Thank you! I was getting a M1 helmet for my 11th birthday because I'm a World War 2 geek, this is helpful to try and find out how to get an Airborne netting on my helmet, and... thanks again!

I’m pretty young as well, got my first stahlhelm at 10 years old. I was so excited at the time, now that I’ve done a lot more research I’ve learned it’s a pretty bad repro to be honest.

@@Moonlight.Deadite lucky bastard! I've always wanted a Stahlhelm!! Preferably one with a Stirnpanzer that you'd see on the M16

I was grappling with my reproduction helmet and net and in 1 1/2 minutes, I was able to see how to do it. Definitely very helpful! Why RUclips is a great resource!

Works if haven’t got chin straps on the helmet , not sure what to do if it has

i have tried your method, but it's a very tight fit with the net and a can't push the liner to the top of the steel pot. So I have chose to put my liner inside the steel pot, and then, the liner wrapping both parts... Visually, that's not bad, but certainly not correct, historicaly speaking.

Taken the net off the mk2 British helmet now its on a 1943 Mk3 turtle helmet, the net can be fitted to any Allied or German helmet

So I am not familiar with this, I have a m35 stahlhelm and I really don't get this m1 helmet thing I am confused with the liner and the actual helmet itself

Lucid Dreams do the same with a ww2 British helmet but tie the drawstrings off, or just use one as the other draws the same as the sides, hope this helps

It kind of breaks the silhouette effect of the barebones helmet

    • @alexsacco776

Klimaxt to reduce glare when wet, and to hold burlap scrim, used as camouflage.
