Omg her last video I literally asked her to do this
Most definitely
Ikr finally 🥰
Happy texture Tuesday everyone!!!
Happy texture Tuesday to you as well 🥳
Happy texture Tuesday!! We love you too Amanda!! 💕
Happy texture Tuesday Amanda!
Thanks! Hey--have y'all thought about setting up an Amazon shop thingie? It's for influencers and basically lets you set up a page with categories and links of products and then you get an affiliate thing if I recall correctly. But it would be helpful for those of use looking for product recs from past videos. 🙂
The double cleanse method changed the game for me. Thank you for sharing this realization that it can also be applied to the scalp!!!! Genius sees 🤯
@amandaguido hi there! Do you have low porosity hair?? I don’t know if you could do a post or maybe a story on ig regarding how much product you use!
Hello, do you use shampoo (with sulphates) after using oil?
Hi Amanda and Melissa!! I just want to thank you ladies sooo much. Mel especially you have really transformed my hair its wild, your tips and videos are beyond amazing and informative on how to care for my curly hair. I just went for a cut and color-Following your ideas from your videos regarding cutting hair for your face type and the other on coloring hair. I am soo pleased with my results after styling, my curls are so much better because of you!! And Amanda for showing us that even the non professionals can do it!!! You both are great 👍🏼 I am so glad I found this channel. Keep up the great work you both deserve everything and more! ❤️❤️❤️
I need to ask which products Mell used to style her hair for this video because those curls were the best I've ever seen them!!!! Thank you Mell and Amanda for all your amazing content!
Yes that's the oil scalp treatment which is basically rubbing in an oil on your scalp, massaging your scalp then letting it sit for a few minutes and washing it with shampoo. This has been around for awhile but I'm glad you learned about it and can apply it to your monthly routine 🥳🥳.
Since watching your videos, it’s the FIRST time I have EVER had my curly hair last over 2 days!! I’m on day 5 now so it’s washday but my hair is still not in a bun and it looks GREAT. IM SO HAPPY
Music to my ears I LOVE to hear it!! Thanks for sharing & for watching! Happy Texture Tuesday❤️❤️
Any advice for us curlies who have to tie up their hair every day for work?
I can't do gentle styles as it's a safety issue, I work with aggressive clients who like to *grab* hair, so I basically spend five days a week with my hair scraped into a tight bun.
I'm trying to embrace my natural hair, but it's a lot of work to style it curly for the sake of one or two days, only to then ruin all that effort by shoving it into a tight bun for the rest of the week.
@@patchouliodonovan9529 hey I’m not a professional, but I do have curly hair ➰! Perhaps using silk/ soft scrunchies to put you hair back. I am not sure if you can for your job, but maybe you could Dutch/French braid you hair.
Saame well I have gotten to 3 days which is amazing usually in 12 hours my hair would lose its curl I love you guys!!
lets all just take a moment to appreciate mell's eyeshadow today 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 (and hair too ofc)
Hi Mel as someone with eczema on the scalp, as well as dry hair - I can get a lot of itchiness and dryness. Instead of buying a fancy scalp scrub I use half and half fragrance free conditioner and table sugar combo to exfoliate prior to shampooing. I do it once every two weeks. The sugar melts in the wet hair and it rinses out easily, but not before giving me a gentle scalp scrub. Sugar is in of itself a humectant which is moisturising to the scalp, the conditioner also gives slip and the shampoo rinses away any residue. i condition as normal afterwards. I do use a scalp moisturiser in between washing to stop any flaking/itching and irritation. For those who want a more intense exfoliation then a premade scrub may be the way to go, but this is enough for what is fairly delicate skin on my eczema prone scalp. I use a clarifying shampoo once a month, for any buildup on my hair itself and obviously deep condition afterwards. Best wishes.
I typically use castor oil as a pre-poo. Do you think I would be able to add the sugar to that?
@@jesspavlichenko5745 Maybe mix some up just before washing, having already had the oil in as a pre poo. I think you need the water to melt the sugar, but mixing it with an oil to apply should be ok. I haven't tried it that way, but we use sugar in oil scrubs on the body - so why not? You can let me know if it works. I like the conditioner as it gives me slip when rinsing, but the oil should be fine. As long as you're shampooing it out, then it will dissolve with the warm water anyway and work fine. Conditioner has an oil and water mix and my scalp is both dry and dehydrated - that's my reasoning behind the conditioner use. i hope that helps.x
@@jesspavlichenko5745 Probably? You can mix sugar with an oil or even Vaseline and use it as a lip scrub (works great for winter chapping!) or you can take a cleansing oil for your face and mix it with sugar for a facial exfoliant, so I don't know why you couldn't use the castor oil mixed with sugar.
@@lorainemcgillivray77 Thanks! I'll let you know when I try it
@@arkikali5632 I truthfully had no idea! Im looking at my bag of sugar differently now 🤔
Your hair looks so good with this darker colour, every video I'm like :O It's so shiny and the different tones seem to help with definition!
I needed this video so bad! I have been watching Amanda, since she does talk about her dry scalp and how she takes care of it. So this video is life! Thank you ladies ❤️ I can now take care of my scalp even better by understanding it more.
I have literally been going crazy with how itchy my scalp has been. Really hoping these products will help! Thanks Mel!
Mell you’re a lifesaver. It’s unbelievable how I have an issue and then you upload a video
I have a ton of dry scaly patches along my crown, I'm going to a dermatologist to try to fix it but I feel that my curly hair routine can help with it.. Thank you for making this video! You're a saint for us curly girls who are so lost
Yes to the scalp care videos!! My scalp has been really dry and itchy lately.. Thank you so much for all the amazing videos every time😍👏🏻. Love from the Netherlands❤❤
I’ve struggled with itchy dry scalp and greasy roots for a long time and I noticed that the hair products weren’t enough. Thanks for this
I massage my scalp with a scalp massager everyday and I feel like it's helping me get rid of any flakes and stimulate my hair follicles but most importantly it feels really good too!
I cannot tell you how helpful you are, im so glad i found your channel!!
Sort of new here (2 weeks but have binge watched all your videos) and I loved this! Thank you for all you do. Until I found this channel, I did not realize I had such bouncy curls and had kind of given up on my hair ever looking healthy. Seriously a game changer, so relatable and fun to watch!

I really needed this vid thank you
Thank you maam! My scalp has been needing some help lately!
I don't have curly hair but I genuinely love your videos and i really needed a video for scalp tips tysm :)
Great video ❣ I usually use the juice of a lemon to cleanse my scalp and hair from product /grease build up. It's probably not great for my hair but it's been working for me since I was a teenager (I've never dyed my hair so I wouldn't have a clue what lemon would do to it 😕)
I needed this video!!my scalp has not been doing well!! Love your vids!!❤️
Buildup could be your problem!! Especially if you have curly hair this is very common but I hope this helps!! ❤️
I needed it tooo thank u so much mell

Thank you so much for all your very helpful hair advice. I have learned so much from you. I would love to see a video about how to get thicker hair (if that’s even possible).
I looooove your colour here! I have been watching all of your older videos where your blonde is much more blonde... this look is soo pretty
Thanks for this! Can you tell me your recommendations about how many times I should wash my scalp if I workout every day and my scalp is a normal one, sometimes it tends to go oily but never too much. Thanks Mel 💕
Thanks mell! Super helpful video 💖 I have combination scalp and what helped me was flaxseed gel mixed with organic neem oil ... I exfoliate my scalp with it 2-3 hours before I wash my hair. It did wonders ... maybe you’ll try it one day:)!
Great information as usual. 😀 loved your make up it matched your sweater
Love how the eye shadow and your top matched.. would you recommend treating eyebrows similar how you treat hair..
The outtakes at the end dare my favorite.
Omg this video came in such a perfect time for me 😭🙌🏽
Yes please, more health care videos
Girl your amazing. Good job
I double cleanse my face, and also my scalp. I’m blessed with a “normal” scalp. Always love the product recommendations. Btw, your eye make up is 🔥! Would love some of your looks, make up and hair.
I agree! I would love if she made some make up tutorials or GRWM. Her makeup always looks so beautiful yet simple 😍
Early I love your videos so much thanks for the help ❤️❤️

I do, I always listen to you and your needs. I’m so glad I could help thank you ❤️
I love you so much Mell and all of your videos are so informative. My hair is wavy and doesn’t hold the waves even for few hours after washing. I wish I could come all the way from India to your salon to learn from you 😞
Can you do a video on lightweight product recommendations for really long, thick hair? I feel like I can never find a balance with good products to hold my curls without other products that won’t weigh my hair down and stretch out my curls😩 (P.S. love your videos, they have made a world of difference in my hair! My curly hair journey went leaps and bounds after I started incorporating your tips and tricks!)
I don’t know what’s been going on with my curls lately :( this video came at a perfect time
girl I know this is a hair video but your MAKEUP i mean!! stunning!
Hey Mel I’m relatively new to the channel and really appreciate how your your vids have helped me with my waves. I’m really feeling this scalp Heath video and bringing awareness to this subject. I can’t speak on behalf of all the men who watch your videos but was wondering if you could offer any advice to prevent male alopecia?
I have recently had some hair loss and went to the doctor for it...guess what the culprit was... scalp health!!! It’s so important!!
No doubt!! I’m glad you’re getting it under control ❤️❤️
Can you tell me what they suggested? I made an appointment for the dermatologist but they're so busy it's a month from now 😥
@@curlygurlxo I’m using a dandruff shampoo with keyskonazole every other wash day and it is helping!
I HAVE A QUESTION!!!
What do I do about breakage? I have virgin hair and in the shower when I’m combing through my conditioner I notice both long strands of hair and little pieces (about an inch to two inches) on my bathtub floor. Why is this happening? 😫
Thank you Mel and Amanda for bringing so many helpful tips to us curly/wavy viewers ☺️❤️
HI MELL!! I’m early and taking a math test! But I had to come by to say Happy Texture Tuesday!!! Gotta get back to my test!! I’ll be sure watch the vid later but I know it’s already helpful to my curls 😫😂💗!!!
Awesome thank you so much for this video
What about Fine, Dense, Curly Hair? I have to wet my hair everyday, no matter what I do! Thank You Mel! You got me Loving my Curly Hair, for a Man! I'm letting it grow OUT, and I would love to know what you recommend ❣️❤️❤️❤️
could you do a video on dermarolling on curly hair?❤️
Your hair looks bomb! ❤
Hi Mel, I’m learning so much from your videos! I’m almost 30 and I’ve been combing my curls while it’s dry my entire life 🤯 😳.
Anyways, I just started buying a few products to get started with my now new routine. I was wondering if you would recommend or advise against aloe vera as a pre-shampoo for dry scalp?
Yyyyaaassss!!!! Thank you! 🙌🙌🙌
I feel like her product recommendations have gotten really expensive lately
Curly hair products are expensive
Well this video is sponsored by Sephora so the recs are going to be expensive. Idk why she didn't properly disclose the sponsor, but she did tag it as ad.
Love the video! It was really helpful for me as someone who wants to better take care of her hair!
Also what is your opinion on products from function of beauty? Would you recommend this for curly hair?
Hi Mell, I love your videos, just wondering if you could do a video about how you do your hair before during and after the beach/swimming if possible? Thankyou 🥰
Great question
