I play the game a lot and really enjoy it. That said, some route DLCs are better than others. Tees Valley (set in the 80s with the BR 101 diesel loco) and the Brighton to Lewes / Seaford routes are my personal favourites.
Fun fact: This track was built to extremely high standards, because it was the first one in Germany and they wanted to be careful. Theoretically the layout would allow for in-service speeds of more than 350kph even though the current limit is 280kph. I don’t know about the wires and trackbed though…

Depends on the game mode: • Scenarios: preset missions you are likely referring to. • Timetable: a semi-free roam where you drive a train based on the route's timetable. Mostly normal driving.
This type of train normaly has a Vmax. of 330kp/h and has a alowed vmax. of 300kp/h on some tracks in germany but the most high speed tracks in germany are Designed for 250kp/h. I think the game is a little bit unrealistic
In real life, you drive with a bunch of safety systems running on the train to prevent you going over the speed limit in high speed sections. Its actually simulated in the game, but obviously in this video its turned off. if you want more info look up LZB signalling. iirc, when you arent in the highspeed sections then you have a lot more control over how fast you go: if you want you could certainly speed without safety systems kicking in. BUT in these sections, you usually have warning when the speed limit is going to drop, which DOES trigger safety systems if you dont slow down. For instance, if you had a current speed limit of 100kph and it will drop to 60, a warning will be made before the limit drop, and you must slow the train otherwise the emergency brakes will come on.
@@pyro6569 train drivers probably have a lot of pent up rage from having to wait at stoplights for long periods of time. it'd make the game more immersive if you could have a mental breakdown and murder everyone at the train station. also, the battle royale mode would be realistic because organised crime gangs often take over train companies, so you'd have to kill any train driver who dared to enter your turf

Certified Max Speed of the ICE 3 is 320 kph. Most tracks are however not certified for that speed so the train usually has to go slower.
Pretty sure it's certified for up to 330km/h, but the fastest it goes in service (in France ironically) is 320km/h.
