[Simulation] Imaginary Ride on the Supersonic Rapid Service Train in Osaka Japan, 73km in 5 min
- Can you imagine what the front view of a train running at Mach 1 would look like? The innovative time-variant hyperlapse visual effect will let you experience a world that is impossible with today's railway technology. The original speed was recorded by GPS, at the same time as filming the view of the train window. The displayed speed was precisely calculated from the original speed to match the speed of the hyperlapse.
This video is a fiction. Normally it takes 52 minutes from Sannomiya to Kyoto. The trains stop at Ashiya, Amagasaki, Osaka, Shin-Osaka and Takatsuki. Maximum speed is 130km/h.

2:18 The horn made me laugh. A horn on a supersonic train would be about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
A workaround for this would be to station allarms along the track that the train driver could activate.
It’s like 600 meters were passed while this horn goes beep
Of course they solved this by also installing a horn at the station that is controlled by the train. So as long as it doesn't approach light speed it should be safe.
it scared me
You gotta honk the horn while you pass by the old folks home you know ;)

That turn before Osaka station would send the train flying into 5 different dimensions
I think the bigger issue would be passing by a station at mach 1 because the passengers are going to get where they need to go, but not in one piece.
What if that train went around a very sharp curve at Mach 100?
@@novatraugott Likely find the parts from the cars in another far away galaxy! The driver and passengers, another 1000 galaxies ahead of the train parts :P
This is actually a cool way to visualize how the airplane you are on is moving relative to the ground
Even a commercial flight, it can be 0.6-0.9 Mach…
1300 km/h is >1.0 Mach.
Ultrasonic flight is not common.
Bruh it is going supersonic at this point.
Current passenger planes don't go this fast.
Well, an airplane doesn‘t travel at the speed of sound, so it doesn‘t make that much sense
A normal passenger plane doesn’t go mach1😂

The train horn wouldn’t be very effective to warn others ahead at Mach 1.0.
Sonic train simulation.
It may not be possible in terms of dynamics, aerodynamics and track endurance, but it provided a dream and future experience I really enjoyed ;-)

Simulations seems very Realistic…. Thanks for the work… 🧡
Imagine if the ground seen from a cruise altitude airplane moved so quickly.... even in this case that speed would be nothing compared to the speed of light!

OMG , 1300km/h , what a crazy speed !
Imagination was good. I don't mind traveling at this speed in straight line but look at the curves of the track it scares the shift out of me. I can't stop imagining the G Force and flying off the track 😂😂😂
Yes, I had the same thought. The simulation was fun to watch and he did a brilliant job creating it. But the train would fly off those curves at that speed. _Big badda boom!_

I imagine that 400 CM wheels will bring this train into mach 1 at 27 rotation/second. It would bring peace of mind for any person who sits on top of it.
Wow, this simulation looks incredibly real. Phenomenal job, hats off to you, man !
That's because it IS real. Just sped upto mach 1. Still looks pretty cool with no noticeable visual artifacts
I thought it was real until I read your comment
Motion blur work makes it real
There are a couple of errors in the simulation.
Firstly, at speeds above Mach 1, it is impossible to hear the sound of the vehicle on which you are moving.
Secondly, due to the shock wave from supersonic movement, the houses around the railway should be slightly destroyed.
it does not look real for physicist
It feels strange... when the train began to slow down in some point I thought "Well, it's already at a safe and slow speed" then I looked at the speedo and it was still going 400 km/h
Its like when you have been doing 110-130 km/h on the motorway and you get off and have to drive 50 km/h in the city, its like you are moving only at walking speed, except you are not, of course
@@brianjuelpedersen6389 Agree
I think the simulation has some relative velocity errors. Cause at 350 kmph , it seemed like 150 kmph train
@@Abhinav-gu2ui I think the reason is that the train moves freely. I saw on the other video. The maximum speed was 120 km/h so I had to compare with the one of the vehicle on highway, it was quite similar.
You covered almost half Japan in some minutes 😂

Well, 800-900 kph don't feel like so fast especially when the train decelerates again. You can realize the objects passing by quickly. You can even see people standing at the in-between stations. I mean that is the cruising speed of commercial jetliners.
Can you even image the forces that the train and the train track would've been experiencing? Some of the turns in those speeds would've sent the train to the Moon's orbit.
That's what i was thinking.
I cracked up reading this😂
Well it would be a maglev train. So there would be no force/friction on the tracks.
That's why u can't go supersonic on ground level
legends say he is still going faster each day
My Wi-Fi couldn't catch up to this speed, Had to end it at 1000 kmph.
Imagine Japan build this train 20 years later 😂
20 years? i give them 5 starting from when this video was uploaded XD
Well, China is faster at this, no ugly comparison intended here. It’s just the political system and the incredibly large number of people which allows this fast building. But Japan is more innovative. So both countries have something pretty awesome to share with the world ! :)
