- This is a promotional video of the Carnival Triumph which was the second ship in Carnival's Destiny class. The Carnival Triumph was launched in 1999 and when she debuted she was considered to be one of the largest cruise ships in the world. Following a substantial renovation in 2019, Carnival changed her name to Carnival Sunrise.
I had the pleasure of sailing on this ship when she was still the Carnival Triumph. She was beautiful and a lot of fun. I especially loved her style. I like how Kathy says that the ship is designed to pay tribute the world. That aesthetic really made her grand. It is interesting compared to modern Carnival ships. They seem to be made purely for style (almost the exact same style, in fact). It’s pleasant. Older ships like the Triumph, however, seem like works of art, each with its own unique style and personality.

This ship may be the same one involved with the "Poop Cruise", but overall, she's doing better now!

We were just on the Sunrise for the sailabration cruise. Loved the ship, wish we would have been on her when she was the Triumph. Thanks for posting these promo videos! Do you know where they were they were originally shown? We figured maybe they were for travel agent offices, but seeing the blurb at the end about contacting any travel agent makes me think that may not be correct.
Thank you for watching! These videos were provided by the cruises lines, free of charge, mainly to travel agents. I believe they were available to the public for a fee. Travel agents would loan them to clients and also show them in the agency playing on a loop all day. Back then, the agency I used to work for did just that and I memorized many of these videos! The blurb at the end to contact any travel agents was common on all cruise line print and video material as back then direct booking was rare and for some lines not even an option. Travel agents were the only way, in some instances, to book a cruise. I was and currently am a travel agent. I collected these videos over the years. Many travel agency owners I worked for were throwing them away and I saved them. Glad I did!
