I am a researcher in Solid state technology in South Africa. If you are interested in bulk energy storage you are welcome to contact me or my partner. We are very close to finalizing our battery technology for mass production.

I hope for the best. I believe this technology is a game changer and I invested some money in the company. Keep up the hard work guys!

the data where zero pressure was applied on the 1 layer cell was just mind blowing! an extremely promising start, but the real achievement will be when the same performance can be achieved for multi layered cells with no pressure applied, at that point, its game over for trad battery chemistries

I have a dumb question based on a few other videos I've seen and what I'm assuming. When QuantumScape is showing the chart w/ 800 cycles does that mean that these batteries tested have a cycle life of 800 or can they actually keep going cycling to 1000, 2000 or even more? I'm only explicitly asking this because I've seen some videos where someone said Quantumscape batteries only last 500 cycles but I had assumed that the cycle life would far exceed 800 cycles and that the chart is just showing 800 cycles and that it retains 90% of total charge after that cycle amount. I think if your batteries do far exceed 800 cycles it would be awesome to stress this point in future videos and talks as some people are spreading false info saying your batteries will only last 100,000 miles?? Anyway, love the tech and I'm recently invested. Thanks for the video Tim!

I don’t think they’ll respond, but it sounds like bad information. The 500 number is made up and they should continue well past 800 cycles with the coloumbic efficiency shown. It should also last longer at the slowe real world charge and discharge rates. Beyond that, 800 charges should be a lot more than 100,000 miles. That’s a range of like 125 miles per charge. These batteries should be something like 50% longer range per pound than the current state of the art Tesla battery, so it is very unlikely they’ll go in cars with a range of 125 mi fully charged.

@@brianlewis5541 thank you for the reply. Good to hear about the cycles going way past 500.

If powerful quantum computers are built , we r then no longer limited by our small periodic table , we can create new elements tailored to our needs and uses cases

It's an awesome video but your company was founded 12 years ago. The science is great but are you going to actually produce something before you go bankrupt?
