And when i said she invented the standard, she's INDEED THE STANDARD because back then knetz were amazed of yoona's visual right after their debut. Her popularity is remarkable to the point that she's the first female idol who hold center and fotg position. There's a reason why snsd is THE NATION GIRL GROUP and yoona is THE NATION CENTER😌✨

That’s not downgrading that’s just some fan who is attractive or focus on someone else in snsd. The visual and center is suppose to catch your attention and represent the group, they must’ve have found someone else in the group who could do that in their opinion.

Probably because Yoona's face belongs to the ideal type in Korea and that makes her face not so outstanding if you've already seen tons of korean idols and actress, while Sooyoung's face has that Western beauty in her with the shape of her face, height and her tan skin.

I thought the same but about Tiffany. I believed she was the visual and center of the group. When she smiles she looks like an angel for me. She's gorgeous and have this kind of "sunny and bright" personality, I love her, she was my first bias in kpop world.

Seems to be biased towards the visual members,I remember a similar description for aespa's Karina when this channel said that she had fair skin but SinB and Umji from GFriend didn't even though Karina's colour is much closer to the 'tan' Giselle and Ningning than fair Winter

Very fair is the colour of Yerin in GFriend for example and even Winter doesn't reach that colour,she is around Yuju/Eunha's colour and she is noticeably fair in aespa cause the other 3 are tanner . You can see Karina's tan undertone quite clearly already if you just see some photos of her on Google,however you don't see that with Winter for example. Karina is around the skin colour of Umji/SinB who are often very fair looking,but a definite drop in skin colour than say an Eunha or Yerin

@@royery Its probably to promote Yoona as the textbook visual for women. I learnt a lot of things from this channel about East asian standards( I'm an Indian and its very interesting to learn about other cultures) and body types. However,there are often many inconsistencies or just plain errors(like Yuju being called a natural by this channel even though she is a textbook dramatic),so I tend not to rely on this channel too much for conclusions

It would be interesting to see a comparison of kpop idols before and after their surgeries. SNSD is my ultimate group and I love them always, before and after, but we can't deny things like Jessica shaving off most of her jaw and Taeyeon's nose jobs. The pressure to fit the ideal must be intense. Since very few idols don't get surgeries, does anyone naturally fit the ideal?

Taeyeon has no high nose bridge. Yoona has not much curves. Yuri is actually pear-shaped. Sunny is 155cm tall. Tiffany and Hyoyeon may have low points, they're popular overseas especially in US and Europe because they're not the "usual" Korean beauty. Overall, what makes ALL OF THEM 100% admirable is their personality. They individually shine even promoting as a group. NGG forever
It’s so interesting because, for me, Seohyun is hands down the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my life but she is missing 20%. Yuri is another that I think is just stunning and she’s missing 30%. To me, these girls are 1000000%, but let’s be honest, all of GG is stunning.
