I love your Phil he is so pretty and handsome. Thank you so much for showing us how to paint him and what you said about these beautiful birds. I care a lot about Wildlife any animal and bird. It's awful what people have done to this world that takes away their habitats. Thank you so much for your humor too Paul. 🥰
Lovely painting! This is a gorgeous subject where I can try my newly purchased watercolours. About shooting pheasants... I don't like hunting, I can't see the fun of it. I just love seeing the creatures there... Have a nice day and thank you so much!
Have you ever done a video on how you film your videos? You do such a great job showing the image at the top, materials you’ll be using, your into and overhead camera placement, and your humor is great!
Thanks for another wonderful painting lesson. And thanks also for the elocution lesson and warning! Indeed, if not careful, it would be so easy to have a slip of the tongue and say "pleasant tucker," when everyone knows that it's bib and tucker that go together.
Bonjour cher Paul. Merci encore.
I couldn’t agree more about these beautiful birds bred to be shot. It’s a lovely painting and the instruction is clear. I’m looking forward to doing this painting. Thankyou for the lesson and for caring about the pheasants.
Oh, my! That must be horrible to hear the bangs! Phil is a handsome boy, for sure. Such gorgeous animals. Getting to this late...again. My new buddy is keeping me busy, but that is nice. Hansel died 10 years ago, almost. Been rough, and YOU and MARGOT have helped; I imagine you help a great many people. Thanks for this wonderful lesson!
Jacquie from Mijas here, Paul.. thanks for this great tutorial and the beautiful blend of colours! Had a real chuckle about the name of the beer.. haven't heard of that before.. was sooo relieved you pronounced it correctly!!😳🙉 (I'm sure you practised a couple of times first! 😅). After recently painting a hen and a seagull, I'd love to give this a try, but I'm the one who would try to paint each and every feather! 🤪🙈😉 Gracias! 🙋🏼
This soundtrack is your best ive found so far!! I guess i have to watch all the rest of your videos to find out if any of them can top this one. Well done to the other artist un this video. Art=Love
You are such a hoot! It is so much fun to see how you have coordinated your entire lesson, not to mention seeing what you are drinking! Such talent, thank you Paul, for the lessons.
I grew up in Eastern Oregon and back in the day my when my Dad would see a Pheasant he would say there goes a Chicken Dinner. We hunted a lot during Pheasant Season. Your painting brings back a lot of memories. Thank you!
Hi Paul, another fantastic video. I have tried painting on several occasions but just can’t seem to get away with it. If I don’t see improvement I just give up. Think I need a more structured way of learning but I keep coming back to your videos which always seem to get me motivated again. This pheasant is great so I will have another bash. Thanks for sharing 😁👍 Joe
Wow, lovely bird! I was working out at home, at same time trying to watch you paint! Lol I’m mesmerized by your talent! Felt like I was watching ballet, listening to beautiful music. Haha 😂
Thank you for this lovely painting of a pheasant. The background is beautiful and the grasses are well done. You used very nice colors for this and today I learned how paint grasses better than I thought I could paint them. Thank you once again.
Thank you for sharing how long the painting actually took. I am glad you shared at the end what other people on your facebook painted. Very interesting and so much talent everywhere.
I love to watch you paint. An amazing ability you have. Thank you so much for sharing. I shall attempt this pheasant in the next few days after I absorb all you shared about painting it.
Great tutorial of a beautiful bird. Painting loose is tough for me so I learn so much from such tutorials. And the effect of masking fluid on painted surface is superb. A request for a tutorial about painting Mandarin ducks. Thank you
Beautiful!! I think I found the subject for upcoming hubby’s birthday card! Thanks to you and Margot for all of your hard work!! Greetings from North Carolina
Thank you for the video. Many years ago we lived south of town. We were often visited by quail and pheasants. The pheasants were always so calm and it was amazing how long they would stay and just walk around looking at everything. We also had a large hawk or kite stay in our back yard. We didn’t know they would do that.
Stunning 😍 I'm sure that Phil would love to meet our regular girls, Philippa, Philamena and Phennella. We're lucky to have several variations of colour too around here including black, and white ones. They are really beautiful birds when you take time to look x
Paul Clark does it again! This peasant is gorgeous. How it comes together looks like magic happens. But we know it’s your God given talent making it look so easy. I feel I’ve learned so much from you in just the short two years I’ve been watching you. Yet there’s still so much I need to learn. The feathers are beautiful and the background is perfect. I don’t like using masking fluid so I’ll probably paint without it. This video makes me want to go paint it right now but I gotta go pick up my step son from school. Shoot! Gotta go! Lol 😂 Thanks so much for sharing!
Honestly, this was so wonderful to watch! I love Phil! I love the story and I was actually emotional watching this beautiful work of art come to life. God bless you Phil! And God bless you Paul Clark for sharing your talent, humour, travels, and heart-felt stories with the world. I just discovered you two weeks ago on RUclips and I’m addicted to watching and learning. I am truly going to give this a try! I simply adored that you posted all of your followers versions of Phil. I thought I was going to cry lol. They were all so beautiful. So much talent. Again, thank you. 🎨
@@ArtbyPaulClark You’re most welcome! Cheers from Nova Scotia, Canada. I think I have a Phil across the street. I never paint or draw animals and people because I’ve always been so intimidated… But I went online and found a pheasant and was able to pull off a sketch using sharpies and paint markers… I will attempt to do Watercolour as a backdrop. I have some masking fluid but I might just wet out around the bird very faintly and dropping some color. Not sure if that will work or not. I’m hoping so
I love this one! My husband and son are pheasant hunters here in Iowa. I love your style of painting and appreciate your sense of humor! Thanks so much for doing these paintings for us to see!!!
Thanks so much, Paul for sharing. You make it look sooo easy...even for a beginner in watercolour. .I love the colours you used, the loose style and all details of your palette. I definitely will give it a try. Please keep posting! You always manage to brighten my day!
I love this one (actually I love all of your tutorials). But I do love pheasants - where I lived growing up there were wild ring neck pheasants. It's amazing how those little details make such a big difference! Thank you so much!
Oh how beautiful!!! Thank 😊 you also for sharing the amazing talent from FB!!! Loved how unique they were and appreciated seeing the different backgrounds... With your magic the pheasant looked lifelike... take care Sir Paul and thank 😊 you again for inspiring us! With gratitude from a California Gramma ❤️

Thank you for the techniques and steps to paint this lovely bird. I think in terms of values , but still it can be a roadmap where to go next on a subject you are painting. I appreciate what you do and credit my growth as a new watercolor artist to your videos and comments. Thank you and Margo for being generous!!
Thank you very much Paul for wonderful tutorial ❤️. I love the way you created it with your magical hand. Thank you very much for your encouragements. I have already started to do the previous tutorial by sketching by myself. Get well soon wishing good health always ❤️
