    Another awesome video. I am 50 and thought my hair was super damaged but it actually was asking to be wavy. Only discovered this magical fact on 3/22/24 so I have watched a LOT of videos and my life has been wavy hair trials over here. You're the first person to mention how long it takes for the mids to dry. I feel seen. Thank you!

    Holy cow! This is almost exactly how I've been using my diffuser on my own hair which I basically figured out through trial and error lol. Nice to know I've been doing things the right way. I don't do my roots the way you did is the only difference but i still get pretty decent volume. Sometimes I put a few clips in my roots and diffuse it like that to help get more lift. Love your hair btw. It's really beautiful

    Hi Michelle, Can’t wait to see the combo of products because I love your results! Most other curly hair influences say to dry your roots first. For me and my low density, high porosity and fine hair, I find that my roots dry the quickest and this method would work best for me. Thanks again for a great video!

      Thank you! I’m pretty happy with this product combo! My roots dry pretty quickly too, it’s the mid lengths that take forever for me. Let me know how it works for you! Thank you for watching!

    This is a great video especially for a beginner. I'm happy you made it a point to say frizz free is unattainable. You may not have frizz in the present moment but real life will quickly fix that for you. A little frizz is not the end of the world as we are usually lead to believe because without it people like me would have completely flat boring hair. You look wonderful and thank you for this video!

      Thank you! Oh yes, life will definitely step in and give you some frizz! lol Nothing wrong with frizz at all. I do like to minimize it in the styling process but once I’m done it’s a free for all, come what may type situation. Thank you for watching!

    Oh this is what I needed! I have very long thick heavy hair and following other methods my curls stretch, and the mids don’t dry well. Tomorrow is wash day, I’m trying this.

      Well, I tried it. And Wow, my curls don’t have droopy sad mids, and my root volume is great too. Because of the weight of my hair my curls tend to look ropey, and now they look much more bouncy. ❤

    Good morning, I’ve been watching so many curly hair videos on YT. I was born w super straight hair but now in my mid 40s I definitely have curl. After washing and when wet, my roots are crazy curly. I don’t even know how to style. How do I know if my hair is wavy or curly? What type, 2a/b, 3a/b etc? It’s all very overwhelming not to mention styling products 🥺. How do I find out when my hair type is? One video takes you to another…thought I’d ask you since you’re a hairdresser. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

    I need to try this! I usually flip over first then back upwards but never side to side. Then there's the volume hack you showed with the root drying at the end. Amazing results 👏! Tfs! Blessings!

    It's time to break out the diffuser again and I feel like I don't remember the first thing about using it for wavy hair. Thank you so so much for reading my mind and having a diffusing video! Can I ask, I've been thinking of getting a new diffuser for my dryer but in stores I see diffusers with deep enough bowls but they all have that plastic grille that almost level to the top of it. Would you suggest something like that or should I go online for a "real" diffuser?

    • @CurlyChelle547
      @CurlyChelle547  2 года назад

      Yes! Somewhat cooler weather has arrived! I’m glad this video came at the right time for you! I would probably skip the diffusers with a grill. I think the bowl type ones with “fingers” do a better job. The grills kind of defeat the purpose of a bowl and I don’t think they diffuse the air enough. Thank you for watching!

    What heat protection do you use?

    • @CurlyChelle547
      @CurlyChelle547  Год назад

      It depends. I have several products that have a heat protectant in them. Like the Kerotin Hyaluronic acid Detangling spray or any of the Evolvh leave in conditioners. Some styling products have a heat protectant in them too. I usually use one of those. Thank you for watching!

    Is your hair soaking wet? It looks like it drenched your shirt. Does the hair need to be soaking wet?

    • @CurlyChelle547
      @CurlyChelle547  Год назад +1

      It’s pretty wet but not dripping everywhere. My shirt is soaked because my wet hair has been sitting on it throughout the styling process. I have a lot of hair and it takes a long time to dry on its own. How wet one’s hair needs to be during styling is different per person. But wetter styling generally means less frizz and more definition. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

    Just curious why don’t you just put the hair in the diffuser bowl an lift feather than picking up with your hand?

    • @toriw.5220

      From the beginning I mean. 🤗

      Putting it into the bowl right away before the curls can form naturally can cause them to become a bit distorted from being jammed into the bowl. When I, lifting with my hands, I’m only slightly pushing up to keep the, from being so heavy but I’m not bringing it all the way up to my head or smooshing them so they take on a different shape. I’m just allowing them to set as they naturally form first. Then when I put them in the bowl, they aren’t really going to become distorted. Hopefully I explained in a way that makes sense? Thank you for watching!

    • @CurlyChelle547

      @@toriw.5220 The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is the Evolvh leave in conditioners and the Curlsmith Miracle Shield. I’ve tried the Evolvh ones and they’re really good but I haven’t tried the Curlsmith.
