Latin is not a race. You’re either white, mestizo or a black Hispanic. There are plenty of white and mestizo Hispanics who say wildly racist things and try to cloak it with “well I’m Latin” ...no. Your skin color is no different than an Italian or other European and there are people in Europe who are darker than you. Fat Joe says the N word. He’s white. He’s a white Puerto Rican who may have some Taino in him but he for sure ain’t black. I’m Hispanic on one side and mestizo on the other but I am very clearly light skinned. Just because you an I can speak Spanish does not mean we can relate AT ALL to what blacks, Hispanic or not, go through. Yes there is discrimination against Spanish speaking people but black people, regardless of their cultural affiliation, deal with FAR worse than us.
