@@dilluwengillpran8147 You just blew my mind. I completely forgot that was the narrative going around in 2019 after Joker pretty much silenced IT Chapter Two.
That would open the demand for other genres - detective, sci fi, fantasy, romance etc, it would be too crowded. I think horror suffers from a specific problem - the acting is generally about terrified people, so maybe that could be a nom for a specific performance in a horror movie, acting or directing, rather than a genre itself. Just like LOTR was nominated not because it was a fantasy, but because it was great directing, acting, script etc
I think of so many performances in films that blend elements of horror (Naomi Watts in Mulholland Drive comes to mind) but aren’t outright “horror” could be overlooked because it doesn’t necessarily fit into one category. The academy seems to believe that awarding a horror/thriller film or role every decade is enough to acknowledge the genre's impact on Hollywood. At the same time, I don’t believe that genre-specific categories such as the Golden Globes or Emmys do justice to more nuanced but deserving performances.

The fact of the matter is: As long as studios give audiences the quick digital option, the box office is just going to continue to look like this, only with further deteriorating results. If the theater isn’t the only place to watch the movie, more and more audiences will choose to watch that movie at home. Theaters can build arcades and bowling alleys, but the fact of the matter is still going to remain true. I'll be curious to see how Terrifier will hold up in the next weeks. I wonder if the audience for this kind of movie is big enough to sustain these kind of numbers. But maybe fans will go see it multiple times, apparently they seemed to have really liked it.
My only wish is that Todd Phillips never gets to work on a mainstream movie again. Why does Hollywood award failure with more opportunities? It's not fair.
He said he didn't want to go make a "Crown Prince of Crime Movie" so why didn't they take that seriously and get someone else? Those two new execs need to go; they were put in charge and the studio burned down. Bye-bye.
Saturday Night should have been made 20 years ago when boomers still went to the movies. I am a young X-er 43, and I dgaf. Nobody under 40 is gonna go watch it. They have no idea who those people were/are and they don't care.
I think My Hero didn't do as well because the manga ended on a rather divisive note. Lots of people were disappointed. I know it killed my partner's and my enthusiasm for it.
While the 81% drop is definitely scary, I am more worried about the Gigi comparison. That has to hirt to hear/find out as someone involved in the film. Gaga might want to talk to her team about any future acting gigs. Yikes!
Transformers One finally arrived in the UK this past weekend. Took my son, and we both enjoyed it. 25:02 I’m a huge Heartstopper fan, and while I think this season was by far the best of them all, it’s much more difficult to watch than the first two seasons, as it deals with some very serious issues. While it handles everything perfectly, I have yet to rewatch season 3 because of how much I cried on the first watch.
Grace did you see the reports that the problematic charges against Ezra Miller have been withdrawn by the alleged victim's father? Could his career be saved now? What do you think?
No. It is done in Hollywood. It should never work in Hollywood again. It never should have worked in Hollywood in the first place. It has no talent and it has a face for fast food.
Saw Saturday night twice this weekend. It’s my favorite movie of 2024 . There were like 12 people total in the theater. The movie is amazing if you have not seen it go out and see it this week it deserves the recognition should definitely win. Best picture at the Oscars.
I think the problem is marketing. I didn't know Piece by Piece, Saturday Night or The Apprentice even existed until this video, and I spend a lot of time on the internet lol
I was hoping that transformers one made more progress so that the transformers one guy on twitter who’s carrying the marketing on that movie could be happy.
I agree!! I predicted something very similar in a comment a couple weeks ago, with a 320-350M minutes viewership for the debut week with two episodes, then sadly possibly disappearing in the following weeks, when just one new episode is released
I consider The Nightmare Before Christmas one of my favorite films but I would have zero interest in a live action remake. Honestly, not that much interest in a stop motion sequel. The film has grown into a holiday institution over years. It doesn’t need a cash grab sequel like Christmas Story 2 or Joker 2 to weaken its IP.
I think the reason Heartstopper S3 didn’t debut so high like it’s previous seasons, may be that the audience it’s aimed at is growing up and not getting many newbies. I think instead of doing a season 4, they should do a Netflix Movie of “Solitaire” which was the novel that the “Heartstopper” comics were born from.

Hi Grace, the Apple TV integration with Amazon Prime sounds good to someone like me who doesn't own any apple devices. This will allow me to subscribe to Apple TV. Also, Mark Cuban is probably busy with his new Pharmaceutical company. Have a great rest of your Sunday!
I RAN to this video as soon as I saw the notification.
The intro. 😂😂
Terrefier is for me absolutely stunning and fun too watch ...
Wasn’t Kristen Bell the voiceover or narrator of Gossip Girl?
Yes
Bye-bye.
A nightmare before christmas 2 should be stop motion. No other routes should be explored.
I saw Joker 2 and Terrifier 3 in the same day yesterday and had a lot more fun at Terrifier
While the 81% drop is definitely scary, I am more worried about the Gigi comparison. That has to hirt to hear/find out as someone involved in the film. Gaga might want to talk to her team about any future acting gigs. Yikes!
This is very bad for joker 2 and DC but Todd Philips deserves it
@zekethewise7042 he's laughing all the way to the bank. Perhaps TP is the real Clown Prince of Crime, after all!
I took my teens to see the Wild Robot, and we had a great time. Can't wait to see it again.
You 15:39 can’t blame people for not going to the theater when everything is junk.
It's my birthday month. I have free pop and popcorn. It's like.... should I just see "Beetlejuice 2"?
@@vinnym5607 that’s probably what I’d see if I was getting free pop and popcorn.
18:51 I threw up in my mouth quite substantial amount actually 😂
1:10 that's a win
Transformers One finally arrived in the UK this past weekend. Took my son, and we both enjoyed it. Probably me more than my son, being an original fan from the beginning. It's a shame we didn't get a nod to the Vince dicola score from the original animated Transformers movie, even if it had been in the end credits.
A couple of minutes into this and graces spooky voice intro is making me lol 😂😂
1. Terrifier 3
2. Terrifier 2
3. Terrifier 1
My personal ranking of the series so far.
Maybe these studios will finally stop giving full creative control to these directors who hate their IPs. 🙄
I think it is already Strike 2 for the film division executives at WB
Yes I’m buying Wild Robot if the digital rumors are true. So I can force my whole family to watch it. Lol
you should watch Sweetpea the new tv series with Ella Purnell is amazing 😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Wow that's so generous of you, and VERY appreciated!
@@BeyondTheTrailerMartin brest was good director made some brilliant films it's a shame
Saw Saturday night twice this weekend. It’s my favorite movie of 2024 . There were like 12 people total in the theater. The movie is amazing if you have not seen it go out and see it this week it deserves the recognition should definitely win. Best picture at the Oscars.
A lot of movie goers are going to remember Todd’s FU to the fans when he unleashes another movie
but Rian Johnson was successful after Last Jedi
I think the problem is marketing. I didn't know Piece by Piece, Saturday Night or The Apprentice even existed until this video, and I spend a lot of time on the internet lol
I was hoping that transformers one made more progress so that the transformers one guy on twitter who’s carrying the marketing on that movie could be happy.
Im gonna predicting the Agatha numbers and its gonna be around 300 - 400 hours viewerships.
There was some kind of spoof of Jack finding tree-doors to other, less-famous holidays.
"Fans left the theater happy" after watching people torn to pieces in Terrifier 3 according to Grace 😆
🤣well “happy” I think depends on who you ask I think, those disgusted fans probably thought the film did its job well
The intro was🔥Grace!
