  • Energy density - the amount of energy that can be stored in a particular space or weight - is one of the most valuable ways to assess the quality of a battery. Yet, as with every other aspect of batteries, it’s not as straightforward as it may sound.
    QuantumScape's Will Hudson, VP of Product, and Audi’s Peter Juris, High-Voltage Battery Systems Concept Lead, discuss energy density in this conversation moderated by CMO Asim Hussain. They review the basics and discuss how energy density can be optimized to meet consumer demands for high-performance electric vehicles.

    Good, basic primer on energy storage (water analogy) and energy density.
    BUT, how is QS doing on meeting thier milestones? Give us a progress update!!

    I realize that automotive is the primary target, but is there any effort towards home or industrial tool use. That will also be a huge market.

    When will QS able to mass produce solid state battery for cars?

      They don't care when, because they don't even have a plan in regards to when and where.

      2024, next year we will see the outcomes of commercial testing. So I would say Q4 2024 is possible but if it goes to 2025, I can wait. Get the product right

    Batteries are only an electron storage device. A water splitting reaction that creates a Hydrogen + Oxygen reaction is the ideal reaction. The electrolysis reaction takes more energy than it produces, therefore a non-starter. The Nobel Prize winner ‘Negative Refractive Indexed Meta Materials’ (NRIMM), holds the answer to this ideal water-splitting reaction. The “crux” of this reaction is the (NRIMM) form of Bismuth ferrite. This synthetic material has the ability to absorb a weak infrared wave field to a giant plasmonic photogalvanic Ultraviolet epsilon naught, water splitting field. This can take place in a solar cell electron harvesting or as a non-ideal plasma field.

    how did you store ions without any anode materials. Is there any Tech behind it, why the other batteries didnt try this?

    Will the volume expansion in anode cause a problem? How about this "no anode"compared to Ion storage's anode with porous ceramic structure?

    ProLogium is producing its solid state batteries now in its first massive factory in Taiwan. How and when QS CAN CATCH UP?
    Second factory is being built now in France. This kind of media event is meaningless when I , as a shareholder , see no efforts from your company which should be focusing on solving manufacturing problems tirelessly. We don't need to know the details of how your solid state battery works. We have moved way past that. For people who still don't belive, we should not waste our time for them. For me, this video shows me how slacking you guys really are since you don't even know your priority...

      @@emorox836 so quality is not there yet... ProLogium spent 10 years to refine its production lines and QS Is literally ten years behind, if QS still think "you don't need to catch up", I will dump my 19 thoussnd shares soon.

      @acegjump go ahead and dump your shares lol. They have quality, they need to be able to reproduce said quality at scale where 99% of the batteries they produce are equally as excellent.
      Qs only needs to capture 10% of the market of new cars to have a revenue of 72 billion and at a 10% margin generate 7.2 billion in profit.
      At their current market cap they'll be at a .5 p/e ratio. If they trade at the absolute value of their current p/e ratio that would be a 14x in stock price.

      @emorox836 where and when QS is going to manufacture its battery? I don't even see a plan. Or is there one forecasted? ‘’99% excellence" already??? What are they waiting for? So QS IS only aiming for 10%of the market share?? Good lord what a lion's share! It will probably be one percent leftovers to capture. Good luck. Let me remind you , one more chinese company is producing ssb now in mainland China. And rumors here in Taiwan said that Mercedes will announce its ssb power ev later this year...
