I talked to them about it and got the gig! did that for a while then eventually got my own place through talking and asking anyone I would meet if they had any apartment connections or how they found their place. Also searching Craigslist list crazy for room rentals and apartments.
I been wanting to move to LA to start school but everyone always kills it by telling me about how expensive it is and what not so it kind of kills my plans but after this video I feel more motivation to go
I think it’s worth it to come here for school but remember tuition will be a bit higher when you are coming in from a different area. I just finished school and a lot of my friends came from northern ca and other areas and rooms for students in my area are 500-800, very affordable!
I’m planning on moving *back* to la/California. Drove there a few years ago with $500 and a baby managed to get an apartment and stayed 2 years. Hope to return with a great plan and savings this time!! I Just have to wait about a longer! I will be flying this time and only taking our suitcases and starting fresh! I literally can’t wait. I dream of being back in LA every night. It’s my destiny lol. Family doesn’t want me to leave but that’s part of moving on.

Definitely apply to schools out in LA in fall of your senior year! And make sure to apply for fafsa at the same time and apply for dorms! Keep an eye out for scholarships as well, every penny will help!
How did you adjust from paying $800 to $1500 rent prices especially not having a job the first two years you were out there? Did you have financial help? Did you get a roommate? I have been watching videos like crazy about Los Angeles and idky im so drawn to move there when things are so expensive and crazy. I feel like I’m in for such a rude awakening being that I’m attracted to just the beach and nightlife but I’m also a quiet introverted guy who is not 100% comfortable in his skin. I know without a doubt, I would most likely hate it if I moved out there and the city would eat me up and spit me out and wouldn’t even get to go see the beach because of the traffic and having a social life would be an absolute joke trying to make new friends. Even living in a city where everyone is five minutes away people won’t come and see me. I can imagine being in a city where people live 6 miles away and it takes an hour. I know for time the prospect of relocating and starting again means so much to me. I currently live in a small city town and it was perfect for me but I realized I’m not the best version of myself and I don’t get the chance or opportunities to explore what makes me happy.
