Coop thanks for the sagacious insights as always. Btw, your moustache has become borderline legendary, you’re verging on Brimley/Selleck territory mate
Many thanks for this great video. In fact, 50mm is my favorite focal length. Currently I use Summilux 50mm f1.4 and Voigtländer APO Lanthar 50mm F2. I am planning to get the Thypoch Eureka as well, as I believe it might give the photos different look. What do you think?
As Australia reverberates from the Adam Britton case, its just a relief watching a low key mellow Coop doing an informal review of yet another 50mm lens. Theres just way too many options and price seems to always come up as a determinant. Theres always the second hand market for those that don’t want to buy new. My personal all time hall of fame favourite is the 50mm summicron F/2. So much so i bought 2 of ‘em. Hang loose Coop and stay ahead of the madness
great video, thanks for sharing. You totally answer one of my questions, I have a M4 and that's primary what i would adapt this lens to, I'm a 50mm shooter so this lens would be prefect and such a great price. Thanks again.
I felt like a comparison to the current summicron was unfair, the V5cron just smokes it in every way. But it ought too for price 😂 I’ve got the LLL 50elcan coming next, I’m going to compare those two
Honestly? These thypoch lenses blow me away. Very smooth rendering and bokeh, great sharpness but not clinically sharp. As soon as they release a 50 with 1.4 or faster, I‘ll buy one. Great review! Beautiful photos!

I like brass.
It matches my bells.

Yeah, I hate that focus lock as well, any chance it’s removable?
No unfortunately
Nice review!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice review. Would be nice to compare this to the 50 elmar m and current summicron. Just wished they had a black anodized version.

Why are all these Portrait and Street reviews complaining about an infinite lock that you should never shoot at.
I think it was the Elmar (not Elmarit) lenses that are collapsible, if I recall, I might be wrong.
