Ron deserves a lot of credit for taking the meeting with Annabelle so Tom could get an intro. As much as he could not stand that woman, he took one for the team for the sake of his friend’s business.
And he did look somewhat considering when it was pointed out to him that all the nonsense is just to make money off idiots.
I mean he was also an investor in Tommy's closet so that was also a factor
that is what I have noticed. Ron likes business but will point out if it is a stupid one
@@jaredpierce8477 Right, that's what he was doing with the recorders he was selling that cult!
I think he understood that she is actually a good businesswoman.
"I love your hair."
"Thank you! It's genetic and unattainable." 😂😂
That line would fit Ron as well, just in another tone
“It’s f***ing milk” will never not be funny the way he delivers it 😂
That's how upfront everyone should be these days.
I agree lol
That was the only thing i found funny in this whole vid.
I like how Ron rejected vapid narcissistic influencers like we all should. 😂
@@marcuslong9761Then way to stick it out to the end, champ.
the first episode she was in aired 10 years ago. she was supposed to be a satirical version of influencers but this is what they're actually like now
She was small town Gwenyth Paltrow. Goop started as a newsletter 2008 if you can believe it.
Sounds like we binge watched our future
They were the same back then
Apparantly, today's influencers do not know this episode is the satire about being an influencer, not how to be one in real life. 🤦♂️🤦♀️🤦
one minute time machine
"Start over and speak differently."
I can only hope to channel Ron's gravitas when I use that line one day.
I legitimately channel Ron when I have to do public speaking, I'm a very anxious people-pleaser so a dash of Ron really balances that out:D
I geberally go with try again, but in english
You can begin by dropping the “gravitas”. “Gravitas”, pseudo-Latin, coined in 1920, is superfluous since it’s merely a pretentious (that is, phony) way of saying “gravity”. In other words, start over, and speak differently.
@@jeffburns4219 "Pretentious" is defined as "ostentatious" or "grandiose". There is no dictionary that defines it as "phony" as you've stated. For someone so concerned about the words other people use, it's ironic that you're not as careful with your own.
With every passing year I have a touch more Ron Swanson energy.
Use that energy for facial hair growth.
With every sip of whiskey and a slice of bacon I consume, the same thing happens to me.
He is within us all.
Embrace your inner Ron Swanson!!!
Libertarians unite!
I almost choked at "The Somebody's Daughter Dancers"
A built-in reminder.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
"...and locally sourced Italian flip flops" *Ron's mustache proceeds to have a seizure* haha
Putting Ron Swanson with someone like Annabelle Porter is just a goldmine of a comedy dynamic. Wish we got to see them together more often.
Total opposites but the twain did meet.
Totally agree! PandR was one of the rare shows who actually nailed it when they brought in new characters in the last season! I wish we got more seasons with the crazy new cast haha
thats the whole shtick with Chris. He is exactly like her, but genuine.
I like how Ron rejected vapid narcissistic influencers like we all should. 😂
Whoever played Annabelle Porter did an excellent job. I felt the need to slap through the screen
Erin Hayes, she's one of those regular guest star actors, plus she had a show for 8 seasons called "Children's Hospital."
And a pretty funny Netflix show called Medical Police
@@ElizabethT45 Children's Hospital is one of those shows that a weirdly large number of recognizable names have been on. It's great
She's hilarious in everything. It's too bad she didn't appear more on Parks and Rec.
If I remember correctly she is a Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop parody.
This party no longer is, it was.
Such a funny line
She could have just left, but she had to ruin everyone else's good time to make a dramatic exit..
An 'oat wedge' or a 'seaweed lozenge'. I am dying. I recall her showing Ron the newest craze that she will be marketing - 'beef milk'.
“It’s f*cking milk. 🤨”
You recall it from seeing it in this very video to the moment you commented about it? Incredible memory, my dude!
@@92brunod Well, I made the comment before the video ended. I realized afterward that they included that one as well.
Influencers: The only people who will tell you that you can survive off of ONE MINT every 2 hours
Ron sitting all rigid and awkward on Joan's show is brilliant.
“Did that woman call my chair delicious?” 😂😂
“Conflict-Free Paella”
Who’s fighting over paella!? 😂
It was actually a conflict paella recipe lol, even worse.
I think the Cage-Free Olive Oil people are at the heart of darkness on that one.
I'm from Valencia, where paella is originated from and I can tell you that paella is a great cause of fights over here. I'm not lying. Every family has its own recipee and are often disgusted when other families use different ones. Not being able to cook a proper paella is often a motive of mockery here. Even more, there are multiple paella contests thru the year and even the government has tried to recognize a universal paella recipee to have it declared culturally. 😂😂😂
@@jo_jo_jo as a Filipino who grew up around paella, this is understandable - paella is delicious
One of the key spices of Paella is saffron. 88% of saffron in the world is grown in Iran. You can tie a lot of things to conflict if you try.
Everything about this woman fills me with rage. Spot on job by the actor.
and there are those who wants to be her.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles...she's in every office in Beverly Hills. It's too accurate.
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Tom’s influencer translation
another perfect example of why parks and rec is so brilliant. the characters are so well-rounded, specific and thought-out. when the personality paths cross it is so so excellent
"apology accepted, and I have no reaction to anything else you said" 😂
Why does Ron Swanson gets more relatable and funnier every day? He is a fictional character alright but he is fictional national treasure.
Probably because every day you're one day closer to become Ron Swanson. Good job.
Because media literacy is dead and you don't realize how awful you are becoming
@@mathinho1237 if only you'd realize the irony of your comment. Absolutely, media literacy is dead. 🤦♂️
"Come with me, as we binge watch the future". That might be the deepest line in the history of television
"Teet to table beef milk", hahahaha. I think I'm going to binge watch this show all over again. The one liners are hilarious.
It’s crazy how many times Ron has achieved a societal success and simply did not want it
Crazy enough it’s because he’s real
There’s about 107 jokes going on here and I couldn’t keep up. The writing is screaming hot.
I agree with Ron, this is my nightmare and her company and building is my hell.
The way Ron looks when Annabelle says "locally sourced Italian flipflops" 7:55 😂
Cage free olive oil lol genius
An oat wedge of a seaweed lozenge... Phenomenal scripting and acting
I really want to hate this woman, but anyone who manages to convince people to buy regular milk for 60 dollars a gallon, rather than 3 and get away with it has hustling down to an art and you kinda have to respect that. Like Donna said: 'This woman knows business.' She doesn't have a product of her own or even anything that's new, but she becomes a local celebrity just by telling people how to live and getting them to actually take her serious.
Gotta respect the hustle
I will never stop laughing at “beef milk”
She exploits and manipulates people, and supports slave like working conditions. She ain’t a hustler. She’s a malignant capitalist.
Then go sell insurance. The worst of the worst offenders of do nothing “work.”
You do realize that this is just a TV show right? These are all just characters being played by actors.
@2:54 "Make it a rustic accent piece in your solarium. Even better, make it a focal point in your yoga tent."
"Rustic". "Accent piece". "Solarium". "Yoga". Ron's glare at her at this moment could cut diamonds.
"What is Bloosh?" It was a perfect Jeopardy reference just waiting to happen.
"Start over, and speak differently."
Basically me talking to my 13 year old nephew.
Is he VP of Cool New Shizz?
@@edoboleyn he thinks he is. Wont shut up about Skibidi Toilet.
was "bloosh" and annabel porter a parody of "goop" and gwyneth paltrow? I never noticed it till today
very much so
Always thought it was
Yes but also the small town (but often rich) lifestyle influencers I think
Ron recoiling in subtle disgust at being touched at 2:43 😂
💀💀
Cage-free olive oil got me😂
6:30 winning a pulitzer price for best top 10 listicle is such an underrated and hilarious line
I have an aunt like Annabel Porter who runs a "lifestyle blog & coven". I find the content she makes absolutely ridiculous but she's making 6-7 figures depending on the year so I can't say anything 😅
Things like that are more about the community and experience than the products. It’s not important to understand it, just that it makes sense to the people involved and they’re not harming anyone or themselves
I mean, 6-7 figures now that just means there's some kinda audience for it
Good for her but I've yet to see someone topping that guy who sold that "canvas" where all he did is attached a banana with a duct tape and sold it for few hundred thousands dollars to a millionaire art collector. I was both traumatized and impressed.
Yes you can. You don't have to suck up to people just because they make money, you know?
I love Ron flatly reading those cards Donna gave him.😂 I want to see a whole show of him trying to read slang/abbreviations and just trying to figure out what the hell he’s actually saying.😂
I also don’t blame Donna and Tom for trying to grab all the swag they can before they leave.😅
Nothing makes me laugh like Ron saying “O-M-Squee” completely deadpan.
"It's genetic and unattainable"
The next time someone tells me they like anything about my hair
"I prefer quality over flash. That's why i refused to write in cursive" - Ron 5:12
"Here's a point of sale document. Please sign it in cursive, it raises a lot of red flags if you don...." - Ben
"No" - Ron 6:39
“The Somebody’s Daughters Dancers”😆😆😆
Love whoever came up with this.
"The Somebody's Daughters Dancers!" 😆
"I regret everything." LMAO
Ron Swanson's mortal enemy is Ron Dunn
Done & Dunn?
@@thelonewolf7443 both
Like Reed Richards and Victor VonDoom. So much in common yet a mirror’s image in morality . Batman and joker on obsessed with chaos the other with order and then the Rons. Separated by a need for love of mankind and nitre that love and the other to be independent of if and understand life is harsh and to be guarded
It's scary how much this has become even more relevant to our current day.
Tbf it was super relevant when it premiered too, I remember
The only scary thing is that you just discovered it’s relevance. It’s been around for generations
This is happening for centuries and will happen for as long as Humanity Exists
When satire has become a real life practical joke
The satire on this show was S-tier.
As I get older I relate more and more with Ron
damn man. If only they secretly filmed 10 extra seasons of this show and released it all today.
Toddler cologne: Baby, You smell good!
Whoever wrote this knows what his job was.
"Start over and speak differently" Im definitely using that one in the future.
Ron has a surprising amount of mortal enemies.
Is it really surprising though? He's very opinionated, rigid, stubborn person
@damic3237 , yes it is, because the strongest of Ron's beliefs is that people should live the way they want. Regardless of whether he agrees with their way, or not.
Ron's face in this scene is absolute gold 😂
There is more than one scene in this video that has Ron's face in it...
"I regret everything" needs to be a meme. So many of Ron's lines are gold
I'd like to listen to a conversation between Annabelle Porter and Gwyneth Paltrow
It would be like batman vs Bruce Wayne
Same
Finally a worthy opponent. Their battle shall be legendary
Ron Swanson is one bad day away from becoming a Klingon.
Gary Knox Bennett was a real dude. Best deep cut comedy reference ever
Ron must’ve REALLY wanted to torpedo Leslie’s event if he teamed up with Annabel Porter and Tom in order to do so.
"Somebody's daughter-dancers" killed me
"Seaweed lozange" lol😅
I am totally stealing the "thank you, it's genetic and unnatentable lol😂
"Teat to table" for "Beef Milk". Awesome!
I thought Ron’s mortal enemy is his second ex-wife.
He has a list.
Everybody is Ron's mortal enemy. It's the defining characteristic of Libertarians.
Ron being a capitalist must be having an internal struggle because he likes money but his craft is important.
I thought he was a libertine?
That is literally capitalism I don’t get what is the conflict
@@BenDavidin5784 he got Ron's political affiliation wrong
Capitalism allows for endless growth, which is how we have 6 conglomerates that own everything. Companies dont even have owners. Theyre owned by investors, so no one is accountable. Politicians pretty much rely on donors, so goodbye representation. The media also relies on advertisers, which kills journalism. Its a complicated system, but it still very much a dictatorship.
@@BenDavidin5784 Capitalism means economies of scale of mass products will always beat niche companies and craft. So yes, there's a conflict.
Donna is so epic! Her face when Ron said, “What is Bloosh?” 😂
I remember being obsessed with the line: Come with me as we binge watch, the future!
"I regret everything" makes me so happy every time
"someone's getting a new leather jacket."
"I-don't-want-a-leather-jacket."
"-it's for me! 🥳😊"
So smooth how she picked that up! 😂
Donna truly knows how to live
Somebody's Daughter dance crew is so out of pocket
9:51, Somebody's daughter dance group..lol
Start over and speak differently is an excellent line which I will be using at work in the near future.
"She's legit. She spent four months living in Kate Bosworth's pool house."
The “somebody’s daughter” dance squad is so on the nose 😂😂😂
'conflict-free paella' had me dying
"Baby, *ch ch* You smell gooood." 😎
😂
I'm sorry but I keep replaying @2:43, Rons reaction is killing me 🤣
I have never hated a character more than Annabelle Porter other than the people that listen to her or like her on the show
But it’s hand-strained teet-to-table beef milk! I mean come on!
It's from real cows!
What about ryan from the office
What about Jeffrey Baratheon
@peepinR still hate ryan more than him
Annabelle Porter be giving Goop vibes! 😭
I’m proud to say that my dad is most likely the man they based Ron Swanson on.
"The Somebody's Daughters dancers". LOL
For a supposed dumpster fire of a town, Pawnee seems to have a lot of cool stuff going on. Or is this after the merger?
Most dumpster fire towns have cool things going on. The chaos gives birth to genius and destruction
These clips were mostly, if not all, after the merger.
**beef milk**
Annabelle Porter embodies every single person that frequented the coffee shop I used to work at. Barf.
It is so great how Ron hears them talking, but he just cannot make sense of their words.
“Mozambique cashmere, IS THE NEW CAST IRON STOVE”
"We are going to put Swanson chairs in every six-bedroom home in the Midwest."
Okay but “Come with me, as we binge watch, the Future” is a hard line
@8:42 Ron calling Jerry Terry, followed by Ben calling Jerry Terry. 🤣🤣
Magnus will be Ron's jacket or owner of all his stuff.
Donna's booyah is legend
Not Joan yelling at everyone to SHUT UP when no one was talking. 😂 I love her so much 🤣
One of the rare cases where Ron is very sympathetic.
"Polishing my Oyster forks with a Cage-Free Olive Oil" and "Locally Sourced Italian Flip Flops" is WILD LOL
Sorry I’m late for our coven, I was polishing my oyster forks with a cage free olive oil rub
"The somebody's daughter dancers"... that is genius!!
Lmao, the "somebody's daughter dancers"...
Seeing Beef Milk at £60 feels like the phrase "seelling ice to eskimos"
I like that bloosh was supposed to parody goop but then kourtney kardashian came out with poosh which sounds even more like bloosh than goop and now it can parody both
"The Somebody's Daughter Dancers" omg hahaa
