I always thought NCT Dream is handsome with unique visuals. I knew Jaemin had to be a visual the first time I saw him. With Jeno he gives off almost the opposite vibes but is also really handsome especially looking at his side profile.
Mark has actually said he’s a bit shorter than 175cm, I’m impressed by how good his proportions are. He also looks a lot like Kim Soohyun.

When Jisung is wearing clothes that fit his body perfectly, you can clearly see his broad shoulders! Especially in the Arcade perfomances. The reason he seemed more rectangular It's because he was basically a kid/teenager during 2018-2020.

Ikr! Besides that, attractive is not always come from visual. For me it more of someone aura and charm, and SM artist usually give off a different aura then others (at least for me)

for me it's Haechan, because i love doll faces, but i sooo get what you mean, Mark has that masculine vibe mostly due to sharp cheekbones and jawline, but his big eyes are so doe like and innocent. They are all hot tbf ;p

Jaemin and Jeno are both visuals but give different vibes. Jeno has a strong visuals while Jaemin has soft visuals. Jaemin can be part of SM's deer line like Yoona w/c is one of SM's trademark. I mean if you see Jaemin in person you can't tell if he's pretty or he's handsome. I sometimes envy his long eyelashes deer eyes and pretty smile. And his face is smaller in person which I so envy T.T

Im super impressed by Mark's proportions , he has a tiny head which is very cute and a 90 degree shoulders that are to die for , and his inverted triangle shaped torso is just so gorgeous , he has really broad shoulders , and dont get me started on his eyes...those are bigass anime girl eyes he has with one double and one monolid , he is simply gorgeous !

There was a slight exposure of his waist at one moment in that fancam that captured many peoples attention bc of how small it is that he could literally pass as a girl lol. Hes gorgeous.

Yes please! They are my favourite group of all time and every time I showed them to someone the first comment of them was: "There is really no one in this group I don't find insanely attractive" XD Though I do love them the most for their chemistry, personality and their music (I think they are the most balanced group of SM as well as having the best songs) they do serve on the visuel side!

WayV is a part of NCT so technically they're a c-pop sub-unit under a k-pop group this also makes them k-pop idols technically, since they also promote in the group along the other members when they come together to promote as NCT as a whole

i think his head measurements are big because of the circumference (around his forehead), not the length (from top of his skull to his chin), so he can have a small face despite the head size.

Some points in the video are a bit misinformed/incorrect.
But nonetheless, thanks for making it. I just wanted to say that NCT Dream is really interesting in terms of visuals, as they've debuted at such a young age. SM didn't know exactly how they would grow up to look like, but I'm glad they seemingly didn't pressure the members into getting underage surgeries (which happens a lot in kpop!). They all practically look the same, they have just gotten more mature and masculine over the years but that's it. Members like Chenle or Haechan that don't necessarily fit the Korean beauty standard are well loved by fans and their natural beauty is embraced by the company as well as it seems.
I do however feel like they put a lot of pressure on Jeno to stay muscular and I also notice a lot of whitewashing in the group, which is a shame because almost all of them have a glowing tan to them! I wish south korea will get over this standard soon.
Agreed. Apart from this, I think they do try to be inclusive of the more tanner members like Jisung and Haechan (not fans because fans mostly photoshop and lighten the hell out of idols) but there's actually a lot of official videos even MV's where Haechan's skin tone is even highlighted as beautiful and he's wearing his actual skin tone make up, even in the animated videos of Pinkfong. The problem is the extremely pervasive and damaging tradition of colorism in asia and it will take decades or longer imo to change how asian societies think of a darker skin complexion, that's why sometimes you'll see stars slip and make a joke. As for Jeno: I think it was a conscious choice to start training because he was actually the smallest trainee in his age group, he once commented that he didn't gain weight even if he ate a lot so he started training/exercising more. Plus he's always been one of the most physical Dreamies, he loves to go biking (he's even known as the crazy bike guy among NCT lol), he loves challenges, he loves games which is paradox because he's also one of the more home-staying members, he's the only older NCT Dream member who doesn't have a personal sns (but apart from Mark the Dreamies seem to be all pretty reclusive). He also challenged himself to learn acrobatics so he could perform them on their first mini tour. He's in fact considered the lead dancer in Dream, that's why there's so many official videos of him with Jisung dancing and covering choreos. I don't think it's pressure but I agree that if people all around you compliment you on your body you will want to maintain that. As for this video: Jaemin and Jeno are the official visuals of the group according to korean media, they are always refered as such when there's media coverage of Dream on red carpets etc.
@@AlexBsSecret oh yes, Jaemin and Jeno are the visuals as well as the faces as the group for that matter. Jaemin is the center if I'm not mistaken.
And regarding the colorism issue, (which is ironic, since I wrote the comment before Jisung's slip up) as a tan east asian myself, I've struggled with my natural skin tone as well. I remember using whitening creams to change, but I've put that behind me and a big part of appreciating my skin was definitely Haechan! But I do feel like SM has done a lot of whitewashing, especially in the past. The MVs make that very clear. They've gotten better though, but members like Jaemin or Jisung are still heavily whitewashed while Haechan seemingly isn't. It's a bit weird. I've seen them live before and they're all quite tan except for Chenle. I just think SM wants to label Haechan as the "tan guy" in the group. And yes, fans play a HUGE role when it comes to that. I rarely see fans that aren't on one side of the extreme, either fetishizing his natural complexion or whitening it.
So all in all... The entire colorism problem needs to stop asap. But logically it'll take a very long time until we'll see the insensitive jokes and standards completely vanish.
And as for Jeno being pressured, I just feel like it's his only popular trait sometimes. Be it the fans or the company, it's hard to not feel pressured when everyone expects you to be ripped all the time.

@@myraclesname no problem. Great that you were able to stop, I feel like there's slowly a change about colorism in asia and an active debate in societies (the globalization and internet helped imo). As for Jeno, yeah, he seems to be in a constant difficult position imo, not the main dancer, not the main visual/face, not the main rapper, not the main lyricist (even though he's got a good amount of writing credits in NCT). And while he took over as the unofficial leader of the group for 2 years, when Mark came back even that role was gone. But he seems to be incredibly popular according to how many merch with his face gets sold and I've seen a lot of people admire his insane stage presence so I'm sure he's getting a lot of positive feedback and feels more than only 'the ripped guy' of the group ;)

The golden ratio is kinda off since some were bending and some were standing straight,some photographs makes them look tall and some short so yeah its off
And they were taken when Hyuck was 17, mark, jaemin, jeno, Renjun were 19. They have grown and matured more since then. Jaemin fits the golden ratio now (not sure of the others) so yeah it's a lil inaccurate

jisung and jaemin have high nose bridges but both are a tad wide so the point is very arguable
chenle doesn't have a small head
Mark's nose is tall and i wouldn't say its crooked down .u have given points to many idols with lower and wider nose bridges than him...his bandmate yuta is one example
jeno is quite a special case.. sometimes I don't even see his double eyelids...his face too is small breadth wise but jts pretty long...i feel like he's the kpop Visual with the least points if we are to deduct his face point meaning he's 50%..but contrary to his point he's one of the most attractive...he is just sooo unique...and remember guys no one needs these points to he considered handsome or pretty..its a mere evaluation

Jaemin’s nose is not wide tho. Jisung has a bit wide nose tho. Jaemin legit has the same nose as Yoona from Girls Generation who fits 100% and people even say they look alike. So Jaemin’s face fit 100% he just does not fit the height.

The picture you chose for haechan to check for the golden proportion was from 2017, he was 17 then, pretty sure he's grown taller since then. Even Renjun, Jeno and Jaemin's were 3 years ago when they were 19, mark's was from 4 years ago when he was 19. I suggest you use recent pictures to make it more accurate. In my opinion each of them is already a set of standards.. they are still young though and didn't fully reach their peak of visuals.. But since this video is focusing on kpop standard.. Opinion of everybody is highly accepted. anyways beauty standard is differs on the eye of the beholder. 💚💚💚
