3:25 Years ago when I was stationed in Japan, I bought a bicycle out in town. I still remember that day very clearly; riding my bike exploring the city and feeling the wonder of that country. It felt so refreshing and free, and I was humming the Bicycle Theme in my head! Lol I couldn't stop smiling out of pure joy! I felt like I could go anywhere! Just like how I felt when I first got the Bike in Pokemon Red all those years ago as a kid!
I know those are pokemon videogames tracks. But this whole 9 and a half minutes of music could describe perfectly what my mind goes trough in a day. There is ambition, hope and decision in the main theme. Mostly what I experiment when I open my eyes in the morning. Then comes the peace, tranquility and serenity, eating breakfast in sunday morning. Then joy, the happiness and wholeness when I see or speak to my significant other. Then the bike theme reminds me when I'm on my way to work, full of determination and hope for a productive day (I'm a teacher) Then all of the sudden, when I'm with the kids in the classroom, I remember I'm the authority, the life example of those little people. I'm firm in dicipline, but fair and just, the kids continue working with a certain amount of chaos in the room, wich they have developed a necessity for. At 5:30, everything crumbles, something breaks inside me, when that student, who I've been cheering for so he can get better grades and gets an analytic and reflexive way of thinking, makes a mediocre work in class. My mind starts to wander if it is my fault, if I´ve failed as a teacher. At 6:00 my moment has come, it is time to accept my responsabilty, yes, but is also time to confront the parents about theirs, in hopes so they can helo their child to be a succesful and well educated person. I'm immovable, but sympatic to the parent's situation, so I try to give suggestions about how to work with their child. When 7:15 happens, is when I'm in home, grading exams, homeworks and proyects, so I can calculate the average of everyting, and I'm able to upload the final grades to the online system. The sorrow of maybe not doing everything I can with the kids still lingers, but there is ray of hope, when I'm grading and I realize that maybe becouse the kids got a math problem wrong that doesn't mean they failed. But I realize that with my guidance and the parents support they acomplished much more giving me a feeling of SUCCES! (Sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first lenguage)

I listened these and other theme music videos on YT for a while, and decided to by GBC of my own, with Pokemon Blue. So, now my children, two boys about the same age I was when I played the game, are playing the same exact game. What an awesome experience. They chose Bulbasaur in the beginning, which was suprising. I thought Charmander was obvious choice for everyone.
7:17 is just the ultimate final showdown theme. You kids who didn't grow up on Gen 1 don't understand what a big deal it was to fight Champion Gary/Blue back in the day.
