- Ladies and gentleman, this is Toumba No. 5...
...Giannis Mustermann is heading to the Toumba Stadium, home to Greece's 4th largest club, PAOK. A stubborn, dogmatic manager who will not accept compromise, his goal is to completely transform the club - top to bottom - to conform to his very particular style of football.
Will he lead the club to domestic and European glory (one can dream!), and inspire future generations of Greek managers to adopt his unique brand? Or, will his stubborness lead to failure? Only time will tell.

Looks like I'm gonna start my FM24 save with PAOK, and follow your footsteps regarding save setup.
I've been playing my FM23 save on the new franchise.
Likewise - I'd mostly been using an old FM23 save when doing all the skinning (so I didn't accidentally see attributes on the new database)

And not only that... you have achieved the most difficult thing (and I think what people like the most, at least I do), which is to go from teaching how to sign players, set up your tactics and play your games, to telling a story. @@mustermannfm I will be expecting great things of our fellow dictator though...since PAOK was the club Abel Ferreira cut his teeth in outside of Portugal before we got him at Palmeiras.
@@BrasilianFury I always thought it was a weird move seeing Abel Ferreira at PAOK. Given Lucescu's success the season before (winning the league, going unbeaten), it seemed quite a drastic change of style. Don't get me wrong...I think Ferreira's a more tactically astute manager, but just seemed like a weird appointment.
He's doing a cracking job at Palmeiras...and definitely seems to be a better fit!

@@mustermannfmJust a quick hint from me: At the start of the game, another Werder-Legend is looking for a job - Claudio Pizarro (GOAT)!
He also worked with Thomas Schaaf and won the league and cup with him.
I haven’t quite got the facts together myself 🙈. Of course Claudio only won the DFB-Pokal with Werder. His six championships were all with Bayern.
@@ReinyFM It's a good suggestion, nonetheless! I was looking specifically for coaches who were at Werder at the same time as Angelos Charisteas (the loose Greek connection) - and thankfully Umit Davala came up pretty earlier in my search!

*Phew* - I know Aguirre should be more like a-geer-ay, but I did the voiceover in one take, and just thought I'd let it slide! Ironically...I also used the Spanish pronounciation of "diaspora" rather than the English version!
Κυβικά Ζιρκόνια is the name of one of the tactics indeed. I'll be talking more about that next episode.

If you decide to build a team around a tactic how do you go about finding players that suit it
That's the challenge (for the start anyway, at least)!!
With the first transfer window disabled and using Real World, I have no control over the squad at this moment, but when we get near to the January transfer window, it will be something I'll explore in more detail.
OK< did you make modifications to the skin to turn of the Player and Staff search or am I just having a massive PBKAC error?

How did you disable the player search?
In sections/sidebar sections.xml you need to add a after the following lines:
(that is player search)
(that is staff search)
