That is a newer Sentry siren too... I don't have a clue as to what thier old one was... I have looked at pics and still can't figure it out! I love the signal this thing does.... very awesome! You don't happen to have a recording of thier old siren do you?
In 2005, I lived in North Water Ave in Hermitage near a Fire Department and it had a Sentry Siren and on April 11th, 2005, that darn siren went off at 4 AM. I was scared freakless. Later!
Many of the sirens used before and during WWII were made by Sterling, the predecessor of Sentry, and used very similar designs to those currently in production.
Very cool siren. PA is a siren lover's dream, being that there are so many Volunteer Fire Departments, and so many old sirens used by them. I'm guessing that's what this one is for?

At first I was like, "That's not creepy."
Then it wound down and echoed and my heart dropped into my stomach.
Awesome vid, I love Sentries, that winddown echo is incredible.

i asked how many cycles does this siren do for fire calls because it sounds like at least ten cycles
Imagine this sounding at 3am! Yes, here where i live! PA too!
that would be creepy at night especially if you were new to the town
These aren't brakes, this siren has a capacitor kicking on during the wind down,
That wind-down would be epic without the brake.
This siren is located in Blawnox, PA.
Nice video
Thank you. :)
Tactical nuke incoming!
how many cycles does this siren do for fire calls
This Sentry Siren reminds me alot of the omni-directional siren from the Silent Hill movie.
Excellent!
It's right across the Allegheny River from Penn Hills.
Creppy sounding! What city is this?
In our city they have these and they do the same thing during wind down
@jared heydy they do 20 cycles in my county sorry for the late response
@iwnproductions Blawnox is in PA
Jeez thats scary as hell
like silent hill
wow that is a long cycle!
Great echo, would have liked to have seen the siren. What kind is it?
Yeah...in a way...it is most notable at the main road imo =D

Nice
That's one hell of an echo!
Sentry 7v8
