Wonderful night shots. So happy to see videos of trains in their larger environment and not just 3/4 views of passing trains.
Wow phenomenal !!! Awesome shots from locations and angles that I've never seen anyone attempt, brilliant ! Loved the night shots and the meet in San Bernardino , fantastic ! Thanks for you're hard work and dedication to quality.

Another visual masterpiece Jake, well worth all that hiking. Keep up the great work.
The overhead aerial type shots really show how much curvature really is in the Tehachapi mountain railroads. They are great shots too. Nice catches and thanks for sharing your work.
Thanks for all that hiking up and down those hills to get those Schmollinger shots! Very nicely done.
You are a genius when it comes to placement for these shots! I grew up chasing trains with my father and these videos bring back some incredible memories of driving over old US 40 and down the Feather River Canyon in a 1972 Bronco with no top on. I never got to experience Southern California trains. Thank you for doing this!
Fabulous night views at San Bernardino !!!!!! Some , if not the best I have ever seen!!! Great work!!!
Your extreme mountain railroading videos are totally awesome. I've watched them all multiple times. Takes some dedication to get these shots and that is appreciated.
Absolutely superb as usual and yet more different spots!
Absolutely Astonishing! The shots and viewpoints you created were SICK! Great Work!
I always appreciate shots of Allard, Cliff, Rowen and The Narrows as it's a bit of a hike to get there. Great aerial
shots. Gives a good feel of the overall Tehachapi experience.
You have the Most Amazing video clips I have seen covering the Western part of the US. Great 👍 job and thanks!
Just fantastic work. Beautiful shots and action! Thanks!
WOW. Nice video! Colors and scenery! Well done! I haven't been in southern California in the spring for several years.. i miss the smells of spring, like magnolias, citrus blooms, and oil refineries.. Don't laugh, the combination is a memory that I miss.
Awesome video, fantastic shots!
Great video PHX! This one may be your best yet.
Amazing video. Thanks for posting!
Great long distance camera work. Gives people an idea what the railroad was up against in trying to conquer the mountains.
Your videos are amazing, Jake. Keep em coming!.
:-D
You make the best videos in this genre!
Awesome work and some great hiking
When i was in the Caliente and Bealville are in late 2020, it was so smokey/smoggy some days, you couldn't see but a couple miles. I definitely need to get there in the spring like you did.
Really enjoyable, thank you for building these video's, I KNOW how much time it takes! Hours into minutes..:)
Fantastic photography and great sounds!! Just like being there in-person. THANKS !! - Dean from flat Minnesota
Stunning: scene, trains, sound, cut and slow movements. A masterpiece of film art. Greetings from Germany

Excelente video!!
Saludos.
Nice and no wind noise on the mic.
Danke!
Loved the video. Truly some very rare angles from Cliff, Marcel.
Looked like the railroads still have some problems with 'straight-lining' as evidenced by the center-beam flats going off the rails (at about 78min).
However how did the tri-levels wind up on the outside of the curve at about 45min mark?
An interesting tidbit: from 1:41:42 to 1:44:25 in the video, you can see the remains of the temporary routing of the rail tracks that was built after the 1952 Kern County earthquake when the tunnel at Cliff collapsed. It several months to rebuild the tunnel before the temporary track was removed.
GREAT...GREAT...
Great job! Love these!
Jake, did you use your Sony FDR AX100 to film this, or something else? What type tripod? Thanks!
Did you have to do some hiking in the Allard Ca portion of the video? I found on google maps about where you would've been and there were no roads around for quite a ways. Awesome video and love your work!
Excellent work PHX Sub, when did you get a 4k camera? Your past work was always 1080P.
are thos derailed rail cars at the mountain side at 1:19:17? If they are I'm surprised that they weren't recovered
did you hike up the mountains for these shots? I am at 7:00 so far. Did you hike up the mountain for this shot?
Are those little dirt roads public access?
TIght Squeeze @ 18:25 ...Great vid
Those engineers must be shitting their pants seeing those derail cars near Cliff
