- Before you say you always check the time on your phone because who has a separate physical clock these days anyway - the phone needs to go too.
- If you’re now not sure what to do with your eyes, just roll them!
- You can wash your face with cold water. Instead of shocking you awake like you’d assume, it works to reset your nervous system.
- A warm bath before bedtime kind of works the same way but on a much larger scale.
- Make sure your bed is open on both sides and that it’s in the northwestern part of the room. Hey, Feng Shui has been around for thousands of years, so it must work!
- Don’t forget to put some socks on before you get under the covers! Studies show that if your hands and feet are warm, it helps regulate your internal body temperature.
- Try putting a pillow between your legs to avoid tossing and turning all night.
- And, speaking of which, what better way to fall asleep than to cuddle up with your pooch? Hey, it’s been proven by science!
- Make sure you’re getting enough sun during the day.
- Feel free to take a nap during the day! Napping for 30 minutes or less can improve your overall brain function, which aids in sleep!
- Avoid late-night eating, even if you swear you’re about to fall into a food coma!

Huh? Different for me. I use electronics for 2, 3, hours before bed so my eyes get tired and sore and my brain signals me to sleep, so I jsut put my device back and I sleep instantly.
But today was the day before school, I thought not to use the device but instead I couldn’t fall asleep bc I wasn’t tired enough! Been hours (8-10 hours) and I still can’t sleep

A little tip or maybe just based on my experience: Sleeping with many pillows around or beside you helps, because you'll feel more comfortable and close you eyes without thinking anything for atleast 2 minutes and baaam *and don't forget to pray* :)

I use an acupressure point. Hold the inside of the little finger joint closest to your palm with your finger and thumb of your other hand. Press firmly counting to 30. My breathing slows and deepens, my eyelids close as it relaxes me and gets me ready for sleep. I am out like a light in seconds! It’s great and sometimes I don’t even get to 30!

Edit: life hack: set your alarm either 30 minutes or an hour earlier than the time you usually set it so that when you hear the alarm you will have time to wake up before you have to get moving.
(If you are a really tired person, I would suggest an hour earlier but if you’re a light sleeper or not as much sleep needed, I would say the maximum of 30 minutes but if you think you can do smaller, even like 10 or 20. It just depends on your sleeping habits) sorry that was really long lol

That intro is dead-on! When I know I have to wake up early in the morning I don't get sleepy until two hours prior to the designated time of wakefulness! So when I find myself thinktoog to much I grab a book and read a few chapters. After 20 mins, its cozy star dream-ride for me!
