2:26 - I think I've heard that melody before in one of your other videos. Can't wait for that gemstone to be digitally acquire-able some time in the future 😉 As always, a pleasure to watch you do what you're passionate about. Keep it up 🎸🔥
Haha, thanks man! Wait until you see the finished guitar. 😅 Maybe you'll hate it, haha! The reveal video on the Thomann channel is coming out tomorrow and my Part 2 of the building process is coming on Thursday right here. Fingers crossed. 😆
@@KrisBarocsi Finally finished watching the whole video and using the Dremel bit to do the dots was a great idea. I'm going to remember that for future projects.
Thx, for the First glimps, locking Forward to the Further steps, and Hey thx for the Tip of 3m masking Tape, i Wish you a hell of good responses to your built, i will skip this year and start over next year in Formentera 🤣
Wow! Bravo!! (I don't know if is the right time but because you mentioned, you can use an old toothbrush to remove the dust around frets, pickups, the bridge etc)
Wow Kris, that is going to be a masterpiece! Looks beautiful! I recently painted my very first electric guitar, a black Squier Bullet, to give it some new life. I painted it a color called creme de la creme, an off white enamel paint and I am so impatient I hardly hardly could wait half a hour between coats...can't wait to see your guitar when it is finished!
From the mock-up sketch, you're painting over it with blue? Will you have to mask off all those little carvings?! 😲😖🤣 Blue+gold has a hint of Ukraine about it too.
What a hell of a good job! Hands down, you put a lot of work into it Respect for that! Congrats on the result, it looks amazing! Was the "base coat" just a regular clear coat spray paint or a special one? This is an awesome idea I think I'll do that as well next time on my project :) greetings
Love the carving since u carved the body, maybe u should do it on the headstock too bro, so it really match. maybe carving the guitar name on the headstock and one of the motif similar to the one on the body. but, nice plan on the body 👍👍👍
Cool idea! Unfortunately I would not be finished on time -> The reveal video is gonna air on the Thomann channel on the 25th and the next day the second part of the building process goes online here. Not enough time! 😅 I might be tweaking it some more in the future though, you never know, haha!
It’s a very fine line and difficult in my opinion to come up with a F style headstock that looks unique, well balanced and not like the million cheap knockoffs out there.Congrats on not falling off that fine line!
Thanks a lot! I really like this shape and yeah I didn’t want to go in the F direction with it. 😅 I’m pretty sure though that a few smaller makers or old forgotten brands used this shape already. Haha! It’s so hard to come up with something beautiful and new. Cheers!
Thanks so much! I’d love to do that but I don’t have any machines, not even a proper router at home. 😅 Ah yeah, and nearly zero time. Haha! This way it would take me years to make one. I will do it though, I can feel the urge already to do it.
Man, the gold looks sooooooo good. With the woodcarving it reminds me of the Legend of Zelda :D Got the same kit, but I lack the skills for something so extravagant. Quick question: Did you sand and prime the body because of the carving? I was planing to spray over the sanding sealer since the instructions said that you can do that... Sorry if the question is stupid, I'm a noob
Such a cool build, well done! What I struggled with in my build were the dry times between coat layers and paint layers and basically had to rush the whole project to the end. Did you mange to find lacquer and paint that had faster dry times?
Thanks a ton buddy! 🤗 I was using traditional instrument finishing nitrocelulose. Curing time is pretty long, depending on the thickness of the layer of course. I was able to put 2-3 layers on the guitar a day and waited a few days between the „big steps (base coat, color, clear coat). I‘m finally done with the build and it took me over 2 months. Mostly thanks to the wood carving. 😅
Love these kinds of projects and it's starting to look very good. The only things that prevents me to buy their Jazz master kit is the fact that they put a LP bridge and I want a jazzmaster tremolo and I haven't the tool to route it
I love the headstock shape very good idea and glad that you did not mimic the Fender shape. Looking forward for the electronics portion, knowing you I am sure that it will feature special voicing. Btw, is it too late already to leave it as a good top?
Too late for the gold top. I’m pretty far ahead of this now. 😅 Glad you like the headstock too, I’m in love with it tbh. The pickups are gonna be awesome but no super special voicings this time. I’m expecting interesting results, but it’s gonna be fairly traditional in terms of wiring. Cheers!
For some reason I thought you would fill in the carved holes with different colors of epoxy? Very cool work Sir , I don’t have the patience for that kinda kewl carving.
Now that would've been an awesome idea filling the carvings... Next time 😅 You're right about not even starting such a carving project. Man... the amount of hours that go in something like this. Holy shizzle! 😂
When painting you don't want a super smooth texture underneath the layer you're painting. The paint needs some "tooth" to grip into and be able to stick. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have issues with the paint not sticking in fee future...
Thanks a lot! I don't think any other guitar than my tele can take the first place. 😅 But I have some cool plans with this. You'll know what right at the end of the journey. Cheers!
That's how the kits come out of the box. Clearance for the pickguard mounted elecktrickery, and P90 pickups are pretty fat too. It's all covered by the pickguard so it doesn't really matter.
Thanks a lot! All the cavities are there for a reason: pickups and electronics. The pickup routings are that wide so that if someone wants to put original Jazzmaster pickups in there they don’t have to re-rout everything.
Haha! That's alright. 😂 I wanted to offer some entertaining for the ears as well, not only the eyes. And quite honestly, it's much nicer listening to my tracks than my blabbering, haha! At least I hope so.
Ambition, ambition ruined the world, but makes beautiful guitars ! Nice project.
Noooo, nonono don't stop here! Omg it's gorgeous. Can't wait to see the next episode
Haha, sorry for the cliff hanger. I hope you'll like the second part too. Cheers!

Really nice! Can´t wait for the next video...
This, Mr. Kris, is AWESOME!!!
Aww, thanks so much! 🙌
@@KrisBarocsi You're very welcome. Can't wait to see the final result. I understand you want the gold to peak through the worn-off blue?
Good to see someone else pulling out the printmaking/woodcarving tools. Enjoy some more of those in my builds!
Have fun making your guitar! 🙌

No troubles yet. I'm not done with the guitar though so who knows... 😆 I hope you'll like the second part too, it's coming up soon.
What was the first song you put on when you started drawing on the diamonds and dots? That was such a nice song!
