@@MasterMind-py2nk This is true, but like with female rappers, I don't think he should be relegated to just white rappers. People like to make lists, but I personally prefer tiers, and I would put him up there on the top tier along with the ones you named before and many more.
I think one of the things that's maybe a unique metric of measuring Eminem's greatness is how many people who don't necessarily have him as one of their favorite rappers or maybe don't even like him but they have at least one or two of his songs that they respect or like. I personally don't like Eminem for multiple reasons but when I look at his skill, creativity, innovation, the way he personifies the culture and those few songs I absolutely must listen to, I'm as compelled as his biggest fans and supporters of his stature. I mean if hip hop is married to the black community it has a love affair with Eminem, and he loves her back. It is what it is. Em is the GOAT. We still haven't gotten to look at his impact in hindsight because he's still current. Wait till he's gone. Em gone, especially where hip hop is going?

No other rapper was saying the word STAN before Eminem. Nas was the first rapper to use the word STAN in a song after Eminem on the Ether track & now I feel like that word is misused especially today & people dont even know where it came from but whether people like Eminem or not, he still needs to get his flowers because he made up a word that never even existed in the English dictionary & now STAN is an actual word that was added in the Oxford Dictionary.
Dang, that word has been used in other communities as well. Eminem really is the GOAT, even if it's small, he's had an influence in communities outside the music industry. I've seen that word used plenty of times in anime related communities but didn't know it was a word created by Eminem.
Eminem said in "white America", "if I was black, I would have sold half, I ain't have to graduate from Lincoln high school to know that". If he sold half he would be #5 in sales.
I grew up on Eminem and he got me into Hip hop. I listen to so many artist that I forget sometimes who is who. Eminem is unforgettable and is worth that praise. There are so many points I could make but I just think the closing argument is if he’s only a “top rapper” b/c he’s white, then why doesn’t that work for every other white rapper? Why isn’t the top 5/10 entirely white dudes, or even HALF white dudes? Hell top 30-50 even. This is the biggest difference when it comes to the Elvis comparison. A shit ton of white rock stars, massive global super stars, rode in on Elvis’s coat tails. …or jumpsuit flares lol. Em blew open the door for white rappers and…??? “Okay that’s how it’s y’all.” “Hello?” Yeah some great white rappers have emerged, but none anywhere near his level of achievement and impact, 25 years later. And certainly not enough to claim white is the silver bullet. Not to mention how many white artists of all genres, of all races, become wildly successful and get chewed up and spit out by the music industry like gum-balls at the drug store.

Fat Joe and many others heard him and thought that boy was sick, they didnt know he was white either back then. Em always respects his peers, such a shame many dont respect him back. There are also many that do respect him fortunately enough. But him always being a discussion says enough that he has a big impact. If he was a nobody they wouldnt need to defend their bullsh*t they saying all the time. You can have an opinion, that doesnt take away from the fact that Em' is a GOAT. Or even The GOAT. Put anyone on that billboard list against Em' and see who is standing at the end of that. My bet would be Eminem, no contest. Sure there are some that can be considered on his level or close to it, but none of them are above him. 🤷
If haven't noticed when it comes to Em on what he thinks of himself, he NEVER gives himself enough credit. Yeah, it might come off different in his music when he says how he's a rap God and different things like that. But in real life, he's always been his own toughest critic. It is nice for a change to see so many other African-American artist coming to Eminem’s side for a change. I think the last five years enough is enough. @@FGLKyoumaEminem is by far the best white rapper of all time
@@MasterMind-py2nk This is true, but like with female rappers, I don't think he should be relegated to just white rappers.

Yes his recent stuff doesn't vibe with people but that is only because they are listen on the surface.

It is nice for a change to see so many other African-American artist coming to Eminem’s side for a change. I think the last five years enough is enough. He’s never started one hip-hop beef, he has been involved in, he is constantly giving praise to the legends that came before him, he is constantly always trying to help other emcees, and there are some people that will just never give him his props, no matter what he does. I’m so tired of people and hip-hop that are pretending they’re quote for the culture.” But when you actually look at the résumé, the only thing they’ve ever done for the culture is bitch about Eminem. Meanwhile you’ll have 12 rappers a year to our current artist just shit all over the history of hip-hop in every legend they came before them and these people that are so “for the culture.” must’ve been asleep those days.
But yeah, I’m very happy to see that they were finally artist standing up for him because I think it’s long overdue. This dude has come in with the upmost respect and whether you like his style, or how he wraps, that’s something I can understand, but to say he’s not one of the best when it comes to lyrical wordplay, is either someone being a hater for the sake of being a hater or they really don’t understand lyrical word play.
