Mark is the hardest working man in music with three active bands. Then there's Myles Kennedy with AB, his solo stuff, and his work with Slash. Those two deserve all the success in the world for the music they've given us. Seeing the clips from Creed shows has been a good reminder of how great a performer Scott Stapp is, too. It's a great time to be a fan of rock.
I saw Creed in 2012 and again last week in Chicago. Scott has definitely gotten better over that period. He was doing everything effortlessly, even by the end of the set.
Love that Mark is still rocking a reliable, dependable, old iphone 8, instead of buying the 'latest and the greatest, flagship phone', when there is no need to do so. The old phone works absolutely fine and does what it's supposed to, and I love that. One of my favourite guitarists of all time. His solo on 'Pity for a dime' was the first example I saw of how good Mark was, and the rest as they say is history. Superb interview, keep it up! 🙂🤘🎸♥️
I can’t agree more with what Mark said at the end. What kills bands is the creative control from the inside. Mark is able to objectively look at what made Creed great and say let’s keep doing that without wanting to just make it about him. Good stuff.
My wife and I just came back home from Creed’s Concert. It was just amazing ! The best Concert I’ve been. I hope Creed continues to Tour and make new music. I can’t wait. We’ll definitely going to see the Band again next year .

I saw Creed last night in Hershey, PA, and they were amazing! It was my first time seeing them, and they've been my favorite band since I discovered them 25 years ago! I'm still high from that musical experience! I hope they drop new music next year and tour again because I'm there!! ❤❤
Was in Hershey as well. Saw them many years ago with Sevendust in Wilkesbarre in support of their earlier if not first album. Last nights performance was by far the better of my experiences.
Really enjoyed hearing what he had to say near the end about new Creed music. He is unique in that he is in three bands and writes music for all of them and they all have a different sound. I totally get what he is saying about the time to write new Creed stuff would be now since they are playing those songs every night and he is back in that groove and mindset of the Creed sound. And I absolutely think he is right, keep Creed sounding like Creed. Don't turn it into Alter Bridge or Tremonti. Creed fans love the clean intros and the big heavy drop D chugs, and he is a master at writing those riffs.
21:41 I have waited so many years for him to notice this. From what they say they are going back to their old sound FINALLY and you can even tell with their latest live stuff that they have finally realized what people really like to hear. Stapp has been doing sort of a higher voice with his solo stuff and often when he does Creed songs he does it too and it doesn't sound as good, and I thought maybe it was due to his age, but hearing this latest stuff he's sounding like he did back in the day. If they write around that old sound they could come out with an insane new album.
stapp's talked about how people mocking his voice basically cleaned out some of his idiosyncrasies but i miss the yarl. it feels like with the reception they're having, and how much they've grown, they could release something extremely hard and get a great reception. rock has been dead on the charts for years & it feels like they have a wide lane to flip the script here.
This song is fire, I agree with him when he talks about FC album and how it isn't a Creed album per se but that being said I do like how the songs are a little bit heavier and how Tremonti vocals made them better as well.
When Creed first came out, I lived in small town Kansas were the only "rock" station was more of a pop station. So I knew nothing about Creed until a girl I started dating put on their first album one night while we were hanging out at her apartment. Ran to the music store the next morning. When "Human Clay" dropped, I was at the store again first thing in the morning. Only I couldn't find the dang CD. Turned out they hadn't unpacked the shipment yet. Made the clerk go back into the storeroom and find it for me. Pretty sure I had the first copy in my town. That album was big enough that the local station finally started playing their music.

My opinion as a selfish fan.... Mark puts everything else on hold and is 100% Creed. He has too much going on, imo, and Creed is magic. Unfortunately Creed is cack in comparison to Alter Bridge and Tremonti. Creed is like basic chart music, probably sells to the masses and makes money, but it’s got no edge at all…boring
Mark needs to leave Creed and stick with his solo stuff. I was at a recent concert of theirs and it was awful thanks to Stapp's non-stop preaching about god. Nothing worse than listening to an alcoholic, drug addict tell me that I need Jesus. Don't even get me started on 3 Doors Down BS. F those guys.

Awesome guitarist. Not so awesome iPhone. Time to upgrade my man.
Interactive magazine feature? Aka RUclips video? lol

@@GuitarInteractive Cool, but Interactive magazine sounds like something straight from 1998
These timestamps are ALL fucked up. Whomever set those didn't listen to any of this interview or pay attention.
That’s what delays for mark lol
Unfortunately Creed is cack in comparison to Alter Bridge and Tremonti. Creed is like basic chart music, probably sells to the masses and makes money, but it’s got no edge at all…boring
I know exactly why Paul doesn't want to sell that custom guitar. Because it's so damn ugly! 😂
F those guys.
lol which venue? The phoenix concert was awesome even with the preaching. It’s not like I’m going to convert. Did it really bother you that much? Or are you mad because mark is touring again with creed?
I want to see a Metallica Creed Tour . That would easily rival Taylor Swift's Eras Tour . 💯❤️🔥💥🔥🚨🌟💫⚡✨🫣🤔🫢🤨😶🌫️🧐🤯🤦🦁🫦👍🤩😍🥰
