  • In this video I will walk you through how to tune your guitar using a tuner! I use the Snark SN5X tuner in this video which is a great headstock style tuner that I've been using regularly for the past 5 years or so. I love headstock style tuners. I think they are the best all-around option for a tuner. I highly recommend the Snark SN5X.

This is BY FAR the best how to tune with a tuner video for beginners that I have seen. Great job of explaining every detail to the total novice. Thank you!

Thanks, I watched a couple other videos...but yours was so clearly and thoughtfully taught. I'm 64 and just bought my first guitar yesterday. A dreadnought Yamaha F325D...a cheaper guitar, but I thought it sounded pretty good for a beginner guitar.
Thanks again, I may check out your video for any other helps.

That helped me since I wear two hearing aids and have a new tuner. Thanks so much. Played guitar for 40 plus years and until I got 2 hearing aids from the VA, most strings sounded pretty much the same. Thanks from Knoxville Tennessee

I bought this product couple months ago........... best simple tuning device I've used. By the way I've tried many types over the last 54 years of my guitar playing.

I ALWAYS advise tuning on the up pitch and NEVER the down pitch. If the string is sharp lower it beyond correct and then bring it UP to pitch.

One think I did notice hi didn't really mention is that when your string is too sharp you must loosen the string below the tuned line and bring back up so the string stays tight and doesn't losen when stumming your guitar.

That's the problem I'm having... Then I broke a string... So if it's not in the right note.. just keep tuning? Until it's in the right note? Bc I broke a string before I ever found the nite I shoulda been on.. so what should I be doing to correct that? If you know by now lol.. thanx
