@@royplays4634there’s a lot tbf. Just any proper dm that has like high defending and decent attacking/vision will work as long you don’t put someone with a dlp attribute on dm
@@jasong1713 I have never tried that to be honest mate - But I feel like this could work next to a DLP CM on support if it’s a gengenpress 4-2-3-1, if you’re doing this i’d suggest having an inverted wingback on the side of the CM just for balance as it sounds quite attacking i’ve played around a lot with roles and formations this year, but my favourite balance for a midfield is a DM as a DLP on support with a CM on attack (better than a BBM cm) and a Mezzala on attack, give this a try if your 4-2-3-1 doesn’t work out and you will not regret it
@jasong1713 having tried it in the past on FM22 I wouldn't recommend it tbh, CM attack does very little defensive work so it leaves big gaps on turnovers. If your AM can play CM then it'd work brilliantly in a 4-3-3/4-1-2-2-1
I would have agreed with Carrelero before BUT I used it in an asymmetric tactic where my right mid was a little light and the player I used (who'd previously been a DLP and a B2B) was incredible; the number of key passes he had was sensational, knitting the midfield play perfectly. Needs high aggression and workmate but also technique & movement but I was very pleasantly surprised
I completely disagree with your positioning of DLP. I play with one in almost every system and I often get good results and good player ratings. Perhaps it just suits my system more than the ones you’ve used. I respect that it’s your opinion, but for me, it’s been very reliable. Cheers
i watched the video yesterday already but i had an idea for your channel do a rebuild where you only use the best (or worst) player roles (or both separately to see if the results change) it would be fun to see
lol DW is like the most underrated role in the game. People just don't understand it or how to use it at all. I use them in a 4-4-2 wide diamond with two FB-At making underlapping runs, or even as the sole wide players in a 3-4-2-1. They are very very good and I would highly recommend using them in that setup over WB-At any day of the week
Strange because it think it depends on your tactic visions and the available players. I tried plenty of different tactics and no role was avoidable or "meh". And i tried many times a shadow striker but in my tactics the ss was never working rly good. So I changed him to a F9 and He played almost perfect - even his top Position was SS he was playing much better as F9.
It depends on the tactic and how the roles interact together. A Kombination of DLF on s, Winger on a and Poacher is great in 424 tactics. AF , IF .. etc. are much easier to use effectively
Disagree with RPM and AM in MEH, and ‘usable’ is a very discouraging name imo. Should just be ‘good’ AM with personal instructions can be probably the most effective role in that position. RPM is pretty good depending on how you play and the other midfield pairing (I prefer it in the MC role and not DM)
WM is great idea. Insanely good. The only wide role that needs tackling. And so many people are gegenpressing, asking their wide players to close down and tackle harder. The WM does that. In my system, a WM on attack scores 20+ at a top team. And I have one on each side. The difficulty is finding wide players with high tackling, and I retrain defenders. You just can't find many.
Until last week I would have agreed with the f9 being meh or even avoid, but I have tested it again and if he's not the only striker, it works really well. Pair him with an advanced playmaker and a shadow striker and you will have fantastic results of him pulling a defender out of position and one of the other two running into this space and scoring goals for fun. It is quite aggressive though and you might run into problems defensively when none of those 3 will really participate in the work against the ball...
DLP has to be in my tactic every time in my 433 setup, so DLP is goat for me. And then other crucial role is CM in att role or MEZ, I just switch between the two. Idk why my tactic tend to depend on how good my central midfielder are lol.
SK WCB, CD. WCB W BBM MEZ IW AM T AF works well if it a tougher team switch to DW, its an underrated role. I had Oyarzabal as a wide RMD with PI as dribble more he was amazing
Nice video. Just curious, because I have Zaïre-Emery as a carrilero and you said there are better roles (BBM you said was similar). Which would you say is a better alternative? Thanks!
No no no AM, is great. Here is the reason: AM offer u a freedom and wont slow down ur tempo (unlike playmaker). I dare say he is even better than SS. WM is useable too. poacher is also useable, poacher actually create room for other players when there is no room.
Hello, I have a question during the season, my team falls into a slump around January and lasts for about 2 or 3 months, what would have happened if it had been avoided, or what could be to blame for this, tactics or maybe the players had improper training?

Am, dm, bpd and sk are literally the 4 meta roles for their position lol
How to get player be good in dm? All cdm players are bad at it according to the circle thing in tactics and the players complain about it pre natch

Wingers on attack with cut inside is a combination of the IF and the traditional winger role of past fm
Trequartista is S-Tier for sure. You can never go wrong with a Trequartista. I have a love affair with the Trequartista role.
Try CM on attack duty, it’s my new favourite role this year - I find that it is more effective than a box to box midfielder
would you say its safe to play it as one of the cms in a 4231 no dms system, pairing with a dlp or cm(d)?
