Man, I enjoy puzzles myself, but hearing that ALL testers had to use ALL hint doors is like, the biggest red flag you can get for readability of the puzzles
real though, if everybody needs the hint to complete the puzzle, the information provided in the hint should just be presented as part of the puzzle, or should be really easy to figure out, but would it truly be a henzoid map if the puzzles were genuinely readable and had clear objectives?
Yeah, these puzzles are hard partly because they are poorly designed. When stuck on a puzzle it should be because you understand the rules and have no idea how to apply them. If you are stuck because you don't understand the rules, then it's a problem with the puzzle design.
Not sure if you take requests, but you should totally play the map Confusing Cubes 3. It’s really fun and challenging, and you played the first one a while back.
henzoid is certainly a very talented map maker and has some great puzzles - though I will say this one seemed to be a bit... obtuse. If testers had to use hint doors that's a good indicator that the puzzle is not communicating with the players very well. And after watching, yeah some of the puzzles have so much extra stuff that just obscures the purpose of the puzzle to a point where it takes more tedium over logic to solve... The boot color one for instance could have been just as good with only a chest of boots and another with dyes.
The amount of time it took Jordan to figure out that the drink he originally thought the girl should have (the spicy cold one but with no alcohol) was actually what she was supposed to have because she was the daughter that was under the drinking age had me literally SCREAMING at my screen 😂💀
But when you know how to solve a puzzle, it will take a minut to resolve it later. With the drinks, you write down how much and what makes what, so you can just make all drinks in a minute and place them in 30 seconds,
For the guy who wanted the soda.....it's probably like a multiple choice test where yoiu just have the pick the best option (even if no single answer works 100%). So probably pick the one with as little alcohol as possible -- it doesn't look like any of the recipes are alcohol-free. Though the **flame vortex** and **Piano Colada** doesn't have any Karg (alcohol)
Why is it that you always panic whenever you're faced with any amount of text? I believe you'll find these puzzles get a lot easier if you slow down and take the time to read.
Yeah, in the bartender section, (specifically, the guy who asked for a soda) it was quite annoying having read the instructions and figured out that he needed to look for one without the Karg ingredient, as it was the only ingredient described as alcoholic. Jordan really doesn't read the instructions thoroughly enough. He's also generally really bad at puzzle maps, which makes watching him play them really painful, because I'm decent enough at them.
@@pde8444 No. They are referring to the old saying that implies that a hangover is cured if you drink more alcohol the next morning. That does not cure a hangover but might help cover up the symptoms. A hangover is caused by a series of alcohol related effects on your body including, but not limited to, dehydration.
@@lolsalad52 not every puzzle is designed with the goal made apparent. Part of the puzzle is figuring out how to start, and how it's supposed to end. That's why there are things like red herrings. Not every puzzle holds your hand along the way.
I kind of want to see what would happen if he tried Understand, or The Witness. On the other hand, I think I would end up so frustrated with the result that I wouldn't be able to finish the video. Anyone else get that sense?
The thing about Understand and the Witness is they tell you what is wrong about the line you drew. In this map, it's either right or wrong and there is no feedback
21:38 **Flame vortex** -- you generally don't fix a hangover with more alcohol -- so it sound like it is non-alcoholic. A hangover is basically a side-effect of alcohol withdrawal -- so, in theory, such withdrawal (**while not recommended**) can be addressed with a moderate amount of alcohol to lessen the effects (the goal would be to slowly tapper-off).
Not exactly. A hangover is complicated with multiple causes. Mostly it is a combination of dehydration, alcohol metabolism by products, and the brain being overstimulated after the CNS depression effects of the alcohol have cleared. That last one can be helped with small amount of alcohol ingestion, dehydration can be mitigated by adequate water intake (you will have to keep drinking water while you sleep off the alcohol as well). The byproducts can't really be done much with other than wait, though depending on if you had already cleared all alcohol from your system or not, ingesting more alcohol may slow down production of the byproducts (because the alcohol if present is preferentially metabolized over the aldehydes.) which can help mitigate their effects.
Admititdly, during the bartending got a little lost. But really, all the puzzles seem like they would be fairly straightforward, IF you actually take time to read the directions, instead of running off half cocked.
This is just a straight up badly made map. Puzzles should be hard, but there should be a more direct way of telling you what to do. All the testers using all the hints is a clear indicator that the map is too hard, and likely unfun.
Wait so puzzles should be hard but you want them to tell you exactly what to do. Make up your mind on what you want first before you shit on a map cause you can’t handle a challenge. It’s meant to be trial and error hence the reset buttons if you mess up.
Nope. this isn't it. having your chat solve the puzzles for you is somehow worse than you solving them yourself. slow down, read, stop relying on chat. would be much better without you constantly looking at twitch. terraria fell to the same fate early on.

I was going to play this myself but I can't resist the urge of Jardon playing a Henzoid map, especially a ten squared.
