The Aqueduct sees EarthQuaker Devices dedicate themselves fully to the world of vibrato with an intuitive and compact pedal that serves up no less than 8 different vibrato modes. From subtle sine waves to wild square waves, random vibrato and all the way to 3 highly unique envelope modes that alter the vibrato based on your string attack, the Aqueduct is set to be a veritable one-stop vibrato shop.

Hey man, I don’t think I’ve ever commented on RUclips before but I want to say that you know how to create music for the pedal, how to find the musicality in the machine, and so few out there know how to make these boxes shine like you do. Wasn’t very interested in this pedal but you made such sweet music with it. When a company puts out something unique, I come to Pedal Zone for a real demonstration of its capabilities. Thank you, keep up the good work, shine bright.

Agreed, people like PedalZone, Pete Thorn, Andy from Reverb really take the time to get to know the pedal versus just turning it on and turning some knobs as their demos. Keep up the good work!
But not even Andy and Pete come close to this warmth and wondefulness in your creations, Stefan. Sometimes it's hard to decide between pedals that will be great on my board and with my not-that-good playing and which pedals only you can let shine that way with your deep and musical genius. :D
So so so so so wonderful to see a demo that isn't the same rehashed blues riffs played over and over. I'm sold on this pedal simply because I know what it will do with the type of music I actually listen to ... like MBV!

This is my favourite pedal demo ever. I keep coming back to it. Couldn't justify the purchase before, but I think I can now.
The part starting from 6:34 is simply amazing, worth to become a song or even to start an album.
I got the Aqueduct because of you and still hunt for the FMG, that thing is so hard to obtain.
After watching this demo, I was sold, got my own Aqueduct and I love it. Using it for creative recording stuff.

what a pleasant surprise to wake up to. i thought EQD would make something like this for awhile. i mean, a chorusy vibrato lofi junkie kinda thing. couldnt have guessed all the waveforms theyd utilize but i guess thats what earthquakers all about. taking old stuff but making its own in ways you wouldnt guess. good stuff as usual stefan

Mine is all eqd except for my compressor right now and I love it. Erupter, palisades, aquaduct, night wire, space spiral and afterneath in that order.

I forgot I was watching a demo video. That was beautiful, Stefan. That being said, yes, the "MBV setting" kills, especially with the capabilities of the Flexi-Switch!
Thank you very much! And yes, the flexi-switch is great with Env P mode. Lets you create timed and precise whammy-bar bends without having one equipped on your guitar. Really cool! ☺
I usually have to use a Digitech Whammy set to a 2nd down for those gazey glides (on guitars w/o whammy/trem bar), this could definitely free up some real estate or other possibilities of the Whammy, though!

I love vibrato and have to say this pedal goes above and beyond on the subject. Been exploring it for a month and there is so much more to tweak out of it ... and you did a great job here of zeroing in on some of the highlights.

Not a big vibrato fan but that was a well executed demo! The Envelope Pitch Mode was my fav by far there. The combo with Dispatch Master and Fuzz Master General was really cool! Once again, good job!

I saw the “the big one is coming” teaser add for this pedal, and immediately thought can’t wait to hear Stefan’s demo of whatever this pedal is. To find out it’s a do it all vibrato has me stoked. I just got a Shallow Water and have had a Diamond Vibrato for some time. Too many nostalgia inducing pedals can’t be a bad thing right?

currently, it's the only pedal I sold and then bought again. it's pretty cheap and has a lot of unique moody sounds in it. also, it can easily be an always-on pedal with minimum settings using envelope modes. random is not that random to my taste due to a steady LFO, but oh well, many vibrato pedals don't have random at all. truly underhyped gem.

I actually bought this pedal a few years ago to use as a Chorus pedal (hey, it's blue, isn't it?). The Env P mode is one of my favorite effects ever, THE BENDS ARE SO RAD, OPEN CHORDS ARE LIKE MAGIC.
ENV P is definitely something special. This pedal is really underrated. I use it constantly.

Wow!!! I genuinely wasn't expecting too much from this pedal when I heard it being talked about. I mean it's just another vibrato pedal, there's tons of them kicking about, and once you've heard one you've heard them all... right? WRONG! I was genuinely blown away by this demo, this pedal sounds incredible, your choice of tunes and licks showcased this pedals capabilities perfectly. I can see this little vibrato as being one of those effects that makes a big dent on the music scene over the next year or so and majorly influences the sound of a lot of bands. Incredible! And you certainly did it justice sir. 👍 Either that or I'm just so tired that I'm in an ethereal state between sleep and wake, where everything sounds transcendental.

Cool pedal! I'm usually not that big into vibrato pedals, but this one has enough options that I'd probably find at least a couple uses for it. That's the thing about EQD pedals: most take a simple pedal idea, and go way beyond what most people are used to (e.g. a flanger that is also an arpeggiator, a modulated reverb with a resonant filter, a synth pedal that also doubles as a killer fuzz). This one is no exception. The fact that it has a "shoegaze mode" is pretty unexpected. Overall, very impressed.

I think I just need to buy the whole EQD catalog. There's not a pedal that they've put out that I haven't liked. I especially loved your demo with the synth. A lot of Boards of Canada vibes with the vibrato!

The EarthQuaker Devices Aqueduct Vibrato sounds fantastic and inspires with all those waveform and envelope possibilities that set it apart from any other vibrato pedal I know. Next level.
Now, I almost feel like getting the Aqueduct right away - however…
@EarthQuakerDevices: Why is there no Mix knob on it, which - by way of adding some amount of the dry instrument signal to the fx - would allow all those incredible vibrato variations to also morph seamlessly into exciting chorus sounds?

Thank you! Very kind of you. Regarding the mix knob, the reason is that EQD wanted to create a dedicated Vibrato since they already have chorus pedals in their lineups. Envelope Pitch Mode blends in a tad of dry signal on some of the settings though, so that can give you dynamic chorus and flanger tones, if you want. If you want to use this pedal as a chorus though, then there is a workaround. You can place it in the loop of a parallel signal blender, like the OBNE Signal Blender or Boss LS-2, and that will give you a clean blendable signal path, alongside the Aqueduct, effectively turning it into a Chorus. I actually show that in my full demo of the OBNE Signal Blender, if you want to hear it in action :)

Don't know if I'll get time to demo it. Have a very full demo schedule for the rest of the year. But trust me, you can't go wrong with it. It'll fit any style from ambient to classic rock ☺

If you remember: did you went straight from the MicroKORG into the Afterneath, or had to go through a reamp box first? Since maybe the line level of the Korg would be too much for the Afterneath?
