
Also joining in the 3rd round of the NCAA Women's College Cup was Vanderbilt University as the 8th seeded Commodores brought a major upset over the top ranked Florida State Seminoles, 4-3 on PK'S after a 6 goal stalemate at 3-3.
How utterly pathetic to upload such exciting highlights only to completely deflate the viewing experience by stupidly putting the result in the title. You should be fired from your media job.
I still think this year the FSU recruiting made several mistakes on recruiting some of this girls that shouldn't belong in this team beginning from the goaly thru the defense this has been the worst if seen the FSU play i understand that the lost several players but they need to bring better ones this is FSU and evey year there fighting for the championship so they need exelant players
With all due respect, you can’t see from this camera angle. She could’ve had her back foot still on the line but it appears that way. You can even hear the ref say “at least one foot on the line before the ball is kicked”
The drawstring on the sweat pants of the cameraman filming the dogpile was hanging on for dear life! That's the true hero of this video!
him: thank god i wore underwear today
🤣
Beast of a goalie smiling liking a maniac, my coach always told me the best goalies are always insane , in a good way
10:12 before getting onto national TV it is advised that one pull up their pants😮🙄

A magnificent finish by the Vandys. Congrats!

2nd round the defending Champs out? Yikes
Their season was pretty rough this year compared to ladt
But losing by PKs is not really losing...

The pens are so trash
Florida state keeper out of position on almost every goal against...

It seems that Vanderbilt GK may have dived before the last PK from FSU taken
That’s legal. You can move laterally along the line whenever and as much as you want. As long as she doesn’t come forward off the line with both feet.
Dam Florida states keeper is trash
Former keeper…..no skin in this fight…..the Vandy keeper was off her line before the player made contact with the ball on both PKs.
