Haechan passed the legendary Saturday Open Audition at the age of 13 is really a big accomplishment, like you passed not only in SM audition but also in Lee Soo Man high standard.
Yuta being a soccer player for 11 years, but then he saw TVXQ and got inspired by them to be an idol. He auditioned and passed the SM Global audition without prior experience of dancing and singing. He left Japan at the young age of 16 to pursue his dreams and persevered a lot as SM's first Japanese trainee and debuted as the first Japanese idol of SM too. Jisung's backstory once again shocked me lol. I thought he started liking dance bcs he watched another artists but actually his kindergarten teacher who suggested him to dance 😭 He must be so thankful now and teacher must be so proud of him 😭
I know XiaoJun's casting story is still a mystery since he hasn't told it yet, but I do think he was likely scouted after his appearance on X-Fire. I believe SM Entertainment was part of the production/collaboration of that show. So I think it's entirely possible they snatched him up after the conclusion of X-Fire. That's my theory.
I read somewhere that since SM partly produced the Xfire show, SM sent casting agents as part of the production team to see if there were any interesting contestants. The thing about it is the group that would be created by the winners of the Xfire show would not be signed to SM. A lot of those competition shows kinda already know who they want the finalists to be from the very beginning so.... But allegedly, the SM casting agents saw XJ and his potential even though he got cut from the competition. Honestly, I saw his perfornance and it was so good. Someone else said that they cast XJ on that show because of his father and his backstory. But then they kinda quickly cut him. I'm not sure how successful that group they created is. But SM made no mistakes with picking XJ.

I am soo proud of the older member who hasitately still chose to become singer after giving up top university and school. Especially to johhny who was even trained like 8 years and taeil who got accepted to one of the best science universities in Korea. That was a lot of sacrifice
imagine if yangyang never played in that basketball match, he would have never gotten hurt, therefore he’d probably never have that dream, we wouldn’t have yangyang if it was wasn’t for a basketball match lmao
The story I can relate so much is Taeil's. It's a hardest decision ever to choose between career or education! He is so brave to took that part and it must be hard because people around him, might the closest one must be worrying about his decision, as well as himself. I really appreciate how he so brave to choose to be an idol even though he know it's an uncertain path. He is really strong and now we only can wish he's happy with what he had 🤧
Our main vocalist (Taeil, Doyong) were noticed from singing competition as expected because they are so good at it! And our main visual (Taeyong, Jaehyun) was cast from the street like they were born with SM Face.
Knowing Yang Yang's story got me thinking of something I think he is also an idol in other dimension So he just matched the vibes of other him while he was under anesthesia
AAAA TAEIL’S CASTING STORY IS DEFINITELY TOUCHING. He knows that when he chose the university, he’s all set and ready to face the real world unlike training to become an idol, which you don’t know if you’ll debut. But him choosing to become a trainee is definitely a great choice coz i can’t imagine NCT without him 😭
Collecting these clips must be so hard, thank you for the effort in making this video. These boys never fail to inspire me to do my best everyday even though we're in a different field. I'll be forever thankful.
These are the kind of stories I could never get bored of. Imagine all the members gathered around a campfire and suddenly one of them saying "hey, let me tell you a funny story" and then becoming everyone's topic. I demand such content.
Actually, in 2010 Ten passed the YG audition too but didn’t become a trainee because his family thought he was too young. Otherwise, we would have Ten as in YG boy group.
the first one... seriously, can u imagine nct without taeil? that man is in the adlibs and background of EVERY song he is in. musically, he is the foundation of the vocals. such an incredibly talented singer
The number one factor for Ten’s success is that his family supported him 100%. They encouraged him to follow his dreams and that gave him the strength to take the risk to go on TV programs and ultimately leave for a new country to become an idol.
i feel like taeil was holding back when he said that he never had any regrets on being an idol and not going to university, because we all know how much he wanted to go to university and it must’ve been a hard decision for him to choose between an idol and university. and plus sm doesn’t appreciate taeil that much and i feel like he knows that, and he must’ve had a little regret for choosing sm entertainment over university.
I feel like after the debut he might have actually felt at ease because of the members but there's no way he never regretted it during his trainee time. He never knew if he was going to debut in the end and had to train all the time. There's just no way he'd never even think about what would have been
I think that he might have felt regret for a moment here and there, but truly regretting something is bigger(imo). If you decide to live your life looking at the future then it's hard to look back at your past decisions, to look at the places they've taken you, and say you wish things were different. Saying you don't regret is also a matter of looking out for your own mental health. What good does it do you to tear down the 'you' from the past? You took certain decisions without knowing what was going to happen. You did your best at the moment and that's that. Going to college didn't guarantee anything for him either, and he's doing his best building a career quite successfully.
Taeil is such brave boy. He knows what he wants . Plus you can see how determined he is. He has no regret choosing to be a singer. So proud of you Mr.Moon
I'm really glad taeil decided to became an idol, back in junior high school I was already an SM stan, when I first saw nct u debut taeil really catch my attention with his vocal and after I went to check their variety show his shy personality is so refreshing and cute to watch. Even after all this year he still my ub ✨✨ I love you so much taeillll 💚💚💚

WAIT, I've seen u somewhere sis-
@@lvehaerin yeah I was pretty active in Kpop related vids too. Most of them were SM contents tho. I seldom interact with other comsecs but I still do when I feel like it.
taeil left uni and chose to join sm is such a risky move but he's very determined with that. cos you'll never know if you ever debut, or even make it into kpop industry. the industry is highly saturated and competitive, but taeil believe in himself 🤧
I started crying when I saw mini Chenle singing. I didn't realize I was getting emotional at the beginning of this video, like all of them have really came so far. They've gone through a lot plus they deserve better. Thank you for making this video. ^^
Thank you for explaining! 💚
💚💚💚
Haechan passed the legendary Saturday Open Audition at the age of 13 is really a big accomplishment, like you passed not only in SM audition but also in Lee Soo Man high standard.
Yuta being a soccer player for 11 years, but then he saw TVXQ and got inspired by them to be an idol. He auditioned and passed the SM Global audition without prior experience of dancing and singing. He left Japan at the young age of 16 to pursue his dreams and persevered a lot as SM's first Japanese trainee and debuted as the first Japanese idol of SM too.
He's gone through a lot and I'm just proud of what he has reached now especially now that he's gaining recognition in his home country and is even listed as a part of NW Japan's 100 most respected Japanese in the world list (released on 2021),
Update he's also one of Forbes Japan "30 Under 30" for 2022!
Wow hats off to him
Am I the only one stuck on the fact that Yangyang, as a kid, casually flies from Germany to Taipei for an audition all because of a dream?
Thanks to his rich and supportive parents lol!
yangyang's story is literal destiny
The Yangyang case is just so Yangyang. Idk how else to explain it
no one:
sm staff: who that who that who that boiii.. walking alone on the street
a few years later haft of nct members: yeah, that how I got into sm.
sm staff to winwin: i will pursue you for months until you say yes
sm staff to taeyong: BREAD
Well the toast was bussin ig😂😂
Lucas: i am handsome so i don't need to do anything else
Winwin: i am cute so i dont need to do anything else
Ten: WheN i wAs 13 I hAd mY fiRsT loVe
Jaemin : I said no to them, now I got my ice cream 🍦
@@prapanthebachelorette6803 he'll always be the ice cream guy I swear
Yangyang: i see THE VISION
Not Ten's predebut clip 😂
Nothing tops yangyang's "I had a dream while I was in a coma (under anesthesia) then made it happen" just bc it really does feel like destiny but I do love that sweet, innocent bubu taeyong thinking mbc/kbs/sbs was trying to cast him by buying him toast everyday lol and omg winwin getting casted bc of how cute he was is the most winwin thing ever.
i'm crying fr because some of these stories are cases of such pure luck and it's like i'm so grateful everything's lined up the way it has so far, because i could not imagine nct without any one of these boys
Yass OT23(and counting😂) forever
I'm glad that Taeil is now happy with NCT ! It's nice that he doesn't have to be the "strong big brother" and can be cute and do weird things too !
I love how most of them have somewhat normal stories and then there’s Yangyang who was high af and had a fever dream
I wanted to thank taeil for everything he have done, he’s so precious…He’s so brave and so strong I can’t- why does peoples didn’t appreciate him well?! someone even say “taeil’s ugly” “taeil voice aren’t as good as ….” LIKE- wtf? Guys, please respect him too…Picking decisions between college and music entertainment is really hard!! You say you love them all right? Then treat him like you guys treat other members too…
Also about wayv, all of them really try hard on auditions…Some “nctzens” say they’re ot23 fans but didn’t support wayv, i only want you guys to appreciate them too…Let’s all stream all 4 units mvs okay? Support wayv too..Look at their mvs views, many “nctzens” making fun of their views cause it’s low…Many peoples like the only cause they’re funny, not because they appreciate them being an idol, they can be your mood booster..But please stream their mvs too! Let’s support all members like what they deserve!!
How dare they say that to taeil he is our moon
Wayv is family
True, SM literally chased Taeil to get him into their company
He definitely can sit on the same table with SM legendary vocalists like Superjunior KRY and EXO vocal line! He's that talented!!!!
Jisung's backstory once again shocked me lol. I thought he started liking dance bcs he watched another artists but actually his kindergarten teacher who suggested him to dance 😭
He must be so thankful now and teacher must be so proud of him 😭
other members: *always dreamt of becoming a idol since birth*
yangyang: *decided to become a idol while on drugs*
I know XiaoJun's casting story is still a mystery since he hasn't told it yet, but I do think he was likely scouted after his appearance on X-Fire. I believe SM Entertainment was part of the production/collaboration of that show. So I think it's entirely possible they snatched him up after the conclusion of X-Fire. That's my theory.
Yes.. i search it and i found that SM indeed collaborated in that show. They might see him have a potential and casted him after that..
That makes a lot of sense.
@@femmebrulee5053 the group they created is Xnine... But so far,, they are not active as a group anymore since 2018... All of the members are more active as solo artist now.. that company who supposed to manage them are shit!..
@@femmebrulee5053 ruclips.net/video/WQp72pkZtjk/видео.html about the topic with his dad…….For a person who kinda enjoys seing people suffer in movies(lmao I sound like a psycho, I mean I laugh when people are crying or something sad is coming up in movies) I got pretty emotional and was for a second about to cry. Maybe because he is the reason why I gained the confidence I have (could watch myself in the mirror for hours lmao) now and I value him as a man with his special characteristics. I hope he finds that out one day.
After you watch this video and consider the x fire thing in 2015, you‘ll be like ´´damn, we bout to watch performances of *NCT 2021* soon´´ and feel so nostalgic…..just sayin
I am soo proud of the older member who hasitately still chose to become singer after giving up top university and school. Especially to johhny who was even trained like 8 years and taeil who got accepted to one of the best science universities in Korea. That was a lot of sacrifice
WinWin already finished half year of university
Let’s all thank Jisung’s kindergarten teacher for recommending dancing. We get to see his talent today because he gained confidence because of that.
I'm here for this!! I have no idea how everyone got casted but all I know is that the agents looked shady ASF😭
imagine if yangyang never played in that basketball match, he would have never gotten hurt, therefore he’d probably never have that dream, we wouldn’t have yangyang if it was wasn’t for a basketball match lmao
Hendery is fulfilling his dream to become a comedian through WayV. Hahahaha
Taeil deserves more appreciation I mean he is amazing and I am crying
I can't imagine nct without Taeil. Imagine he really chose Uni instead especially when Hanyang University is one of the best uni in South Korea :)
Our main vocalist (Taeil, Doyong) were noticed from singing competition as expected because they are so good at it!
And our main visual (Taeyong, Jaehyun) was cast from the street like they were born with SM Face.
Couldn't agree more with whatever u said. PREACH.
Winwin too
The visuals really got street cast for a reason; Taeyong, Jaehyun, Jaemin, Hendery, Winwin.
I remember when i was starting to get into NCT last year, i had a soft spot for Mr. Suh bcoz he trained with exo😁
Yangyang,s story is so unique imagine dreaming of becoming a idol and than actually becoming one .
Knowing Yang Yang's story got me thinking of something
I think he is also an idol in other dimension
So he just matched the vibes of other him while he was under anesthesia
woooahh that makes sense actually
THIS IS THE BEST GUIDE FOR BABYZEN TOO, SINCE NCTZEN JOKE A LOT LOL
THANK YOU 💚💚💚
Aww you're a babyzen?🥺💚
An yes we are THE most chaotic, we've derived this from nct themselves
Me a babyzen uvu 💚
i just love the way how lucas got casted effortlessly because of his looks and confidence. indeed a great decision of sm entertainment.
Yangyang’s story is literally the most interesting one
i love all of their casting story, but yangyang's has the most "magical" plot
AAAA TAEIL’S CASTING STORY IS DEFINITELY TOUCHING. He knows that when he chose the university, he’s all set and ready to face the real world unlike training to become an idol, which you don’t know if you’ll debut. But him choosing to become a trainee is definitely a great choice coz i can’t imagine NCT without him 😭
I've rewatched this video for the nth time and Yangyang's story of joining SM is my favorite
I demand such content.
yangyang’s audition story is still the funniest thing
mark : talk in english-
jisung : oh reolly ? (cuz dont understand that) 😂
Ik when it was his turn to talk he was like "I understood almost nothing of what Mark hyung said" 😂
Sm street caster = Creepy aunty and uncle that follow and chase you on street
Based on Winter and Suho experience
then we have Sehun who literally started a mf marathon competition.
Lol yes
LOL TAEYONG REPRESENTS EVERY NEW KPOP FAN WHEN ASKED WHO ARE THE BIG 3-
When I first out into to kpop I was a army at first and thought Hybe was the only company at that time
@@Heloohiii lol😂
YangYang story is just iconic as him lol
Actually, in 2010 Ten passed the YG audition too but didn’t become a trainee because his family thought he was too young. Otherwise, we would have Ten as in YG boy group.
the first one... seriously, can u imagine nct without taeil? that man is in the adlibs and background of EVERY song he is in. musically, he is the foundation of the vocals. such an incredibly talented singer
"She even applied sunscreen on my face" got me laughing so much !
The number one factor for Ten’s success is that his family supported him 100%. They encouraged him to follow his dreams and that gave him the strength to take the risk to go on TV programs and ultimately leave for a new country to become an idol.
I really wish Taeil would be appreciated more, he's really talented, good looking and such an amazing person. I wish he'd get a chance to shine more :
i feel like taeil was holding back when he said that he never had any regrets on being an idol and not going to university, because we all know how much he wanted to go to university and it must’ve been a hard decision for him to choose between an idol and university. and plus sm doesn’t appreciate taeil that much and i feel like he knows that, and he must’ve had a little regret for choosing sm entertainment over university.
Going to college didn't guarantee anything for him either, and he's doing his best building a career quite successfully.
i personally think he had 'what ifs' on his mind. there's no assurance that he'll debut so it's impossible that he never had any doubts or regrets.
Yangyan's story was amazing and so particular..WOW
WayV members auditions/casting stories are interesting 🤣💙
Recalling back their stories all over again and feel so blessed that they choose to make it thru with every hardship that they've been going thru
Why is no one talking about how Ten's grandma is representing all of us and our future selves out there---💀👑
Taeil is such brave boy.
Even after all this year he still my ub ✨✨ I love you so much taeillll 💚💚💚
thank you sm for giving taeyong bread
Taeil's too underrated for the sacrifices he's made to join NCT
0:46 watching this now hits different 😢 He was living in his dream but lost all of it by himself being selfish
(I pray for the victims🙏)
Hendery: wanted to be a comedian
Why am I not surprised?
Taeil's story was really touching because he had to gave up his dream in the university gladly he choose SM because i think it was really meant for him.
