You've become my favorite watch channel on RUclips!
Although English is clearly not your mother tongue, you are articulate as few native speakers are, and knowledgeable in all things watches as well.
I own several watches, a diverse bunch that still evolves, not as much in numbers as it does in quality. My 8-1/4" wrist grace on occasions a Cartier Tank Louis, an Omega Professional Moon watch, a pre-V Panerai, a Rolex Cameron (126660), but also very pedestrian watches like a Seiko Flighty, a gigantic Zlatoust 191ChS, and a couple of special-to-me G-Shocks.
Which watch I wear depends on the occasion and the location. If I travel for a few weeks and want to take only one watch with me, it's most likely my G-Shock square, as that is a proper watch for every occasion but a formal event. If it's a business trip to Paris or Rome, I'd perhaps take a Rolex GMT, but if I vacation in Mexico, it's a G-Shock. As a retirement age Gringo I would not want to flash a Rolex on a Mexican farmers' market, the same way I would not want to wear a G-shock to a wedding, with the single exception of a G-D5000-9JR, which out-pateks even a Calatrava in its exclusivity.
There's a perfect watch in the perfect price point for the perfect occasion for everybody. Yet the fewer watches, the more it has to be a compromise. If I could only have one watch . . . well, let's not go there. But a trio of daily beater, nice daily, and dress watch would be no problem for me.
I've sold all of my Rolex except one, and that's going on the butcher block soon as well. I once was a big Rolex fan boy, but in recent years and with advanced age I've come to realize that I bought Rolex for the wrong reasons, to show status, and that's now not a part of my life anymore. On the contrary, for me Rolex now sends a message that has a negative connotation. The only Rolex I would love to own is a beat-to-hell 1675 with deep scars. Perhaps you can at some point dive into Grand Seiko and King Seiko.
    Keep up the good work!

I totally agree. The best watch is the one that gives you joy for a bunch of reasons...I have my prime watches that I love, but I really enjoy my homages, my Seiko watches and my Casio watches. All beautiful and well made...and they all give me joy!

The G-Shock GA-B2100C also has **automatic** daylight saving time adjustment.
The watch tells the correct local time the next day - I was surprised 🙂
I guess some of the other G-Shock watches also have this feature

I have the 126711chnr (most expensive watch I own) and 4 G-Shocks. It’s sad that I feel it’s too dangerous to wear my Rolex GMT when traveling. I always bring my Casioak (SKX mod) with FKM rubber when traveling.

I dont like wearing my Rolex in public places at all it kinda makes me want to sell it. I wear my GMW-B5000D-1 and SKX mod Casioak way more cause I'm not worried about breaking them doing sport/hobbies or getting them stolen.

I'd been thinking about getting the G-Shock GMW-B5000GD-4 for a while and this video finally convinced me to buy it. I've had it for 11 days now and I'm very happy with it, it looks even better in person. Thanks for your video.

Casio G-Shock DW-5600, and I have a habit of personally engraving
each one the day I get it. There have been many versions of the G-Shock
in the past twenty years, but this is the best. It’s got an alarm, and it’s still
    the best shape.
My dad has a fancy Swiss watch that he says he’s keeping to pass on
as an heirloom. He quotes the manufacturer’s ad: “You never actually
own a Patek Philippe. You merely take care of it for the next generation.”
We laugh about how the cliché advertising motto has come true. I’m sure
that watch might hold some meaning, but I like the idea of something that
costs $40 that you own, versus something that costs $4,000 that owns
    you.

Owning both models (Batman-2 on oyster, and Casio GMW-B5000TVA-1 “Titanium Virtual Armor”) I obviously like both. If I could own only one it would be the G-Shock. That might surprise you.

As a watch, a Casio in general is better than a Rolex. Rolex is no longer a watch in my opinion. Rolex is jewelry. There are too many under $100 watches that do the job much better in terms of being a watch.

I also own the GMW-B5000TVA-1. And I love it more than my ORIS Aquis. It is a touch of understatement.

Great video. It is much easier to tell the time at a glance, and at any angle, on the GMT Master II. Both are funky and cool. GMT Rootbeer passé? Far from it imho.

Hey my brother. You should try something on this video. Reconfigure the title to wear Rolex versus Casio is in the front.
Then put best travel watch in the back to grab some of the searches around best travel watches.
But this video should have way more views. It's a very creative. I think it just needs some more creative title.
When you see best travel watch title, its way down the feed and pretty lucky to click on it.
But when you realize it's Casio versus rolex, that's so crazy you just have to click on it LOL definition market that.

I agree with all comments below this video is super thought-provoking. I think about buying a gold G-Shock square for quite some time but cannot really decide which. On one hand rose gold looks indeed classy and I can get one for a very attractive price. On the other hand I am attracted to 40th Anniversary recrystallized GMW-B5000PG-9. It looks mesmerizing (IMHO), but the availability isn't the greatest, and the price is much higher.

They do look awesome though the re crystallized version will likely age badly .
Like the rock watch's trends of the 80's .
      A gimmick .

@@julienfroidevaux1143 In the end I did buy a golden recrystallized. I like a lot the way it looks and feels on my wrist. I disagree it's a gimmick - it is meant to be more hard-wearing thanks to the recrystallization itself, titanium carbide coating and proven robust IP coating with gold. But only time will tell.

This model does not have DLC coating. However IP gold on G shocks holds up very well. Only top tier G shocks have DLC (MRG etc...) anyways, G shocks rock. Way cooler than rolex

Bad analogy with car brands. I think Rolex would be the Jeep, because that vehicle depends exclusively on its brand to sell, however, in the technological section it falls far behind compared to true monsters in the automotive world. The G-shock is the latest generation in technology, capable of withstanding everything and being useful to the last consequences, without depriving itself of communicating exclusivity as Rolex does. G-shock could then be the BMW of watches. "The pleasure of driving."
