I started watching your videos a couple days ago!!! Of the ones I've watched so far, most of them are very interesting but this one is my favorite so far!!! I love the waterfall!!! The ruins were very intriguing!!! I will continue to watch your videos!!! I'm from Union SC
When I was small the coal company above my grandparents farm in the mountains would use water to was the coal out in the 70s. When their reservoir got full at the top of the mountain a whistle would blow and they would release the water into the branch beds that ran in front of people's houses. It would be like a raging river for an hour at least once a week for a few years till the seams ran out. The water ran into the Cumberland River.
That was amazing!! Every stop was just so spectacular. What a find. I love old ruins. Trying to figure out what it originally was like. What it still could become. Thank you so much Jay.
The trough you videoed in the center of the building with a pit with some piping exsposed was more than likely the filter were as water would have came up from the bottom to flow down that trough. Any heavy particulate would have sunk to the bottom and ever so often the incoming Spring water would have be shut down come in and a bottom drain to waste would be opened to clean the bottom of sediment captured in the pit. Every thing would have been reversed and given the chance to settle down so they could bottle from the trough once again. I'm a retired from our municipal WTP. as the Chief lab Director and Historian of the Water treatment plant with 40 yrs of Service. I have study water treatment plants and the technics used in the 1800's The large boiler was more than likely for use with a steam driven pump. More than likely coal fired also huge pumps were used to get that water from the stream up to the plant. And it had to be a good size steam engine pump for the job. By the way they called it spring water more than likely the stream was spring feed. You showed what might have been a mining operation. It sure had all the signs of being one. Could have the mine been sealed shut by blasting and it is well covered over not to be found. One last comment. I'M A Huge Rail Road buff have been since child hood. I know Rail Roads went far out if there way to build elaborate drainage docks & ditches to keep springs from washing out there beds. As to restore a section washed out would take a huge amount of man hours to repair. They build some amazing viaducts to channel water and in the past you have showed many such stone structutes in your video's. Keep searching for relics large and small. Best wishes to you and the family in the New Year.
Your variety of places that you do show, not just the abandoned homes or hotels is just one of the many reasons that I like your channel, I do not see that you should change what you do, keep up the great work.
I’m loving this one. A little bit of creepy, a little bit of history, a little bit of snow. You’re one of my kids’ age, so don’t think I’m being weird...one of my favorite things is watching you get as excited as a little kid about a site that’s cool like this one. 🤗 Thanks again for taking us exploring with you!!
OMG 😃 those falls are simply gorgeous 😍 I love places like that...wandering through the woods just seeing what you can find 😍💕 what an awesome video and a great place to explore 😀😊 Thanks for letting us tag along with y'all. As always Blessed be and stay safe ❤🙏
Another great video!!! Places like this bring your imagination into play, wondering what it was like when it was in operation. Loved it!! THANKS for sharing!!!!
This may be my favorite video yet ( of course I seem to think that most of the time LOL ) Love outdoor explores and this one had it all. Especially loved the green moss among the stonework..and the waterfall ..gorgeous....brilliant photography once again , Jay. ( was out of town and missed the premier...shoot : ( Had to watch it "all by myself " ..
wow, great explore ! so many beautiful things, the rushing water, the moss on so much & the wonderful huge ruins with exquisite stonework. thanks so much for this awesome vid. great history practically in the middle of nowhere. camera work & narration stellar as always. keep safe & God bless :) :) nancy in ga
This looks like a dream of an explore! From the gorgeous waterfall to the curved little archway with a tree growing in it. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
That was awesome Jay! Love to explore but not body able. You do a great job of filming and narrating. I don't feel like things were passed over too quickly as with some explorers. Thank you!
That is truly one of the best finds yet jp .only been watching off and on for a year or so now .not a big phone person or how to work my phone properly.but tis video is in your top 5.atleast.wow.😊
I thought this was an awesome video. I would love to be able to explore an area like this. The water fall was gorgeous. The spring water plant was beautiful stonework. The ruins would be fun to imagine what they would have been. The icecicles looked really cool too. And all set in a beautiful scenic area. Thank you for taking us along. I think the stuff leaching out of the concrete is like and calcium but I am no expert there. Ps I am a huge rock and fossil hound and would love a chunk of the coal like you showed. Would it be possible for you save me piece sometime and I will pay for the postage to send it me?
What??? No pool furniture in the pool and old tv’s? I can’t believe I watched this crap! lol Just cause it didn’t have stuff, doesn’t make it boring by a long shot! Beautiful country with the bonus of ruins. Can’t believe they built structures that hold up like they have in the past compared to modern day crap that would be dust in 20 years. Reminds me of one of the first explores I liked from your channel that I watched .....don’t remember the name, was it a door or a water way (my bet is still a old door frame)??? Anyway great explore almost like I was there, but 70 degrees here in AZ so a lot warmer! lol gave thumbs up as always!
Oh yeah, the mystery tunnel water passage. 70 degrees? No one likes a bragger lol. I'll be in 70s myself next week down in Florida, then i get to brag haha.
That looks like and old abandon 65 Chrysler Newport ....now that look like a ford ......what a great looking building .... wow toys .....wow now that is a beautiful looking water fall .....what beautiful looking bridges and tunnels to ...now that water look good to drink right out of the stream ......that look like a lock and dam system...were water ran through it .... nature carpet ....now that look like a hallway of a castle.... i love this kind of stuff.... heck you could make diamonds out of that coal
Hi Jay, some impressive remains, I think that sunken area would have been some kind of holding tank and the big pipe may have had a filtration device to get rid of any heavy metals and debris, the flow of water would have been going towards the holding tank rather than away from. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. x
I have to say I enjoyed that video quite a bit waterfalls were beautiful and the archway with the icicles that was too cool that would be a place to just walk through there and spend the day really nice video.
I glad you got out here. I was looking at this place last summer as a location to visit. I had done a little research but ended up forgetting about this place. Good to get a look at it.
I was too late for the premiere 😭. Abandoned cars like that give me the willies, but I love love it!! Love the stone bottling plant building. Gorgeous craftsmanship! Love waterfalls too. Amazing ice cycles! This video had a little bit of everything awesome 👏👏
There is certainly a lot of interesting remains to see on this explore. I love checking out stuff like this and you hit the jackpot with this time for sure. Oh, and I, too, love the various waterfalls and you just can't beat the relaxing sound that they make.
A breathtaking place reclaimed by nature. Everything that comes from this earth will eventually go back to it. When nature reclaims what rightfully belongs to her, the results are nothing short of spectacular.
So relaxing and so interesting. Got me looking up all kinds of words and stuff on Google. Keeping my mind sharp. Thanks for all the videos I love them all so far. God Bless your days.
I think it's so cool how you all explore these abandoned places. I'm not even sure how I stumbled on your channel but RUclips must have shown that I had some type of interest in this! Thank you for taking me on your adventures!

What a great find, love that building, those rocks will stay forever. Its awesome to see something like that in the middle of the woods. Blue water they say is good drinking water very pure, that why that plant build where it did, they were very smart.JP this is the best I have ever seen the history is jjust awesome it just blue my mind. I just can't believe the beauty out there it blows my mind. I guess I am a kid in a candy store, but I don't care this is just awesome 100%
This was still exploring. I find it interesting. The waterfall was beautiful. The moss growing everywhere was pretty. It looked like carpet in some areas.
Great video, I believe that your second idea of the water flowing up from the pit flowing into the metal trough is the way it worked and the stone building is more like a manor house not a castle(no round turents) I was lucky when I was 16 to explore the ruins of a burned out castle in Germany the whole building was all standing with no floors you stood in the middle of this huge open space just 4 walls with window cut outs and look straight up 7 stories into the sky, you could walk up the round turents to the top because they were made all of stone. I also got to see some old Roman ruins of the foundation from a bathhouse that stood about 5ft. tall with all the different rooms. Very cool.
