I would pay stupid money to be able to travel back in time to see this performance. Link Wray is one of the best rock n roll shows I've ever seen in my life, and the Scorchers ain't bad either!
Thank you for posting the Video of my father Link Wray with you On it! Great to see them on RUclips ! Just hope he gets inducted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Someday! Thanks Link Elvis Wray
Sorry, Junior! I doubt either your father or the other real rebel of R'n'R Gene Vincent will end up in Hall of Fame. To wild , and not famous enough. But there are a shit load of guitarists out there who named your father as a great influence!
Good to hear from you, Link. I saw Link Wray at The Iron Horse in Northhampton, MA, A little venue. He was as awesome as ever! I can't believe he wasn't inducted long ago. As i'm 74, I've been diggin him from the outset. Glad to see him with the Scorchers, here!
He should be in the R&R HOF. Should have already been in there. At least a song got in there, but not good enough. Good to see you support your dad. May have not always been easy. LIfe on the road is tough.
Love the introduction. Slowly but surely getting his well deserved recognition. The Rock Hall has got to come around and give the man his due. Such joy in this performance!
I see my review is directly under link wrays son.so now a double honor to write a huge thank to utube for this great bio on one of rocks greatest masters. Often imitated but never bested linkwray.. I'm really starting to like you u tube guys *****
The Gods of Rock'n'Roll were smiling on this day... Link Wray? He was shredding before shredding ever existed! My mother had a Link Wray 45rpm of "Rumble" that she gave to me when I was a teenager just starting out on the guitar, Link Wray is the true Godfather of Metal and Punk guitar and was still playing into his 70's... a true pioneer. RIP Link!
I feel so very fortunate that I live over the bridge from the town Link Wray was born and raised in. He makes me proud to be from The South. A true music pioneer. THE father of ROCK-'N'-ROLL. So sad he is buried in The Netherlands instead of here where he belongs. RIP Mr. Wray. You came home anyway.
this video shows again that Link Wray was the coolest guy that ever set foot on a stage. Even when the fabulous Jason and the Scorchers are with him. Thanks for sharing this!
I totally agree about these boys being one of the greatest live bands ever and DAMN this is fakkin UNREAL...forget Beck and Page trading riffs, THIS is sweat and balls to the wall riffing...rockabilly country MC5 power
I've stated this for thirty years, and Steven Housewright is correct. When they are that 82-87 peak and actually just in the past couple of years??? ... One will never see a better live band. The energy isn't palpable on video, but hairs on the beck of your necks will/would curl if actually in front of the stage. It's like a lighting storm to see them live when it all falls together.
I can't believe the audience just stood there not appreciating Link Wray, the biggest influence on so many top guitarist, when he started rocking, there wasn;t any rock n roll, disrespectful response just standing there like a bunch of nodded out junkies. they don't know a legend when they hear one. Jason had to stop and practically beg the audience to move, to cheer and clap. He's the man! i just got copies of two of Wray's albums.. Love and appreciation. forever!
that's what it means to be underrated.... under the radar....esp. for none musicians.... He's cool with his place it seems... doing what he loves... He's not an ego maniac looking for fame and praise.. I've listen and attended a lot of converts but do not know the names and personal lives of the artists... if one got in trouble or busted or died prematurely that made it on the news, then i would have heard their name... ...

A PERFECT combination ~ Link 'RUMBLE' Wray, and Jason & the Scorchers!
Nothing less than it should have been close to a RUMBLE there !
👍

Link Wray is the epitome of "cool"
Jason and the Scorchers about ten years ahead of their time and underrated . Ditto Link Wray. How often do you see that ? together ?
This is fantastic!!!Just Wow!!!huge thanks for posting☺☺
when dudes were dudes, and music was real. yo warner

I see these name the most underrated guitarist pages. Link Wray, Roy Buchanan and Mike Bloomfield are my answers.
This absolutely smokes! Rock-n-roll defined x 2.
Warner and link, omg, love it!

PURE Rock n Roll!!

Please welcome Link Wray, that’s all the hell you gotta say...

I have seen a few phenomenal bands. Vintage trouble is a far away second. Now
How awesome !
Love Link and Warner..
Great stuff...
Isn't this a Cramps tune? No matter. Legendary. And he's in the RAR HOF!!!
Link Wray must get a new body transplant every 10 years
Hell yeah link ray ♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
wow!
Jaw-Dropping!!!
what is Link 56 here? and just looking cool as hell.
I don't get it, he would have been 54 years old in this clip - sure doesn't look it!
Link was unfortunatly boxed in by this guitar player.
The Scorchers were pretty dialed in.
Link ate Warner alive here. Cool as hell.
shredder
Dude invented metal.
Link Wray must be enjoyed in the context of Robert Gordon. Check it out.
I like to put Scotty Moore playing the solos in early Elvis with those cats. They’re gonna do it their way and you can get with it or find an exit
Best live performers ever... And I know that is saying a lot but their energy was unmatched except for SRV...RIP
34 years ago.
