    I saw that other video too where he used a socket/spacer as a stop. After many years of working on Japanese cars and being a dealership Honda/Yamaha mechanic, I got into the habit of taking off my wrist watch after trashing a couple of them. Thanks for the good video. - Matt

    Metric socket head cap screws are usually grade 10.9 or 12.9.

    Hello, I loved your video, a question regarding the shock absorbers, it is necessary to replace the originals to raise 3” or you can keep the same

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  Год назад +2

      You don’t have to replace originals but it will have them maxed out most likely. The ride quality is very stiff on mine and I have the higher bilstein shocks. I may end up doing a 4 inch suspension lift to bring my ride quality back though.

    hola buenas tardes te saludos desde argentina, te hago una consulta que espesor tiene el suplemento que colocas? es necesario sustituir los amortiguadores por unos mas largos? gracias

    • @paulsperformance

      Hello, this was a 2 inch spacer I think. Also you don’t have to replace them but they will be maxed out and ride quality will be very stiff. It’s best to change them out to keep proper operation and prevent wear on the shocks as when they are maxed out they can wear a lot quicker or even break.

      Thank you very much for responding, I am trying to design something similar for my 1980 Toyota pickup, the system is almost identical to that. Greetings

    So what size tyres 🤔 and did the spacer give any lift you did not show ,

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  Год назад

      These are 33x12.50 and yes the spacers gave it enough to not rub with this setup where it was rubbing on hard turn before.

    Did you change the grease nipples to straight ones as it would be hard to the gun onto them with the spacers?

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  Год назад

      Yeah I keep an assortment of fittings in my shop. Straight is a must once these go in unless you don’t have the grease fittings

    Nice looking truck. Any issues with the stock-height bilsteins and a lift?

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  Год назад

      No issues with the lift install but ride quality is definitely worse pretty stiff. I’m thinking of getting a suspension lift instead to bring the ride quality back. They rode very good though before the lift stiffened the control arm.

    Hey bro i install these spacers a couple days ago. How is ur working?

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  11 месяцев назад +1

      They are still fine. Only complaint is a stiffer ride quality.

      How so?
      Did u take up the torsion bar higher?
      Or
      It's lower with the same height n stiffer?

  • @cuongandmari
    @cuongandmari 19 дней назад

    So, the spacer thickness really not 3" because the bolts that came with it are 3". I ordered the 3" spacer kit and the spacer thickness is 1.5" and the bolts are 3". I am not sure why it called or advertised as 3" spacer.

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  18 дней назад

      For this truck I believe it’s advertised as 3” because ones the spacer is in place and you crank up the torsion bars it can be 3 inch’s of lift after that plus alignment.

    Could you do a swap for me just like yours?

    • @paulsperformance
      @paulsperformance  9 месяцев назад

      It’s quite a project. I could do it again but it would be pricey. If you don’t have time or resources to do a swap on your own I would suggest checking the TDI swap groups for people selling there’s and buy one with the work done. Likely they are taking a loss on what they have in the swap anyways. It also doesn’t help that Toyotas like these are skyrocketing in price. Currently this swap just isn’t very plug and play yet like an LS swap with chevys or 2.7 or 3.4 swap in a pickup is.
