Fair to be skeptical, although one of the aspects I checked (as much as is reasonably possible) is assistant interference. The most obvious in this regard would be them changing to their preferred formation. Something which didn't happen as long as you told them to use your tactics. What would have a bigger impact, in my opinion, is their choice of players. They will often shoehorn the "best" players into the starting lineup, on their favoured side, even if not necessarily suitable for the tactic. That said, it happened consistently across the tests, which is why you are able to still observe patterns/trends.

My experience is non-existent. Or, that is to say, it will start on Monday 😂 I did notice the playing time, which I believe is a reflection of the player's playing time at their previous club. I'm planning on adjusting it in increments until it is appropriate. E.g. drop it a notch every month or so. If that causes players to kick off, then so be it. Nothing wrong with a little of adversity to force us to make changes come January!

METHODOLOGY I performed 10 full detail simulations of the Top 30 leagues to create a single database to give me insight into player and team performances under the current Match Engine. Set up in real world mode, with the first transfer window disabled. Teams were able to make transfers in January, allowing us to get a sense of what the AI considers each team's areas of weakness. All player statistics were exported for players in active leagues who played over 900 minutes, aggregated and then standardised to per 90 metrics. All players will come from this pool. No editor files were used as part of this process, ensuring that the guide provided is applicable to the vanilla game.

Much appreciated. I definitely understand that livestreams are difficult for many. Even myself. I am very much an asynchronous kind of fella. Join me on Monday to see how it all works together 😉 In terms of squad cohesion, it's about being mindful that assembling a whole squad means there are no existing relationships. Kinda. We have quite a few players who have played together at other clubs. Ultimately, when putting together the players, I have no idea how they're going to fit into social groups. Because the club doesn't exist until it's all done, there are no scout reports that can indicate how someone will fit in, and so ensuring there is some common ground just helps to smooth things over during the first few months...hopefully.

Whilst you can get performance data from going to competition pages and work from that, it's usually pretty useless. The disparity in quality between players at that level is too high to meaningfully analyse. Once players start making first team appearances (possibly on loan at a lower league club) you can start to identify those who are performing well in exactly the same way you would for other senior players. You might not expect as rounded a profile, but possibly to do well in one or two specific areas.

@@zephyr6777 from what I can tell, he moved permanently to Ankaragücü, and tore his tendon at the end of the season. Then moved back to Pisa on loan over the summer despite not being likely to return to playing until 2025. Which is weird!
