This may have been the best RC instructional video I’ve ever watched. Very thorough and gets right to the point. I was on the fence about updating my burned-out ESC to VXL, along with a motor upgrade, and this made it look very easy. Nicely done!
For brushless power in a crawler, get a sensored system. Sensored motor and sensored ESC. I put a Castle MMX ESC and a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro sensored motor in my TRX-4. Much more power capacity. Also, it performs way better at slow speed than a Traxxas velinion could ever dream of doing.
Hi, just done this, when i plugged it in, green light came straight on. now reverse is forward and forward is reverse? also what holes do i use for a 11 tooth?
I'm thinking about putting motor and esc out of a losi 22s f100 into my high trail f150 it's a 6500 k spectrum motor and esc. Idk what happened to the stock electronics after the first time I ran this expensive to me rc truck though a flooded cut down it stopped working.water was only over the hood But it hasn't worked since.do you think it would work,?
It should work but will you will have to use the Losi remote. That motor is built for speed with a low torque rating. It will get you going again. Check the battery on the traxxas as it may have shorted, the rest should be fine.
Very accurate, you can set the braking level either through the remote or on the esc itself as it has a few custom configurations. I kept the 10t pinion gear from the long arm lift kit and it keeps the top speed down while providing excellent torque.

Glad it was helpful!
Very cool upgrade!! Can’t wait to see what else you do to it. Great job!! 👍🏻
Thank you.
Do you have an OF?
This is a fun upgrade to the TRX-4 Blazer, gives more power and torque! Let me know if you have any questions regarding this upgrade.
did you chage the steering servo. Or stay with the 2750x
This channel is cool as hell, I love rc and gaming
Excellent instructions

The trx4 isn't meant to be a crawler though. It's a trail truck

Is this the 3500 ? Was looking at the same setup for my k10 high trail.
How many kv is the motor you put in
3500kv
how fast does it now go?
Cool , but how is the slow speed driving ?

@@TheFixTech I didn’t realize the velineon had that much tunabilty. Your rig looks like it just came out of the box, very nice 👍
Lol no it doesn’t. They are horrible for slow speed and very little torque. 😂
How so many people love Traxxas cheap plastic is the question i always ask myself.
i think its because they like how it flexs and bends but idk
Just buy the hobbywing fusion pro. Much better system.
Why do guys use power drills on these little tiny screws? Makes no sense 😂
Saves a lot of time
