@@The-Singularity-X01 Hes actually right. Turn A is the convergence point of all gundam timelines/universes. Its actual canonical gundam lore. Like, we see some UC equipment show up in Turn A, as well as visions later in Turn A displayed in a fight between the Turn A and Turn X, depicting events during Wing, and X, and I believe G? But could be wrong there. It may be upsetting and you may not like it, but that metal mustache is what peak gundam performance looks like. Honestly, as someone who doesn't enjoy other serieses as much as the Universal Century, and even iffy on things like Unicorn/Narrative, I am 100% okay with the Turn A canon of all gundam universes collapsing into a singularity and the Turn A and Turn X being the apex of technology. It diffuses all the "Who is the strongest? Barbatos? Exia? God gundam?" to just being "Turn A, Turn A is the strongest, no discussion, no argument. Like whatever one you like, Turn A is there to close the book before people start getting mad about disagreements"
It was stated that only a newtype could fully bring out the Turn A's full potential, I wonder if that implies that it is capable of doing the same weird stuff the Unicorn Gundams were able to do if it had the right pilot controlling it. That would be terrifying lol Also, I feel like it would definitely be able to beat the crystallized Unicorn if it was in the state it was during the Dark History, especially if you put whoever it was that was piloting it during that time into consideration. The pilot was able to viciously beat the Turn X, which was supposed to be far superior spec wise, so badly to the point where it's auto repair systems weren't able to fix it and it permanently changed the Turn X's appearance. Whoever that pilot was, they were definitely an absolute monster.
No, it wouldn't. The Unicorn could literally fuck with time, it has neither been stated/implied or show that the Turn A could come even close to that level of hax. Also in regards to your later bit about the Turn A beating the X, its regularly shown across all the Gundam timelines that the suit isn't 'that' important of a factor, its mostly up to the pilot to make the best of the machine. So we could assume that the pilot of the Turn A at that time was MUCH more competent than the pilot of the Turn X.
@@The-Singularity-X01 Its not canon to animation, but in SD Gundam G-Generation Genesis, the Turn A (Dark History) is the ultimate challenge (its stats also dwarf the crystal unicorn's by magnitudes) and it is seen generating perfect copies of MS (Including the Unicorn) Not canon, take from it what you will, but as Sunrise is now Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Bandai-Namco was 100% fine having it do those things in game, that could be somewhat telling. It also depends on how you want to interpret it, but seeing as newtype based weapons like psycommu technology are on a steady decline post Unicorn, and units like the F91 are capable of nearly FTL speeds (Leaving afterimages with mass) that the Unicorn, while impressive, does ultimately fall into obsolescence canonically. Its not like the Unicorn was a one of a kind fluke, they built three of them, but we don't see anything resembling them going forward. And the Turn A falls into the weird "if its not explicitly stated that the Turn A can't do a thing, then its on the table." A bigger question is what to do with G-Reco, as its in a vague schrodinger position of being both 500 years after the universal century (according to the crew working on it and sunrise at the time of release) and 500 years after Turn A (according to Tomino, but Tomino can also be notoriously moody and spiteful, so its entirely possible he decided this just to muddy the waters and make things difficult for Sunrise)

Gundam is mechanical god. It's funny how the first intention of Gundam series is to make more realistic robot compared with other super robot. But at the end, it become the most super robot with supernatural power ( turn A, double o, qanta, g series, all unicorn varians)
Turn A is very different. Gundam always had super natural power in its theme, even back in 0079 with new type. The UC gundam plot has always been about the conflicts between space and earth, and became more tensed due to number of new types pilots. But its also their ability to sense and use psycho power that can save the world (sometimes) The real difference between turn A series and double o gundam is that turn A and X represent nukes, while some other non UC gundams are more like fancy robot show. (Except unicorn which gets pretty ridiculous)
Once they started exploring psycommu systems it was only a matter of time till the energy produced by them mixed with nano machines that are basically bits controlled automatically could destroy everything. We see just the raw power from these systems can move asteroids and block colony lasers. Given how far in the future Turn A gundam is... its probably the most terrifying "real" world gundam created.
It’s not really supernatural, it’s just technology that is so advanced that it’s beyond comprehension to the industrial revolution like age that people have developed to.
The Turn A is a unique gundam not just because of it's design but it's power aswell. It gives true meaning to the phrase "appearances can be deceiving". This is the true butterfly effect.
Something to point out about the movie that a lot of people graze over with this scene. Turn A was able to recreate Amuro's axis shock by draining the Earth's life force, heavily hinting that it can potentially recreate any of the psycommu miracles. And secondly, Turn A's psycommu powered MLB affected two spirits (Amuro and Lalah) and threw them through time
when you thought gundam UC line is real robot show, turns out its a super robot show with dark magic ability with a dictionary thick book to support its mechanical basis of argument
It already shows Super robot feats by Zeta with Kamille using the souls of the dead. Then CCA with Axis shock and Unicorn going beyond the time and so. There is of course the G-Gundam which is DBZ + Gundam.
The difference between Real and Super robots can get murky. The best way to understand it is that Super robots are characters in their own right and like super heroes. In contrast, Real robots are military equipment, and while people can form an attachment with it, its more akin to a tank or fighter craft than another character in the show. How the original Mobile Suit Gundam treated the titular RX-78-2 Gundam and other mecha was radically different compared to the previous Super robot anime of the past, and spawned the Real robot anime genre. Some anime take it even further into realism like VOTOMS, while others take more fantastical elements and magic like Aura Battler Dunbine. It's how the mecha are treated in the anime which determines which side of the line it stands on as Super vs Real.
IIRC The pilot throw it into magma after reset the world, but then Turn A survive due to self-recover. Which later found in Turn A series cover with cobblestone
So far, excluding any 'space magic'(to my knowledge) the only weapon that could PROBABLY counteract this would be the G-Self Perfect Pack Photon Torpedo, SOLEY for the fact that it uses f ing ANTIMATER and once the nanomachines dissolved it's crystal structure prison would just EXPLODE
@@mctristandelossantos978 Something I don't get... The upside-down A in Turn A's classification number ("System-∀99 ∀ Gundam") is read aloud as "Turn A", hence why it's called that. So how can you have a Turn X? Think about it.

turn A Is literally the warhammer 40k of gundams. a god machine, from the golden age of humanity. one day whoever was the pilot woke up and choose violence against the solar system then sat the big boy down on the side of a mountain where it became a deity for a local tribe of humans after thousands of years.
And God, seeing the chaos of humanity, said: “Very well, I will wipe the slate clean.” And so, Turn A came down from the heavens and erased everything with his butterfly wings
I hope someone answers this but why did the turn A Gundam use the Moonlight Butterfly on the whole world in the first place? Did it go out of control or did the pilot purposely do it? And if so for what reason?
It all started because of the discovery of Turn X, which was created by extrasolar humans who possessed technologies far advanced than what the Earth sphere had at that time. The humans in the Earth sphere feared of invasion by this civilization and reverse engineered the Turn X's system and tech (it was likely only a partial success, which would explain their mad plan after this), and combined them with their best tech to make the Turn A. Sometime after this, two forces in the Earth sphere formed, the Earthlings who owned the Turn A wanted to reset and restart civilization, and the Moonrace with their Turn X (according the Official Gundam Perfect File, Turn X was deployed by the Moonrace to fight against the powers of the Earth in the final conflict towards the end of Dark History) opposed this and argued that they should instead further advance their own tech. These two forces started a war that ended with Turn X losing and Turn A erasing the civilizations on Earth. The Turn A and X were then buried in the mountain cycles on the Earth and the Moon, respectively and they would stay buried until the events in the Turn A Gundam.
@@thedeadman4481 It's ironic I'd say, because the invasion that they feared never did come, and it was their own paranoia that brought them to their doom. But who knows, maybe it was their true intention all along because in the end, it stopped all wars within the Earth sphere, and humanity can finally live in peace, for 2345 years at least.

For anyone still wondering bout the lore after the Unicorn stuff was released, just Treat the Turn A like Kamen Rider treats Decade and Zi-O. Even if theoretically they can be beaten by newer stuff they would retroactively get the same power and win. In the case of the Turn A since its Dark Century happened years after stuff like 00's movie, Unicorn and even Witch from Mercury(technically we can even treat it as a precursor the the moonlight butterfly) are all included in the Turn A. Its just going to be moved AFTER the events of all those series to make sense in canon
Light of Life Chronicle, 40 mins or so, pays homage to all the gundam shows; also showed some early footage of Hathaway's Flash and the Moon Gundam Manga. Story wise Amuro and Lala's newtype ghosts view turn-a ending the universal century, amuro feels like everything he fought for was for nothing but lala shows that while humanity will rise again and make the same mistakes again and again (the alternate gundam stories) eventually humanity will break the cycle (Turn-A it's self). Basically it just adds the new shows to the Dark History, implying Turn-A has been resetting human civilization after every gundam series.
I was wonder if Moonlight Butterfly destroys things in the Dark History as well as for combat. What if it is like the Phoenix force in Marvel, recreating new things while destroying old things. Also SYSTEM ∀-99 ∀ Gundam's "Moonlight Butterfly" are nanomaterial and ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam's Full Burst Lightning Mode and Nanoparticle Shield Technology are nanoparticle. How would they effect each other when they meet?
So if turn A gundam is convergent event, crossroad of all timeline, then what happened to human colony ship in gundam 00? Isnt they are sent to explore the galaxy and visit ELS homeworld? What happen to them then? Isnt turn A moonlight butterfly power only cover distance between earth and jupiter only?
Wow bait gundam. Now its unicorn vs turn a in comments. Mind you even though unicorn can magically bend time, this suit is made to be the last one in the uc timeline and that speaks for it self

That would be terrifying lol
Also, I feel like it would definitely be able to beat the crystallized Unicorn if it was in the state it was during the Dark History, especially if you put whoever it was that was piloting it during that time into consideration.
@@The-Singularity-X01 Its not canon to animation, but in SD Gundam G-Generation Genesis, the Turn A (Dark History) is the ultimate challenge (its stats also dwarf the crystal unicorn's by magnitudes) and it is seen generating perfect copies of MS (Including the Unicorn)
Not canon, take from it what you will, but as Sunrise is now Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Bandai-Namco was 100% fine having it do those things in game, that could be somewhat telling.
And the Turn A falls into the weird "if its not explicitly stated that the Turn A can't do a thing, then its on the table."
A bigger question is what to do with G-Reco, as its in a vague schrodinger position of being both 500 years after the universal century (according to the crew working on it and sunrise at the time of release) and 500 years after Turn A (according to Tomino, but Tomino can also be notoriously moody and spiteful, so its entirely possible he decided this just to muddy the waters and make things difficult for Sunrise)
@@The-Singularity-X01 the Turn-A Gundam is meant for Interstellar warfare, its efective range is about the solar system, it can teleport the beams from its rifle directly into the enemy cockpit, even with all of that in mind, the Turn X, from where they reversed engineered the Turn A was a mere construction MS, the equivalent of a Ball for the Newtype civilization. we'll never know which is the most powerful MS.

These are stated to be demonstrations of "spatial transfer" (空間転移) according to the book "100% Newtype collection Turn A Gundam Vol. 2" (ニュータイプ 100% COLLECTION ∀ガンダム VOL.2).
But its also their ability to sense and use psycho power that can save the world (sometimes)
The real difference between turn A series and double o gundam is that turn A and X represent nukes, while some other non UC gundams are more like fancy robot show. (Except unicorn which gets pretty ridiculous)
@@etismyname turn A and turn x are basically punishment for humanity
Once they started exploring psycommu systems it was only a matter of time till the energy produced by them mixed with nano machines that are basically bits controlled automatically could destroy everything.
Some anime take it even further into realism like VOTOMS, while others take more fantastical elements and magic like Aura Battler Dunbine.

the pilot did
It all started because of the discovery of Turn X, which was created by extrasolar humans who possessed technologies far advanced than what the Earth sphere had at that time.
@@damoncheong4333 well that's just horrible and depressing.

Light of Life Chronicle, 40 mins or so, pays homage to all the gundam shows; also showed some early footage of Hathaway's Flash and the Moon Gundam Manga.
