  • Wait until you see what's inside this place...
    I first discovered this location on my summer road trip. I stumbled upon it on my travels when I noticed a vehicle laying on its side. Not knowing the story or current situation, I simply snapped a few photos and went on my way. I shared those photos in a random roadside video and a viewer of mine reached out to me. It turns out this place was indeed abandoned and was mentioned that I need to return to check it out. So if you're curious as to what's inside and the story of this place, all you have to do is come along with me. Enjoy

    Quick update.
    After the release of this video I was corrected that the opening was a septic tank in the ground. Also received confirmation that the dad/husband died inside this home.

      That may explain why everything was left behind and a good possibility that the escape could have been his vehicle. And may also explain the noise you heard while we were in the kitchen.

    Very interesting but also makes me a little sad. Long ago I had to abandon a property and it was heartbreaking. It looks like they may have been forced out quickly. Maybe they didn’t have time to take their stuff. The needle may have been some meds for the Dad when he was sick and not someone shooting up. Just a thought that crossed my mind. Nice video! I like that you are always so respectful when exploring these. 😁

    • @JPVideos81
      @JPVideos81  3 года назад +3

      Regarding the needle, it could of been for the dad, but found it odd that it was just laying out. With the place being ransacked, it seemed more like someone was in there after they left. Either way, sad situation when families have to pick up and leave over a devastating situation.

  • @ronniebarksdale8528
    @ronniebarksdale8528 3 года назад +10

    The needle is possibly for insulin . If the dad was so sick he was possibly diabetic. I am diabetic and have used needles like that for years until going on a insulin pump.

    So Yeah, There i was innocently sitting down having some supper while i watched and i had just started on my potato salad stage then ......it happened...... just had to open the fridge! In mid potato salad mind you , before i could completely get down the mouthful the delightful and almost ASMR quality (i had headphones on ) sound of JP's near esohpegeal reversal graced my auditory perception. At this point one could say i had a totally immersive experience!!
    It was at this point i thought it logical to put the completion of my meal on hold untill the olfactory suggestions supplied by the revelations of "the fridge check" cleared the air of the mind. However i do believe it shall be some time untill potato salad will be considered a desirable food for me lol !!

    I can completely understand leaving all this behind because I did the exact same thing. I had no choice really. In 2013 I lost my father, in 2015 I lost my Mother. They were hoarders, about the same amount left in this home I had to walk away from in mine. The trailer all of it. Car was repo'ed, I was their caretaker, and I myself am now disabled. By the time Mama went I was already sick enough myself that I can't care for myself. My Church helped me rent the second biggest U-Haul you can, I loaded it 2/3rds full with what I could fit into in in 15 days and I vamoosed. I had no savings, I left college to care for my parents, I left my husband whom I had a life with overseas and came home to care for my Mom and Dad, I did manage to go through the majority and remove personal photos and such, and get the negatives. But All the Appliances, beds, furniture The Storage Shed, 4 years worth of Avon Inventory, Computers/Printers Everything I couldn't get, a lot of it I miss. After the shock of losing my parents and finding myself an Orphan so suddenly, a LOT got left behind. The Landlord wasn't going to let me stay, even if I COULD find a job, My Aunt and Uncle came down and me and my sisters got what we could fit in the U-Haul and it their vehicles and that was that. The house (which was paid off!) all got left behind.

    This was the first time I have had time to watch this video and there was a overwhelming sadness that came over me when you went into the last bedroom. I wonder if someone came in and ransacked the place as how could they live or even walk around with everything in such disarray. This video reminded of the one you did where you could barely get in and move around but found some Old toys like the jack-in-the-box. Thank-you for sharing with me. Great video even if it left me feeling sad.

    Hey, guys, maybe you _did_ hear noises in there---from stuff _growing_ under the mountains of debris, like hearing the corn growing in Nebraska! Also, I recommend if you're going to open refrigerators, you should always carry a _ten-foot pole_ with a hook on the end for pulling open the doors. (I once moved into an apartment that had a #10 can of something greasy in it that had grey-green _fuzz_ reaching both up _and_ down to other shelves. I borrowed a large gooseneck pliers from my buddy to clamp onto it and carry it out to the Dumpster out back---then dipped the business end of the pliers in boiling water, just in case!) BTW, do you think people trucked in more junk to dump onto the mess on the floors? Sure looks like it's more than a mobile home would ordinarily hold. Stay safe, everybody.

    • @JPVideos81
      @JPVideos81  3 года назад

      @@JPVideos81 I don't know why it slipped my mind that this was a stationary mobile home, but I kept thinking there couldn't be _room_ for the amount stuff piled so deep on the floor. Mobile homes have so much storage space packed into them, these days, that when you pull it out of the cupboards and closets, down off shelves, and drop it, it looks impossible! As we used o say, "Been there; done that": I lived in a 4-room cabin for a lot of years and when it came time to move, it almost overwhelmed me when I started packing it up! Yikes!

    I believe that was the septic tank you thought was the well. It's an above ground cover which makes accessing the tank easier. If you notice, there was another concrete cover right next to it. The tank is divided into 2 sections, 1 for liquid and 1 for solids.

    There definitely is to much stuff in that tiny place which makes me think that this was a moderate hoarder situation and I say that with respect and have seen and dealt with several situations in my past job with people that were hoarders and relatives that were as well so I see that is a huge possibility. Though I really think that property is great and has huge potential.

    In the first bedroom with the kids' pics and the music stuff on the wall, there is an urn on the shelf unit that is a funeral home urn that holds a person's ashes--I have the same type of urns with a sealed lid with my parents ashes. Did they even leave the husband's/father's ashes behind? This place looks like it was a mess of hoarded stuff even before they moved out. Great explore, JP

    If I didnt know any better I'd say this was a case of hoarding. They just got out before it became like the people on the show. The hoarding is always a symptom of a trauma that happened to the person. For all we know dad was the one keeping the family together and it all went to pot after he died. I do hope the family is ok. Such a shame...there's so many homeless families out there that would absolutely LOVE to live in that trailer! And that would work hard to clean it out, remodel it, & maintain it. I really hope someone gives a family a chance to take care of it. Of course, we all know the horror stories of bad renters too...but darn. Seems such a waste. I hope that family is doing ok after losing the Dad💔. God bless them!🙏🙏🙏
