Some people may call these new watches unoriginal or boring, but they are my favorite release from W&W. Super cool, modern, masculine design and amazing new colors
Yes I've already contacted my local IWC boutique...and hope to have a 41 Ceratanium asap.....and that bracelet looks awesome. The no scratch aspect is very desirable as well. Great job!!
I saw this video last year and fell for the Chrono on the full Ceratanium bracelet (2:55 mark)... but I've only ever seen it sold on the rubber/canvas strap. The Perpetual Calendar comes on the Ceratanium bracelet... but that's a different beast altogether. Anyone hear if the Chrono w/ bracelet is available?
People are sleeping on IWC. I picked up the Ceratanium Mercedes-AMG pilot about a month ago, it’s unbelievable. I picked up the Lake Tahoe Pilot last week, also amazing. So cool and unique. Finally, I’m going to check out the Desert Mojave 41 that my AD brought in from IWC directly for me specifically. Likely buying that too 🤷♂️ I’m sick… IWC is doing some incredible innovation. I sold off my Rolex watches to go hard into IWC by the way… I just got bored of the coronet, sorry!
It’s surprising indeed because only the reference iw388106 (41mm ceratanium on rubber strap) seems to be available… it seems that IWC actually never released the version on ceratanium bracelet
Ceratanium has the same mechanical properties as titanium. It's actually a titanium case that later undergoes a specific treatment that gives it ceramic properties. But the base is titanium, so not brittle!
Most attention from IWC and the reviewers seem to go to the case, dial, crystal. Everyone seems to be a little bit coy on the details of the movement. Does the 69385 utilize a vertical clutch and a free-sprung balance? All of us real chronograph aficionados want to know…
The verdict is still out on the clutch but according to details on IWC's website the balance uses index regulation instead of being a free-sprung balance.
Ceratanium is cool for sure but that Top Gun movie logo - yikes! and, do you really need Pantone to develop white, black, tan and olive green? Combine that combined with these manufactured stories of 'inspiration' and a musical score by a film composer ?! Huh - IWC is really pushing the marketing b.s here - jeez!
Wait? They want to sell they’re watches so they are finding creative ways to sell them? SHOCKING. It’s almost like no other watch company does this… Ridiculous perspective. The watches standup on their own as being extremely unique compared to what others are putting out. IWC is doing incredible things from an innovation standpoint. But hey, Rolex released a new colour way for their GMT.

Ceratamium bracelet…:looking forward to trying this one on!
Me too but I am afraid that this bracelet might be more expensive than the watch itself
@@vincentschneuwly9783 It most certainly will be at least as expensive as the watch itself 😭

I noticed the price for the 41er ceratanium went up from CHF 11.9k to CHF 13k after 2 days. does anyone know why? is it because of the breacelet?
does anyone know whether the 41er ceratinium is also limited?
0:13 Oh my God it's Hans Zimmer!! So Cool!!
What is the reference number for the 41 mm with the Ceratanium bracelet? Can't find it anywhere!

is ceratanium brittle like ceramic or will it be able to take knocks?

@@Monochrome-watches thank you for your prompt reply. Much appreciated
The "ceratanium" bracelet looks sharp. I wish the white "Lake Tahoe" was available in a smaller size (e.g., 41mm).
The bracelet is actually quite comfortable on the wrist.
👍

@@Monochrome-watches yikes. I had a feeling that’s why they give such limited details on the movement. Thanks for the reply.
