Interesting comments on Girard. I haven't been too impressed with his takes on Nietzsche either, and agree that he seems a bit to eager to try and force everything into his model.
Very interesting discussion. Also interesting to see how your conversations have progressed as you've become more familiar with each other. The quote at the end there made me wonder about Paul's own contradictory position - he's a British Germanist, a non-therapist Jungian - is he an academic with a mere scholarly interest in Christian ideas, or is there something more there? Anyway, great discussion, thank you!
The guest's comments about "the mouth of a pistol or the foot of the cross" were incredibly offensive.

Paul Bishop is back! Loved your episode with him on Jung and Parzifal.
