- The Luau Kalamaku, located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, is IMO, the best Luau in the islands. Norwegian Cruise Lines offers this experience as an excursion on their Pride of America ship, and believe me when I say, it's not to be missed. You can book just the luau, the additional train ride, or take it all in and upgrade to the Plantation Owner's Evening, including premier seating at the luau, a train ride through the plantation, and a sit down dinner and show at Gaylord's Restaurant in the Kilohana Manor. After 21 cruises, this experience ranks right up there with some of my favorite excursions.

This show was way beyond the average luau. The talent and production is on par with Cirque Du Soleil! The sound system is so immersive, it brought tears to my eyes several times.

I was there December 2019 what a fantastic show all the synchronized dancing was wonderful and the story you told had me memorized.
