I got the surgery done 2 days ago and finally, after 13 years, I won't wear glasses anymore. I can't believe that after my -7 vision I can see everything clear now. I am so happy! ❤
I’m happy for you! I cant imagine the relief you felt lol, but before you got the surgery did your eyes get worse every year? Or did they get better each year? Because I got glasses a few years ago and my eyes continue to get worse!
@@cmedyugrrerukn7817 Thank you very much. 😊 I wish you can get the laser eye surgery soon! At first my eye doctor was a very bad doctor, she said that everything is ok with my vision and glasses aren't needed. I didn't wear glasses for 1 year and that caused my vision to get even worse than before. When I started wearing glasses, my vision was already -3. But then I found a doctor who helped me and even my vision got -7, my eyes were in a very good condition. I am very thankful to her that my vision didn't get lower than that. So you need to find a good doctor. I wish you good luck and don't be afraid, everything will be fine. 😊
My eyes are also going baddd power= -6.75 I'm 16 yrs old nowmy doctor said that LASIK causes dryness in eyes forever so I'm in confusion to take decision.
It was the best thing I ever bought for myself. I can't recommend it enough. It was so freeing to be able to roll over and read the alarm clock without squinting. I do still occasionally get "artifacts" from having worn glasses and contacts for decades and suddenly not needing them, like I'll freak out for a second because I'll reach over and can't find my glasses... old habits die hard. Lasik changed my life. For the surgery itself, it was "look at the blinking lights (15-20 seconds elapses). Ok now don't freak out because you're going to go blind for about 15 seconds." Then I had perfect vision.
"Eating carrots will improve your eyesight" was a myth propogated by the British Air Force to hide the fact that they had RADAR in their aircraft. You might wanna tell your parents that.

I had this done after many years of dithering. I am short sighted. Carried out to one eye only and I can see better than 20/20. I experienced quite intense pain for half a day which is unusual and after that, the pain went away and was just sore. My vision stabilised within 2 to 3 weeks. I don't wear glasses and I should have done it many years ago. My only problems are depth perception is a little off. I play tennis and soccer, so it's not much of a problem. I now can swim and kite surf no glasses seeing everything. At AUS$1500, it was a bargain.
I got this done when I was 18, i was nervous but it looks worse than it really is. It felt a bit uncomfortable sure but it didn’t hurt, and it was so quick. I don’t regret getting it at all, I’m 20 now and I love my vision✨
This is an excellent 3D medical animation depicting LASIK eye surgery!! Although you hear it described and there are several videos online of this type of procedure; this animation provides a cleaner, less intimidating view of the procedure. I just had this done myself a few months ago and it would have been helpful to watch something like this before-hand.
Literally how far the modern technology has gone and how promising today's eye surgeries are I'm sure in near future there are gonna be even better and safer surgeries than today It's amazing
I had this done 3 days ago on May 28, 2024. Was done in 2 minutes. No pain even after the procedure. I was able to see better straight out of surgery. If you’re here thinking about doing it, do it. My only regret is not doing it years ago.
Wore only glasses for 15 years, I'm 24 years old right now. Got mine done last week. I had like -4/-5 vision and now I'm near 20/15. It's incredible. The surgery itself was not painful, only pressure which was only slightly discomforting for me personally. But it's done so fast. Genuinely like 5 minutes? even less probably. The first 4 hours or so afterwards were annoying because of a burning sensation, could barely open my eyes, but that's normal. I just had someone help me put eye drops in as instructed and napped. Hours later, pain subsided. Best decision I made. Cost $5,000CAD. I did become more light sensitive though and have drier eyes, but it doesn't negatively affect my life much. Sunglasses and eye drops help. Follow the doctor's instructions exactly regarding post-op care and ask all the questions you have and you'll do fine. Should've done it sooner.
Best decision of my life. At first it’s super scary when they cut 20% of the tip of my eyelid, but they gave me Valium to help me stay calm and relaxed. Procedure took about 15 minutes for both eyes. Was able to see perfect the next day
if you are interested in this surgery, within reason, don't hesitate~ it's been four years since i got it, one of the best decisions i have ever made. the magic of when the surgery (which is very brief) is over and you can SEE things far away is like nothing i've ever experienced
It reminds me that moment...when I was shivering and asking every patient, will it hurts?.. and that nervousness while I was waiting for my turn.. And after surgery, doctors informed my mom that he was disturbing us so much , difficult to deal with him 😀😂 Finally it's been 4 to 5 yrs..
Just had surgery yesterday. Really isn't scary at all. Only pressure i felt is the ring they put on my eye. Pain for a frw hours but just take a nap for 4 hours and you'll be good. I have 2020 vision. Best decision of my life. Forever grateful

In some surgeries the eye actually does require stitches! And its not fun :)
My brother recently got lasik, i had to drive him there and back home... he told me it was nothing to it, the eye drops they give numb your eye so you can't feel a thing. we were there for about 3 or 4 hours maybe? the procedure takes about 3 mins per eye, but the doctor wants to check your eye to make sure it's healing, so you're mostly sitting in the waiting room.
How is your brother doing now?

I'm not a doctor and I haven't gotten LASIK (i plan to) but I really doubt it hurts, especially since they numb your eye to the point where you can barely see and can't move it, so that the procedure goes flawlessly. @@cmedyugrrerukn7817 Thank you very much. 😊 I wish you can get the laser eye surgery soon!
At first my eye doctor was a very bad doctor, she said that everything is ok with my vision and glasses aren't needed. Parents: carrots are good for your eyesight
Me: dude I already wear glasses, carootsb will not magically cure me
Omg same as my parents they think that carrots can cure my eyes smh
"Eating carrots will improve your eyesight" was a myth propogated by the British Air Force to hide the fact that they had RADAR in their aircraft. You might wanna tell your parents that.
Carrots have beta-carotene and our bodies change it to vitamin A, which it's really useful for the eyes, they are not joking.
Meow carrots are high in vitamin A which is an essential nutrient for that can improve vision
@@goat504 Eating a bunch of carrots is not going to magically improve your vision. Your body gets its Vitamin A from other sources such as milk, eggs, cereal, greens etc anyway. Vitamin A helps with the retina/night blindness which has nothing to do with glasses. Besides, that doesn't change the fact that it was a myth by the RAF. Read up on it.
