About FFmpeg's tonemapping filter being very slow: FFmpeg has a “tonemap_opencl” filter that will run the tonemapping process on your GPU (if compatible). It tonemaps my UHD Blu-ray rips at about 45fps on my 1060 6GB. You can use it like this: “ffmpeg -init_hw_device opencl=: -filter_hw_device -i -filter_complex [0:V:0]format=p010le,hwupload,tonemap_opencl=format=nv12:tonemap=hable,hwdownload,format=nv12[out] -map [out] ” is just a label you assign to the device to keep track of it, doesn't really matter, I typically choose ‘gpu’. You can figure out which to use by running “ffmpeg -v verbose -init_hwdevice opencl”. Do note that the _tonemap_opencl_ filter only accepts inputs with the _p010le_ pixel format (which is a semi-planar version of YUV 4:2:0 10-bit) and can only output in either _p010le_ or _nv12_ - it also only accepts inputs using the _SMPTE 2084_ transfer function, so don't convert to linear gamma when using this.
When using this in PC free mode, capturing to SD card, the setting.txt file doesn't seem to have an option for colour space (limited or full RGB). Is this something you can toggle?
Thank you for making this. I'm super interested in streaming and especially on the Series X. I have boomer level familiarity with the process and absolutely no time to try to feel my way thru it, but now I feel like I got this.
I've been rocking a Live Gamer Ultra with my just below minimum spec laptop (Acer Nitro 5) so I would love to get my hands on this. Preferably after they fix some of the flaws. I would love to play at 4K HDR and record at 1080p with proper color scaling.
It is possible to "transplant" MP4 headers of a similar non-corrupted file. I don't remember the project name, but it's on github and open source. Someone here on YT made a video about it. (edit: 9:08)
I Brought 1 of these based on your review and am having some issues. Firstly how hot should this thing be getting? after a few minutes it feels hot enough to slow roast my hands, not hot enough to burn but hot enough not to want to hold it for more than a few seconds.

I just bought it for my channel just because of no CPU overloading, lol I liked your reviews especially about this device, U just gave us f... of details in this review, perfect, Keep it up my bro
For the HEVC h.265 compression only being available for direct to SD Card, bear in mind that Blackmagic's Ultrastudio Extreme units are Thunderbolt 3 connected to a PC/Mac, I know, as I own one. i.e. the BUE unit is £2,500 or so still.............so for this to be £354 and do what it does.............amazing.... My Elgato 4K60 S+ arrives...........today!!!
In the close ups (e.g. 40:27) it looked like there was some thin protective plastic on that record button, maybe that needs to be peeled off for it to work properly?
SO I believe in order for them to take this product to the next level would be for them to add an ethernet jack and allow us to send NDI to use for streaming direct from this little box. It is already capable of encoding 4k 60 this would be an entire solution to remove 2nd PC streaming setups, however it would need to be priced in such a way that a second PC wouldn't make sense over this product.
I have huge issues with my 4K60 S+. NES and SNES games going through the Framemeister will record the audio out of sync because of those odd refresh rates. The Elgato HD60 (non S) has no issue with this. OSSC does not work at all because the 4K60 S+ will not see the 960p of a 4x scale. How did you get it to work? Elgato has already replaced my 4K60 S+ once but I'm still having lots of issues. I only record to the SD card by the way, a Sony that states it can do 299MBps writes and has extra pins on it, oddly.
I've recorded NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 Pro, Wii, Sega, and Sega Saturn in Stand Alone Mode on an SD card. PS3 Gen on back to the NES all go through my XRGB Mini Framemeister right into the Elgato4k60S+ with no audio issues that you speak of. In fact, the Elgato 4k60S+ allows me to actually see the cut scenes in Terminator: Dawn Of Fate, which is something I couldn't do before when my Famemeister went directly to my TV. So there is an added bonus for me. lol. But I still like my HD60 (No S) better. lol
This looks so good but no 1440p and high refresh rate support is kinda odd. I wonder if its due to the encoder? I'd love for Elgato to release a newer model with 1440p/hfr support but hey at least it's out.
From what I can tell there are different kinds of HDMI capture chips, some of which only support standard video formats (which 1440p is not) and others which are more flexible, but more expensive.
You can’t capture lossless from this device. All video runs through the onboard H264 or H265 encoder as thoroughly explained in the video. Lossless 4k60 can’t even fit within USB 3.0 bandwidth
@@EposVox Ah that would explain it! Can you suggest a good a cheap capture card for 1080p lossless capture? It is literally just for framerate analysis on the Switch
I've got the Elgato 4K60 S+ but I'm having trouble with Audio. Whenever I take the SD card out and put it into my laptop the sound is not captured and sometimes I hear crackling. I'm not sure why this is now happening or how to fix it. If anything can help I would greatly appreciate it. All the videos I find online are on fixes when the Elgato is connected to your laptop and not using the SD feature that his Elgato allows.
I can't get the USB connection to work with this device. I have it plugged into the PC and it doesn't show up in OBS or in the Elgato software, the elgato software crashes immediately when I open it
trying to setup a dual PC streaming/recording station. Would you recommend this for recording/streaming to a laptop? Or do you know of any 4K60 capture cards which capture 4k60 instead of just doing passthrough
@@EposVox Hey dude I get terrible frame stuttering when using this device through OBS particularly when panning the camera in games. I've tried all sorts of setting tweaks on video capture device in OBS & even the ndi out option from the 4K capture utility does it. I'm using a one laptop setup. Any ideas what it could be?
Is there a way to tonemap SDR to HDR? I always only see HDR to SDR, but the reason I want to tonemap in reverse is because I actually want to record and upload HDR content, but I want to be able to use assets occasionally as well (picture popping up, text, etc.) and I want those assets to be in HDR and I don't know how to do that - it's impossible to even search for a solution to this because the results I get is people trying to tonemap HDR to SDR (search engines just don't want to keep the order in which I search, they just search for the keywords...)
@ Yes but I don't get the design of this unit, why not allow the USB outport able to just record from the device? Maybe that requires different software inside making it more expensive
I'm not sure I understand the question. You CAN record to a computer with the USB data port on this device. The primary point is to be able to record to SD card away from a computer, but you CAN use a computer, too
@@EposVox Interesting, I do own this device and I actually didn't know that the USB port on the back was for that, originally I purchased this unit back when I didn't own a PC but the SD card slot has seen a lot of use so I'm gonna start using the USB slot now
yea idk why they dont have a playback for the last 5 minutes, seems like such an easy option to have and they seem to be going backwards with not having that option
Ok I have a question about HDR to SDR tone mapping. If I use this card ONLY for video recording and NOT for streaming, should I really be concerned? I am not going to get the washed out imagine if I record SDR content like say, Framemeister or Switch? Is the lack of Tone Mapping only affect when you put the footage on OBS? I am sorry I just want some clarity before I spend $399.99.
Hi I need some help You see my pc is in my room and the PS4 is in the other room and I want a way which will make it so I can record gameplay and I can just plug it into my Pc and edit it from there Is that possible
I’m wondering if this will record gameplay on my Lenovo Legion 7 laptop? I’m having so many problems recording on OBS and Nvidia GeForce Experience with newer games, especially my current gameplay of Forza Horizon 5 😫 I’m really considering this 4K60 S+ to either record from my Windows directly to my MacBook Pro and edit, or straight onto an SD card and edit on either devices. It seems like a perfect device but the reviews I’m finding are really mixed and it’s a lot of money to spend if it isn’t going to work 😩 I have been considering upgrading my HD60 S+ for some time too as I’d like to invest in a PS5, so the 4K60 would be an ace upgrade for that
Would of been nice if you could tell people they would need an amp for the line in... also would of been nice to get context as to where the SD card settings are.
It accepts line in signal. if you're sending a line level signal, you don't need anything. Pretty sure everyone can open a single folder on the SD card to find the file. I showed it on-screen and everything.
@@EposVox I bought this as a stand alone device mainly for the consoles... how am I ment to get live mic audio commentary into the SD recording directly? There is nothing in the instructions about where the settings for standalone are and the closet I could find is in the HD Capture model software suit on the PC so I was looking in there. I just sent back the hauppauge hd pvr pro 60 4k back because the footage was terrible in terms of colour and contrast but at least it had a chat mixer built in. I was going to get the avermedia live gamer portable 2 plus but decided on this that supports HDR.
Hi, what is max bitrate for standalone recording? Also when i edit HDR movie from standalone recording on final cut is it works fine or i need a tonemapping LUTs?
I just got mine today. Haven’t had the chance to set it up yet but I’m kinda fearing buyer’s register already and I won’t be able to return it cause I got it off some guy on eBay for $325 literally a week before Elgato had it on sale on their website for $300 🤦🏽♂️. I do wish I’d done my research first just because the lack of 4K-120hz pass through. We’ll see how things go.
Does the HD 60s have tone mapping. I am just asking because I have one and it looks very nice so wanted to know how much different the colours will look with this capture card.
Thank you for the review! I want only to record 4k signal from my Nikon Z6 camera over HDMI with this device and stream with 1080p at the same time. Well is it too much to ask?? Use this Elgato 4K60 S+ as standalone 4k recorder doesnt work... if i just plug hdmi cable from my camera to Elgato 4K60 S+, it records only in 1080p and 60fps!, but my Nikon Z6 has output of 4k@30fps... very strange. Workaround to record 4k with chain: NikonZ6_4k@30pfs -> Elgato 4K60 S+ at HDMI in, at HDMI out -> Elgato capture Stick ->starting obs, select 3840x2160 will force to record Elgato 4K60 S+ in 4k and 30 fps... Now i want somehow to run second instance of OBS and get downscaled 1080p signal. I have also Hauppauge HD PVR 60 for downscaling HDMI signal from 4k to 1080p, but as soon i plug Elgato 4K60 S+ output to Hauppauge input, Elgato 4K60 S+ will record only in 1080p.... its very complicated. I will try some hdmi splitter with downscale option to record one output to recording with Elgato 4K60 S+ to 4k using another elgato capture stick as a "4k monitor" to force 4k recording and use second output of the splitter to hauppauge to downscale to 1080p and stream to OBS.... maybe it works... hdmi splitter is on the way. Or maybe someone has a better solution to record in 4k and stream at 1080p at the same time??
Can you use this with a hdmi splitter? I don’t fancy passing through the hdmi 2.1 I’ll get when I buy the new Xbox. I’d be missing features due to the elgato’s limitations
Merci 😁
Great video and now you got me thinking of not getting elgato and trying another brand of video capture device. What would you recommend for a gamer of many years that has an Xbox one x and a brand new Alienware m17 R2 with the elgato 16 button stream deck to use as a capture device to do some live streaming and to capture my online gaming ?
Hey EposVox i got a question do you know what the highest bitrate is to stream on RUclips at FULL HD 60FPS i´m From Germany and my upload speed is 50mbit but if i set the bitrate in obs to 40000 it feels like youtube wont´t use all of my conection speed and for example Twitch limit the bitrate to 6000 for normal streamer
about the tone mapping for hdr,you said that RUclips sorts it out when its uploaded,so would it keep that tone mapping to the file if you were to download the video from RUclips which you uploaded to RUclips
You can’t import MKV into LumaFusion you would need to have the MP4 wrapper on, so no 1 against MKV in the text file or it won’t import it. There are no darkening issues with HDR on export. Tone mapping is not an issue, it is easy to adjust all aspects of the video tone, colour, etc in LumaFusion. If you have an iPad and this device there is no easier way to work with 4K HDR 60FP, record, import, colour correct it etc and then export. Compare an iPad and this box and it’s speed and convenience to the tech and software required to do this otherwise. LumaFusion costs about $30.. 😂
Why does the OSSC footage look like it was oversharpened from hell and back? Is that just how the card treats the source or is that from editing and encoding the file review?
EposVox, What microphone do you use? For example, the first 30 seconds of this video. You have a great voice, and your microphone brings everything out. Thank you and cheers, Sir.
I recently bought the 4k60s+ but can't get a signal no matter how I try it. Three slow red flashes just like when you needed to power cycle it. But power cycling seems to do nothing. You ever had this problem when reviewing?
Ey dude, First of all, congratulations for the hardwork, amazing video. I would like to ask you about the "line-in jack" 11:26 does it work with a headset (audio+voice) or do you need the elgato chatlink or a jack 3.5 connected to your laptop? Thank you for your time and best regards
Just got my 4k60s+ and basically just plugged it in and play/record. Works great BUT... when i play with the tv volume on, it records both gameplay and audio fine. When i turn the volume to zero on the tv and play/record while wearing a headset...i only get video. No audio. How do i get around that? I mostly only game when family are in bed so not really able to have tv volume on.
Great review, it was very insightful. I've been using the Ninja V to record and was hoping the 4K60S+ was going to provide more features and easier workflow that made it worth the switch. The value doesn't seem there though besides smaller file size and recording to SD instead of SSD when using something like my iPad to edit.
@@huntersoyffer3359 The Atomos Ninja V records to an SSD. The files are pretty large though even at the highest compression. I've edited some footage from it on my iPad Pro, but the workflow of getting files off the SSD to the iPad can be a bit of a pain. www.atomos.com/ninjav
I have a V90 SD card and setting the bitrate to 720 mbps doesn't work. I use the Lexar card with 2000x which is more than enough since it has a write speed of over 250 MB/s write speed. In the video you state that there is no max bitrate for SD card recording but the capture card crashes when I record for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Weirdly enough I don't end up with a corrupted file either. How can I keep this high quality without dropping the bitrate?
I'm have trouble doing live commentary with it . I'm using a chat link and hear audio I'm the headset and when I record the game sound is there but no my commentary. Is there a setting I need to change on the ps4 ? I'm using standalone mode
bro i bought this elgato today when i testing it with my g7 odyssey monitor and my ps5 console i get black screen no signal i changed the monitor to another one 1080 HD still same prb no signal also i try using my pc same prb what is the problem ? can you help me please ?
I’ve had to power cycle it way to many times going from my Xbox to my Nintendo Switch. Seems like any time I change the source everything needs to be disconnected and plugged back up. Super annoying.
Loving your reviews even if I'm a littl confused still. Looking for a device for my son that'll work well with XBSX & an entry level 13" MBP from last year... That can allow him to stream on Twitch (without creating any gameplay lag as he's impressively good in Apex!) and capture the footage to edit later and drop on YT. Is this 4k cars overkill? Should he just use twitch app and sub to lightstream? Or just go but the HD 60s+ ? TIA.
I'm a console gamer and record videos with a HD60 and use the audio input from the capture card to my astro mixamp pro, which works fine, would I have to tweak everything on the 4k60 S+ again or will I be fine with just plugging everything in?
I'm on the market for a no PC capture card. I can only really find the Elgato HD60+ and the avermedia live gamer portable plus and both seem to caveats to them. Is there any others on the market? And if not which one is better of the two? I'll be recording on ps5 and series X.
I was only looking into this for 4k 60 gameplay capture for PS5 and nothing else. Would this do the trick? I saw in another video that someone did a comparison recording from the sd card and OBS, and the SD card had the better quality because of the different encoding so am I going to lose quality by recording my gameplay on OBS which is what I prefer? I also got a 4k60 pro mk.2 today but realized it won't fit because the 4090 is a monster and blocks the pcie slot 2. I put the card in my last slot pcie 4 and it doesn't work properly giving me green screen on OBS. If I switch to the hdmi source on the monitor I can see fine but yeah OBS cannot see it. So I have two options, either riser cable or get the 4k60s+. Any ideas?
I can accept external power if the compression is done by the box. One question: when I record to the PC do I get a already compressed file or my machine has to do the compressio? Thanks!
Hey Epos, not sure if you will see this, but do you know of any Capture cards like this but support 120Hz pass through? Looking for a capture card that doesn’t require a PC
Hey EposVox, any word on whether Elgato plan on adding 1440p? I saw a post on Reddit about 7 montha ago saying they were looking at implementing support but radio silence since.
I want to be able to record gameplay and party, but I want to know if I need a pc or laptop to be able to save the videos to my phone and watch/upload them.
I gave up I can't get this thing to work to record video game in 1080p with voice on OBS SLOBS or 4K Capture. The update to 4K capture utility has resolved my random line noise issue but if I can get it to work the next day it goes to sh*t or its choppy audio. Im going to have to buy a line out microphone and go directly to input and record to SD. This thing sucks as a capture device it just doesn't work.
So there's absolutely no way to encode recordings in h.264 in standalone mode? I ask because I have 1080p projects I wan't to continue capturing more footage for using this product and I'm not sure if adding new captures to them with a different encoder (h.265) will negatively effect the quality of the the project as a whole. That is if mismatching encoders in one project is even a thing to worry about.
You can change it via the settings file - that was a miscommunication w/ my Elgato rep, I was under the impression the option was being removed outright. But no, different codecs on a timeline is nothing to worry about it, virtually every project I edit has 3-5 different source codecs.
Hi eposvox, I desperately need help with my elgato 4k60 s+. I have a ps5 and sony xbr x900 *tv new update firmware vrr release last week*. I setup my elgato 4k60 s+ standalone mode with elgato chat link pro (isolator) & ps5 controller hard wired mode and I made sure the ps5 audio is set to all chat when recording warzone in game chat. While recording few games everyone can hear me no issue. But after the recording when viewing it in my pc, I can hear everything and party chat voices but I don't hear my self talking to my team. I see my chat icon talking in warzone. I tried looking in youtube nothing and elgato support sux haven't heard anything for days. I don't know what I'm doing something wrong with my ps5 or my elgato? Please help!!
@EposVox The audio clipping seems to be an issue with the 4K Capture Utility. I'm getting Game Audio clipping when I use that software, and it's very annoying, especially because the audio coming out my TV sounds just fine.
I'm an idiot and didn't link my lut pack!

About FFmpeg's tonemapping filter being very slow: FFmpeg has a “tonemap_opencl” filter that will run the tonemapping process on your GPU (if compatible). It tonemaps my UHD Blu-ray rips at about 45fps on my 1060 6GB. You can use it like this: “ffmpeg -init_hw_device opencl=: -filter_hw_device -i -filter_complex [0:V:0]format=p010le,hwupload,tonemap_opencl=format=nv12:tonemap=hable,hwdownload,format=nv12[out] -map [out] ”
is just a label you assign to the device to keep track of it, doesn't really matter, I typically choose ‘gpu’.

Hi there.
With this card can you stream (as an input for obs xsplit,, etc) and record into the SD card at the same time?
@@jampmp no
Thank you!
Good eyes!
Wait does this work with older gen consoles like the Xbox360 or WiiU? Looking for a good computerless capture card.
So there is an added bonus for me. lol.
But I still like my HD60 (No S) better. lol
@@josephtpg7329 It should. All my old gen consoles work on it including the Wii.
@@ChrisEvans66 thank you! You are a lifesaver!
@@josephtpg7329 No problem. Also my wii goes through hdmi to my framemeister and then from my framemeister to the elgato 4k60s+ through hdmi
Been excited to see your thoughts on this.
What I find this thing to lack which makes no sense at all is a 1440p option.
Having 4k, 1080p and 720p to choose from but not 1440p is... just why??
You sly guy Epos :-) When you told me to be patient for this review, you knew that it was only a couple of days away lol.
MWAHAHAHAHA
So is this basically for press/ect to do on the go captures at events and stuff. And a 4k proV.2 is the better route for at home?
Generally speaking, yeah
But how do you solve the MKV problem
39:32 basically killed the device for me. No scaling is really a bummer. Great review/video as always, though!
can you help me i want ot edit my recordings and i cant even see them when i recorded them how i fix that so i can view and edit them PLZ HELP
Super comprehensive review. Well done!
Hi I am trying to capture lossless AVI and it's not having it at all with this card - any help you can give would be appreciate!
1440p not supported be ware! 31:45
I can't get the USB connection to work with this device. I have it plugged into the PC and it doesn't show up in OBS or in the Elgato software, the elgato software crashes immediately when I open it
As far rendering the video resolution shadow play has an ok performance. Any more affordable alternative you recommend ?
trying to setup a dual PC streaming/recording station. Would you recommend this for recording/streaming to a laptop? Or do you know of any 4K60 capture cards which capture 4k60 instead of just doing passthrough
This and the AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt (which requires Thunderbolt 3 instead of USB) are the only ones that can capture native 4K60 externally
@@EposVox ahhh ok thanks for the quick responses always dude. And I'd be able to stream still from one of those right?
I HAVE THE ELGATO HD60 TO RECORD BLU RAY, CAN THIS ELGATO 4K60S+ DO THE SAME THING?
So HDR and SDR what is that exactly
It would be amazing if you could compare elgato top capture cards for future reference... 4k60 s+ VS 4k60 pro mk.2
2:19 h8 to be that person but a clicky button will just wear out faster 🙄🙄
That’s not an inherent truth, no
@ Yes but I don't get the design of this unit, why not allow the USB outport able to just record from the device? Maybe that requires different software inside making it more expensive
I'm not sure I understand the question. You CAN record to a computer with the USB data port on this device. The primary point is to be able to record to SD card away from a computer, but you CAN use a computer, too
@@EposVox Interesting, I do own this device and I actually didn't know that the USB port on the back was for that, originally I purchased this unit back when I didn't own a PC but the SD card slot has seen a lot of use so I'm gonna start using the USB slot now
EpozVox, Do you have any clue as to why the 4K 60+ has my webcam super dark when I use their plug in, as opposed to using the camera without it ? ❤️
yea idk why they dont have a playback for the last 5 minutes, seems like such an easy option to have and they seem to be going backwards with not having that option
If you're capturing sdr footage to begin with its not a problem at all, no
Hi I need some help
You see my pc is in my room and the PS4 is in the other room and I want a way which will make it so
I can record gameplay and I can just plug it into my Pc and edit it from there
Is that possible
I’m wondering if this will record gameplay on my Lenovo Legion 7 laptop?
I’m having so many problems recording on OBS and Nvidia GeForce Experience with newer games, especially my current gameplay of Forza Horizon 5 😫
I’m really considering this 4K60 S+ to either record from my Windows directly to my MacBook Pro and edit, or straight onto an SD card and edit on either devices. It seems like a perfect device but the reviews I’m finding are really mixed and it’s a lot of money to spend if it isn’t going to work 😩
I have been considering upgrading my HD60 S+ for some time too as I’d like to invest in a PS5, so the 4K60 would be an ace upgrade for that
What would you recommend for a lower budget guy trying to capture game clips with in game audio/party audio that can be used as a standalone
I was going to get the avermedia live gamer portable 2 plus but decided on this that supports HDR.
hello my elgato is not working on xbox no picture appears on tv, is there a solution?
I bout the hdr lut but what I get on my files phone was only rainbow pictures 🤔 idk how to used it 😞😩 help
2 questions: can a laptop PC be recorded with the target SD? can you record TV shows on TV with or without Target SD?
The best review ever. I decide to buy it after watch your review. Thanks. Nice video
Thanks for watching!
Excellent review and tips. Thanks very much!
Thanks Brother Vox! Can't wait to get my hands on one and test it.
You'd be missing most of those features with a splitter, too, given HDMI has to adapt to the lowest common standard.
So this isn’t really any good for the next gen consoles coming then
If you plan on doing 120hz or adaptive sync, no.
For just 4K 60fps hdr, it'd be fine w/ next gen consoles.
Thanks a lot for the the information! Do u know how to set it up in streamlaps! And use it for streaming the right way
Thank you for the review RUclips Creator been waiting for this💯
Hey EposVox i got a question do you know what the highest bitrate is to stream on RUclips at FULL HD 60FPS i´m From Germany and my upload speed is 50mbit but if i set the bitrate in obs to 40000 it feels like youtube wont´t use all of my conection speed and for example Twitch limit the bitrate to 6000 for normal streamer
So the burning question is which one is more "solid", the 4K60S+ (with SD recording, a cool feature) or the Avermedia Bolt (with TB3)?
about the tone mapping for hdr,you said that RUclips sorts it out when its uploaded,so would it keep that tone mapping to the file if you were to download the video from RUclips which you uploaded to RUclips
How reviews should be done. Good job my friend
!
Hi,
can you please provide a recorded HDR clip so we can check how it looks or even color correct it so we can decide to buy it or not ?
EposVox, What microphone do you use? For example, the first 30 seconds of this video. You have a great voice, and your microphone brings everything out. Thank you and cheers, Sir.
For 400 usd it should have at least m2 slot for internal ssd or ability to connect external drive via usb.
I recently bought the 4k60s+ but can't get a signal no matter how I try it. Three slow red flashes just like when you needed to power cycle it. But power cycling seems to do nothing. You ever had this problem when reviewing?
I’m confused is the HDMI pass-through limited to 60hz or is it as fast as the original source assuming you actually have a high refresh rate monitor?
60hz limited
EposVox Thanks!
Ey dude,
First of all, congratulations for the hardwork, amazing video.
What can record to ssd? I also edit on iPad lol
FYI, 4K CU app will tonemap to streaming software Elgato says in their tutorial video for this product.
Only through Stream Link NDI
How to connect iPhone/iPad into it? Also what stuff I need when I want to use older consoles?
I'm have trouble doing live commentary with it . I'm using a chat link and hear audio I'm the headset and when I record the game sound is there but no my commentary. Is there a setting I need to change on the ps4 ? I'm using standalone mode
bro i bought this elgato today when i testing it with my g7 odyssey monitor and my ps5 console i get black screen no signal
i changed the monitor to another one 1080 HD still same prb no signal
also i try using my pc same prb
what is the problem ? can you help me please ?
You'll wanna do some tests to get your volume level in the INI set right but otherwise will be fine
@@EposVox thank you, won't be upgrading for a while, if I bump into any trouble I'm sure you'll have a video on how to fix them 🙂
Did I hear you correctly? You said you use this to record PS3? Is that true? or are you using workarounds such as splitters and that kind of stuff?
Thanks!
Woooooooof. I’ve been waiting for this review
Hi dude, i have a question, do i have to turn off the elgato its currently on standby mode( led will slowly flash blue) from the wall outlet ?
@@EposVox Awesome, Thanks!

@EposVox The audio clipping seems to be an issue with the 4K Capture Utility. I'm getting Game Audio clipping when I use that software, and it's very annoying, especially because the audio coming out my TV sounds just fine.
Did the update help your issue?
Can’t believe they didn’t go with 2.1 for 4K 120 pass through for the new ps5/Xbox series x
