I have seen a lot of video's on this same subject, but this is the best I have ever seen. Your tutorial is done so that others can understand how to transform. GREAT JOB. Your a very good instructor. You should make a video and sell it.
Nice Tutorial!! I feel like I am back in Pulsations Night Club 1984-1994 US Route 1 in Glen Mills,Pa (Minutes out of Philadelphia) I appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Awesome job I LOV IT!!!. Thanks, DjRicDerr C
Nice tutorial! And yes 99% of scratching has to do with the fader!!! That's really how you manipulate the sound(with the fader!!!) Great job Bro, like how you broke it down!
Hi! In hip hop 12" records you normally have the radio version or clean version (censored for radio use), the main version or LP version (uncensored), instrumental, and acapella. But normally there haven´t got extended version. The main are enough to mix.
@spazman10294 if you are using Traktor or Serato thats understandable. You need real vynil to avoid getting that tone/beep since the tone/beep is essential to using Traktor/Serato.
hi very nice examples about transforming..the old numark mixer is also nice..:-)..what kind of crossfader are you usin?..i checked the xfader, penny and giles and last the inofader and this one hooked me up..its near to the rane.. by the way i record all samples by myself..didn´t found much free samplestuff.. greetings bob
If you're right handed do you usually try to keep your right hand on the xfader and your left hand on the record or do you need to learn to be ambidextrous?
Stopped djaying in the 80s. Finally see how this was done! 35 years later LOL....Thanks

You should make more videos as simple and down to earth as this one. Good Job.

Great video, thanks for covering swing and pitch changes.
@housemanchi My opinion: I find the fader is about 50% and the record movement is the other 50%

Very informative. Great job boss.
yeah preferably, you buy scratch records with scratches in them
you have to start closed. if you start open its a flare scratch.
What kind of mixer/crossfader is that? Sounds very sharp and clear
Turntables are not in Battle position. That is a much better scratching position.
super seal is a good scratch record

Thanks.
True
What is the record you are using ?
serato cant keep up with my fast scratches, traktor responds alil better than serato, but yea vinyl is the best to scratch with,
