I think you mean TCM (Transmission control Module) and not the TCU (Telematics Control unit). Unfortunately both sometimes use the same acronym thanks to the AIS of the NQA.
Looked liked a well kept clean car,then we went under the hood (Bonnet) !!! Might have been easier to have folded down the other keys to have got the last bolt undone.
How did you start the car without pairing the tcu with ecu? In my case, simple change didnt do anything, i simply couldn't start the car, ni signs of life were given :)

Would it work for a torque converter clutch open and also stop it from a slight jerk
My bolts just spin ... wont loosen, just sound like they're spinning.

He don't need,because its a used one TCU.He only need to buy the same TCU with the same part number.
